Luminescence regulation of Sb^(3+)in 0D hybrid metal halides by hydrogen bond network for optical anti-counterfeiting

The Sb^(3+) doping strategy has been proven to be an effective way to regulate the band gap and improve the photophysical properties of organic-inorganic hybrid metal halides(OIhmhs).however,the emission of Sb^(3+) ions in OIhmhs is primarily confined to the low energy region,resulting in yellow or red *** date,there are few reports about green emission of Sb^(3+)-doped ***,we present a novel approach for regulating the luminescence of Sb^(3+) ions in 0D C_(10)h_(2)_(2)N_(6)InCl_(7)·h_(2)O via hydrogen bond network,in which water molecules act as agents for hydrogen ***^(3+)-doped C_(10)h_(2)2N_(6)InCl_(7)·h_(2)O shows a broadband green emission peaking at 540 nm and a high photoluminescence quantum yield(PLQY)of 80%.It is found that the intense green emission stems from the radiative recombination of the self-trapped excitons(STEs).Upon removal of water molecules with heat,C_(10)h_(2)_(2)N_(6)In_(1-x)Sb_(x)Cl_(7) generates yellow emis-sion,attributed to the breaking of the hydrogen bond network and large structural distortions of excited *** water molecules are adsorbed by C_(10)h_(2)_(2)N_(6)In_(1-x)Sb_(x)Cl_(7),it can subsequently emit green *** water-induced reversible emission switching is successfully used for optical security and information *** findings expand the under-standing of how the local coordination structure influences the photophysical mechanism in Sb^(3+)-doped metal halides and provide a novel method to control the STEs emission.

Calibration of ASTER and ETm + Imagery Using Empirical Line method——A Case Study of North-East of hajjah, Yemen

This study is aimed at using the Empirical Line method （ELm） to eliminate atmospheric effects with respect to visible and near infrared bands of advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer （ASTER） and enhanced thematic mapper plus （ETm＋） data. Two targets （Amran limestone as light target and quartz-biotite-sericite-graphite schists as dark target）, which were widely exposed and easy to identify in the imagery were selected. The accuracy of the atmospheric correction method was evaluated from three targets （vegetation cover, Amran limestone and Akbra shale） of the surface reflectance. Analytical spectral devices （ASD） FieldSpec3 was used to measure the spectra of target samples. ETm＋ data were less influenced by the atmospheric effect when compared to ASTER data. Normalized differences vegetation indices （NDVI） displayed good results with reflectance data when compared with digital number （DN） data because it is highly sensitive to ground truth reflectance （GTR）. most of the differences observed before and after calibration of satellite images （ASTER and ETm＋） were absorbed in the SWlR region.

multi-functionalized and co-doped TiO_(2)/C nanocomposites were derived from the pyrolysis of Ti-mOFs at 800℃under different gaseous atmospheres and their photocatalytic performance were *** gaseous atmosphere during pyrolysis plays a critical role in determining the structural,textural,optical and physicochemical properties of the derived TiO_(2)/C composites due to the synergistic effect of nitrogen-containing species,carboxylate and sulfur functionalized porous carbon as well as N/S co-doped TiO_(2)*** the Ti-mOFs derived TiO_(2)/C composites exclusively possess homogeneously distributed TiO_(2)nanoparticles in a functionalized disc-like porous carbon matrix and demonstrate much enhanced adsorption and photodegradation performance than commercial TiO_(2)under the same *** adsorption of methylene blue(mB)in dark on these TiO_(2)/C composites are dominated with pseudo second-order kinetic model and the high adsorption capacity of mB in dark on composite TiO_(2)/C derived from mIL-125(Ti)in argon is due to its high surface area with predominant mesoporous carbon matrix in the *** composite N-O-TiO_(2)/C derived from Nh2-mIL-125(Ti)in water vapor exhibited the highest photodegradation activity with 99.7%mB removal in 3 h under visible light due to the optimal anatase/rutile phasejunction,together with the formation of photoactive oxygen-rich N-O like interstitial/intraband states above the valence band of TiO_(2),as well as the presence of N-containing species and-Oh/-COOh multi-functional groups with superhydrophilic nature of the *** simple one-step and easily modifiable approach can be further employed to modulate homogeneously dispersed multi-functionalized and co-doped metal oxide/carbon nanocomposites for various environment and energy-related applications.

The Effect of Injected Air Bubble Size on the Thermal Performance of a Vertical Shell and helical Coiled Tube heat Exchanger

In the present study,the effect of injecting air bubble size on the thermal performance of a vertical counter-current shell and coiled tube