The most extensive survey of carbon monoxide(CO)gas in the Taurus molecular cloud relied on ^(12)CO and ^(13)CO J=1→0 emission only,distinguishing the region where ^(12)CO is detected without ^(13)CO(named mask 1 region)from the one where both are detected(mask 2 region)(Goldsmith et al.2008;Pineda et al.2010).We have taken advantage of recent ^(12)CO J=3→2 James Clerk Maxwell Telescope observations,where they include mask 1regions to estimate density,temperature,and N(CO)with a large velocity gradient *** represents 1395 pixels out of~1.2 million in the mark 1 *** to Pineda et al.(2010)results and assuming a Tkin of 30 K,we find a higher volume density of molecular hydrogen of 3.3×10^(3) cm^(-3),compared to their 250-700 cm^(-3),and a CO column density of 5.7×10^(15)cm^(-2),about a quarter of their *** differences are important and show the necessity to observe several CO transitions to better describe the intermediate region between the dense cloud and the diffuse atomic *** observations to extend the ^(12)CO J=3→2 mapping further away from the ^(13)COdetected region comprising mask 1 are needed to revisit our understanding of the diffuse portions of dark clouds.

This paper presents a survey of technologies for personal data self-management interfacing with administrative and territorial public service *** classifies a selection of scientific technologies into four categories of solutions:Personal Data Store(PDS),Identity Manager(IdM),Anonymous Certificate System and Access Control Delegation *** category,along with its technological approach,is analyzed thanks to 18 identified functional criteria that encompass architectural and communication aspects,as well as user data lifecycle *** originality of the survey is ***,as far as we know,there is no such thorough survey covering such a panel of a dozen of existing ***,it is the first survey addressing Personally Identifiable Information(PII)management for both administrative and private service ***,this paper achieves a functional comparison of solutions of very different technical *** outcome of this paper is the clear identification of functional gaps of each *** a result,this paper establishes the research directions to follow in order to fill these functional gaps.

A new lighting and enlargement on phase spectrogram （PS） and frequency spectrogram （fS） is presented in this paper. These representations result from the coupling of power spectrogram and short time fourier transform （STfT）. The main contribution is the construction of the 3D phase spectrogram （3DPS） and the 3D frequency spectrogram （3DfS）. These new tools allow such specific test signals as small slope linear chirp, phase jump case of musical signal analysis is reported. The main objective is to and small frequency jump to be analyzed. An application detect small frequency and phase variations in order to characterize each type of sound attack without losing the amplitude information given by power spectrogram

The switchability between the two ferroelectric(fE)states of an fE material makes fEs widely used in memories and other electronic ***,for conventional fEs,its fE switching only occurs between the two fE states whose spatial inversion symmetry is *** search for fE materials is therefore subject to certain *** propose a new type of fEs whose fE states still contain spatial inversion *** change in polarization of this new type of fEs originates from electronic transfer between two centrosymmetric fE states under an external electric *** BaBiO_(3) as an example,we show that charge-ordering systems can be a typical representative of this new type of ***,unlike traditional ferroelectrics,the change in polarization in this new type of fEs is quantum in nature with the direction dependent on the specific fE transition *** work therefore not only extends the concept of fEs but may also open up a new way to find multiferroics.

This article provides an overview of the 7.0 magnitude earthquake that struck Haiti on 12 January 2010, with emphasis on the disaster losses. This catastrophic event has entered world history as one of the most destructive earthquakes on record. Yet, we only have a very incomplete idea of the losses it caused. Conflicting estimates have been published by different institutions, organizations, and individuals. The article tries to present the reasons why this event, which was a strong but not an exceptional earthquake, has caused so much devastation.

The self-assembly of nanoparticles has attracted a vast amount of attention due to the ability of the nanostructure to control light at the sub-wavelength scale,along with consequent strong electromagnetic field ***,most approaches developed for the formation of discrete assemblies are limited to a single and homogeneous system,and incorporation of larger or asymmetrical nanoparticles into assemblies with high purity remains a key ***,a simple and versatile approach to assemble nanoparticles of different sizes,shapes,and materials into various discrete homo-or hetero-structures using only two complementary deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA)strands is ***,surface functionalisation using DNA and alkyl-polyethylene glycol(PEG)enables transformation of as-synthesised nanoparticles into readily usable plasmonic building blocks for *** of the DNA coverage enables the production of different assembly types,such as homo-and hetero-dimers,trimers and tetramers and core-satellite structures,which are produced in high purity using electrophoresis *** approach is extended from purely plasmonic structures to incorporate(luminescent)semiconductor nanoparticles for formation of hybrid *** deposited assemblies form a high yield of specific geometrical arrangements,attributed to the van der Waals attraction between *** method will enable the development of new complex colloidal nanoassemblies for biological and optical applications.

The authors consider the multidimensional aggregation equation tp-div（p K＊ ρ） = 0 in which the radially symmetric attractive interaction kernel has a mild singularity at the origin （Lipschitz or better）, and review recent results on this problem concerning well-posedness of nonnegative solutions and finite time blowup in multiple space dimensions depending on the behavior of the kernel at the origin. The problem with bounded initial data, data in L^p ∩ L^1, and measure solutions are also considered.

This study addresses the problem of under-determined speech source separation from multichannel microphone signals,*** convolutive mixtures of multiple *** time-domain signals are first transformed to the short-time fourier transform(STfT)*** represent the room filters in the STfT domain,instead of the widely used narrowband assumption,the authors propose to use a more accurate model,*** convolutive transfer function(CTf).At each frequency band,the CTf coefficients of the mixing filters and the STfT coefficients of the sources are jointly estimated by maximising the likelihood of the microphone signals,which is resolved by an expectation-maximisation *** show that the proposed method provides very satisfactory performance under highly reverberant environments.

Materials possessing antipolar cation motions are currently receiving a lot of attention because they are fundamentally intriguing while being technologically *** studies devoted to these complex materials have focused on their static properties or on their zone-center *** a result,some important dynamics of antipolar cation distortions,such as the temperature behavior of their phonon frequencies,have been much less investigated,despite the possibility to exhibit unusual ***,we report the results and analysis of atomistic simulations revealing and explaining such dynamics for BifeO3 bulks being subject to hydrostatic *** is first predicted that cooling such material yields the following phase transition sequence:the cubic paraelectric Pm3m state at high temperature,followed by an intermediate phase possessing long-range-ordered in-phase oxygen octahedral tiltings,and then the Pnma state that is known to possess antipolar cation motions in addition to in-phase and antiphase oxygen octahedral *** cation modes are found to all have high phonon frequencies that are independent of temperature in the paraelectric *** the other hand and in addition to antipolar cation modes increasing in number,some phonons possessing antipolar cation character are rather soft in the intermediate and Pnma *** of our data combined with the development of a simple model reveals that such features originate from a dynamical mixing between pure antipolar cation phonons and fluctuations of oxygen octahedral tiltings,as a result of a specific trilinear energetic *** developed model can also be easily applied to predict dynamics of antipolar cation motions for other possible structural paths bringing Pm3m to Pnma states.
