Ferroptosis is a type of cell death accompanied by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation,thus stimulating ferroptosis may be a potential strategy for treating gastric cancer,therapeutic agents against which are urgently *** oridonin A(JDA) is a natural compound isolated from Jiyuan Rabdosia rubescens with anti-tumor activity,unclear anti-tumor mechanisms and limited water solubility hamper its clinical ***,we showed a2,a new JDA derivative,inhibited the growth of gastric cancer ***,we discovered for the first time that a2 induced ***,compound a2 decreased GPX4 expression and overexpressing GPX4 antagonized the anti-proliferative activity of ***,we demonstrated that a2 caused ferrous iron accumulation through the autophagy pathway,prevention of which rescued a2 induced ferrous iron elevation and cell growth ***,a2 exhibited more potent anti-cancer activity than 5-fluorouracil in gastric canc er cell line-derived xenograft mice ***-derived tumor xenograft models from different patients displayed varied sensitivity to a2,and GPX4 downregulation indicated the sensitivity of tumors to ***,a2 exhibited well pharmacokinetic characteristic ***,our data suggest that inducing ferroptosis is the major mechanism mediating anti-tumor activity of a2,and a2 will hopefully serve as a promising compound for gastric cancer treatment.

Effect of grain size on α-variant selection in a ZrTiAlV alloy

Local crystallographic orientation characteristics of grains with different sizes in a ZrTiAlValloy after interrupted cooling from βphase region are investigated by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD) technique. A statistical analysis of EBSD data shows that bigger parent β grains present weaker variant selection than smaller grains. The relevant influences are studied by comparing the nucleation behavior of grain boundary α(GBα) and succedent growth stage in varisized grains. In-depth analysis indicates that the deviation between pole of GBα and common pole of adjacent parent β grains is responsible for the smaller degree of variant selection inside the bigger parent β grains. The formation of more than one GBα type at the β/β grain boundary with common pole in bigger grains results in obstructing each other for these variants during the following growth stage, while only one type of GBα nucleate at the β/β grain boundary with common pole in smaller grains and it can freely grow into the interior of the grains, leading to stronger variant selection in smaller β grains.

The irradiation resistance of pre-deformed FeCu alloy was studied using a 3 MeV Fe ion irradiation experiment at room temperature in comparison with that of the as-received *** and atom probe tomography(APT) were used to characterize the mechanical properties and solute *** stress-strain curve obtained by nanoindentation shows that the yield strength(σ0.2) of the pre-deformed sample is unexpectedly reduced with an increase in the irradiation dose to five displacements per atom(dpa).We suggest that it results both from the decrease in the dislocation density and the suppression of defects during *** shows that the nucleation of the Cu cluster is suppressed;however,its growth is promoted in the pre-deformed sample,resulting in the formation of sparse and coarse clusters at 1 dpa *** coarse Cu clusters were then unexpectedly refined to finer grains with an increase in the irradiation dose to 5 ***,the improvement in the resistance to irradiation in the pre-deformed sample is attributed to the dense point-defect sinks,that is,the dislocations and grain boundaries introduced by *** addition,the contributions of the dislocations and grain boundaries to the sink strength are estimated for both the as-received and pre-deformed *** results indicate that dislocations,rather than grain boundaries,play a major role after deformation.

Improved Nonlinear Equation Method for Numerical Prediction of Jominy End-Quench Curves

Without considering the effects of alloying interaction on the Jominy end-quench curves, the prediction resuits obtained by YU Bai-hai＇s nonlinear equation method for multi-alloying steels were different from those experimental ones reported in literature. Some alloying elements have marked influence on Jominy end-quench curves of steels. An improved mathematical model for simulating the Jominy end-quench curves is proposed by introducing a parameter named alloying interactions equivalent （Le）. With the improved model, the Jominy end-quench curves of steels so obtained agree very well with the experimental ones.

A slab model with a uniform plasma flow and magnetic field along the slab is carried out to study the resistive wall instability driven by longitudinal plasma *** solutions of complex frequency in the dispersion relation of this system are calculated numerically,and the results indicate that there are three eigen modes in this *** of them is the normal stable plasma mode;another one is the resistive wall instability driven by plasma flow,which can be excited when the flow exceeds critical velocity,and can be stabilized when the flow increases *** the same time,the last mode similar to the K-H mode will become unstable.

Based on the principle of the Lorentz covariance, the transition matrix elements from an off-shell photon state to the vacuum are parameterized by the light-cone photon distribution amplitudes （DAs）. Both the scalar off-shell photon light-cone DA and the corresponding coupling are calculated in the instanton vacuum model of quantum chromodynamics （QCD）, and their explicit analytical expressions and the numerical results are given. The results for the other chiral-odd light-cone photon DAs and their couplings are presented as well.

Crystal engineering,as a burgeoning technology,has been widely used to construct metalloporphyrins biomimetic ***,a bimetallic metal-organic framework(MOF)was constructed by 4-(4-carboxyphenyl)-1,2,4-triazole ligand,Co2+and Zr4+metal ions by solvothermal reaction(named PFC-88).A N,N-chelation site was found between the two adjacent ligands in PFC-88,consequently a porphyrin-like structure was obtained through chelating Fe^(3+) in this site by post-modification,named *** result of a single crystal X-ray technology verified that Fe ions were successfully metalated in the N,N-chelation site of PFC-88,which is assisted by the X-ray absorption near-edge structure(XANES)*** o-phenylenediamine oxidation reaction was applied to assessing the catalytic activity of PFC-88-Fe,in which the absorbance increases of phenazine-2,3-diamine atλ=418 nm were recorded by absorption spectroscopy in kinetic mode,exhibiting the application potential as a biomimetic catalyst.
