Coping Styles and Depression among Patients with Solid Organ Cancers Attending Two Tertiary Care Hospitals of Karachi: A Cross Sectional Study

Cancer undoubtedly affects patients in all aspects. Cancer diagnosis is a stressful event and coping is the primary mechanism used to adjust and counteract the stress. This study aims to assess the coping styles and prevalence of depression among solid organ cancer patients during treatment phase, attending two tertiary care hospitals of Karachi. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among solid organ cancer patients at Aga Khan University Hospital and Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Center. Coping and depression were assessed by Brief COPE and Self Reporting Questionnaire (SRQ) 20 respectively. Purposive sampling technique was used to recruit 488 patients. Coping styles are reported as mean ± SD. Prevalence has been computed for depression and Chi-square test is used to assess the relationship of depression with different variables. Correlation was assessed for coping styles and depression. The frequently used coping styles were active coping, acceptance, religion and self-distraction. 48.4% depression was estimated among patients. The significantly positive correlation of depression was found with active coping, planning, self-blame, venting, use of emotional support and substance use. While depression correlated negatively with acceptance, religion, self-distraction and humor. Depression was significantly associated with study sites, age, socioeconomic quintiles, past history of hospitalization and substance use. Our research addressed the missing element of mental health in oncology. Depression is a common mental ailment and often the initial manifestation towards deterioration of mental health. Each cancer patient copes differently which either promotes or hinders their fighting spirit. Hence, mental health screening and counseling are recommended in the treatment protocol of cancer patients. Also, support group interventions can help cancer patients to cope effectively.

Mobile communication through 5G technology is the key objective of this work. Existing research works in mobile communication through 5G technology in world submitted a great necessary development towards 5G technology in different work approaches including hardware and software. 4G technology includes several standards under a common umbrella, similar to previous generations of communication technologies. Actually 4G is good for now, however if look at it in five or ten years, 4G will obviously not be able to meet requirements for new applications coming up in the next few years. With 5G will increase the data rate, reduce the end-to-end latency, and improve coverage. These properties are particularly important for many applications related to IoT and D2D, which they are recognized as ones of the technology components of the evolving 5G architecture. The major contribution of this paper is the key provisions of mobile communication through 5G (Fifth Generation) technology of which is seen as consumer oriented. In 5G technology and mobile consumer has given top priority over others. 5G technology is to make use of mobile phones within very high bandwidth. Infections: The Achilles Heel of Immunosuppression for Renal Transplantation and Immunological Renal Disease Management in the Top End of Northern Australia: Case Reports

Improved immunosuppression regimens have led to better survival for patients with renal transplant grafts and patients with immunological renal diseases worldwide. However, this is not the case in the Northern Territory of Australia. Available limited published data from the Northern Territory of Australia have shown poor outcomes for renal transplantation with survival for both patients and grafts around 50% at 5 years suggesting death with a functioning graft as the commonest cause of graft loss. These studies have shown that the leading cause of death is infections. Achieving the right level of immunosuppression to prevent rejection in renal transplantation and achieve remission in immunological renal diseases can be a major challenge in areas with high prevalence of infections such as the Northern Territory. We present 2 cases of the challenges from infections of immunosuppression in renal transplantation and immunological renal diseases in the Northern Territory of Australia. A 57 year old Aboriginal woman received a deceased donor renal transplant in 2006. She has been plagued by recurrence of several life threatening infections including urinary tract, cytomegalovirus, and severe cryptococcocus infections. This resulted in immunosuppression reduction and failure of the transplant 5 years post transplantation. A 20 year old Aboriginal woman presented with a combination of severe lupus nephritis and severe sepsis. She fully recovered after treatment with antibiotics and careful immunosuppression. However, she has had recurrent hospital admissions with life threatening infections resulting in stopping the immunosuppression. She then had severe lupus nephritis flare leading to dialysis dependence and will need a renal transplant. The cases illustrate the need for tailored and robust immunosuppression and transplant work up protocols. Reflection Seismology technique (Seismic Survey) is widely used around the world to produce a detailed analogue image of subsurface geological structures. This information is used by petroleum experts to accurately plan the location of oil wells. Seismic survey sections and corresponding well logs exhibit different variables like acoustic impedance of rock, seismic velocity, rock density, porosity, time and depth that can be manipulated in GIS to infer a subsurface model for stratigraphic as well as structural interpretations. In recent years, GIS has emerged as a powerful analytical tool for subsurface mapping and analysis. Petroleum exploration is a map intensive process that requires the powerful capabilities of GIS. Purpose of this research is integration of Geographical Information System with Seismic Surveys for Structural and Stratigraphic Interpretation of subsurface Geology and locating Petroleum Prospects. In this research work, GIS has been used to investigate subsurface geological structures and stratigraphy to carefully analyze the capabilities of GIS for finding new petroleum prospects in active thrust belt of Meyal, Potwar region, Pakistan. Acquisition of two-dip and three-strike seismic lines is along with well log data, followed by spatial seismic data processing, development of geophysical data management interface, interpolation of shot point data, trend surface analysis and Geostatistical analysis using GIS. Subsurface zones of high, low or null probability of petroleum accumulation were then, mapped. Finally, GIS based maps were developed. Geospatial tomography GIS model inferred that study area is structurally deformed and exhibits excessive geological faults, and structural traps. With GIS-tomography interpretation of section 97-MYL-08, a potential oil bearing zone (popup anticline), bounded by two thrust faults was observed at almost 3.6 Km depth in Meyal area with average density of about 2.6 gm/cm3. Objectives Blood stream infections(BSIs)are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in children *** present study was carried out to determine the prevalence of BSI with a focus on the identification of the causative agent of BSI,and to further evaluate the antibiotic susceptibility profile of the causing bacterial *** A cross-section study was carried out at the tertiary care hospital in Peshawar,Pakistan from January to December,*** samples were collected in BACTEC™botdes and standard microbiological protocols were applied for the isolation and identification of bacterial *** antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed using disc diffusion method as per the 2014 guideline of Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute(CLSI).Results Of 567 blood cultures in total,111(19.6%)were positive for *** children were 64%(71/111)and female children were 36%(40/111).For the causative predominant group of microorganisms,Gramnegative bacteria were identified in 79(71.1%)isolates,and Gram-positive bacteria in 32(28.9%)*** common bacteria of isolates were ***(n=35,31.5%),***(n=19,17.1%),***(n=18,16.2%),***(n=12,10.8%),and Enterococcus species(n=7,6.3%).The 36.7%(29/79)isolates of Gram-negative bacteria were ESBL producers,and 61.1%(11/18)of *** isolates were methicillin ***,72.9%isolates were multidrug *** Gram-negative bacteria were the main cause of pediatric BSIs,where the predominant microorganism was S.卯***,majority of the *** isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin.

目的系统评价心血管疾病患者运动恐惧评估工具的测量学特性及方法学质量,为医护人员选择高质量的评估工具提供参考。方法系统检索Embase、the Cochrane *** of Science、中国知网、万方数据库、中国生物医学文献数据库、CINAHL和维普数据库中有关心血管疾病患者运动恐惧量表测量属性的研究,检索时限为建库至2023年4月1日,并追溯纳人文献的参考文献以补充相关文献。两名研究员按照纳人排除标准,独立筛选文献、提取数据,并使用COSMIN偏倚风险检查表独立评估量表的方法学质量,使用COSMIN标准评估量表评价测量学特性,使用改良版定量系统评价证据分级评估证据等级。结果共纳人17项研究,对6个心血管疾病患者运动恐惧评估工具(包含不同语言版本)的心理测量学特性进行了评价,仅有2项研究报告的量表内容效度方法学质量为很好,其余研究报告的量表内容效度方法学质量为模糊。关于跨文化有效性/测量不变性、测量误差和反应性的信息较少。瑞典语版及中文版坦帕运动恐惧症量表(the Tampa Scale for Kinesiophobia Heart,TSK Heart)为A类推荐,其他工具为B类推荐。结论现有研究中报告的瑞典语版和中文版TSKHeart的方法学及测量学属性质量相对较高,可被推荐使用,其余量表的测量学特性有待进--步验证。

The study was conducted in water marshes for five major marshes during the months of January, April and September of each region （Hawizeh, Hammer and the central marsh） in southern Iraq. Bacteriological analysis that some of the default pathological bacteria, including TC （Total bacterial count）, FCB （faecal coliform bacteria）, MPN （coliform bacteria） and FS （faecal streptococcus） can evidence to indicate of pollution. The results showed that most of the water samples examined pathological contain bacteria which indicates that the water is unfit for human consumption and the waters as basal （more hydrogen than No. 7）. There was a high salinity more than the permissible limits for human consumption and even to irrigate crops, and the same case for dissolve oxygen which exceeded are other limits as drinking water.

Recently,outstanding identification rates in image classification tasks were achieved by convolutional neural networks(CNNs).to use such skills,selective CNNs trained on a dataset of well-known images of metal surface defects captured with an RGB *** must be detected early to take timely corrective action due to production *** image classification up till now,a model-based method has been utilized,which indicated the predicted reflection characteristics of surface defects in comparison to flaw-free *** problem of detecting steel surface defects has grown in importance as a result of the vast range of steel applications in end-product sectors such as automobiles,households,construction,*** processes for detections are time-consuming,labor-intensive,and *** strategies have been used to automate manual processes,but CNN models have proven to be the most effective rather than image processing andmachine learning *** using differentCNNmodels with fine-tuning,easily compare their performance and select the best-performing model for the same kinds of ***,it is important that using different CNN models either from fine tuning can be computationally expensive and ***,our study helps the upcoming researchers to choose the CNN without considering the issues of model complexity,performance,and computational *** this article,the performance of various CNN models like Visual Geometry Group,VGG16,VGG19,ResNet152,ResNet152V2,Xception,InceptionV3,InceptionResNetV2,NASNetLarge,MobileNetV2,and DenseNet201 with transfer learning techniques are *** models were chosen based on their popularity and impact in the field of computer vision research,as well as their performance on benchmark *** to the outcomes,DenseNet201 outperformed the other CNN models and had the greatest detection rate on the NEU dataset,falling in at 98.37 percent.
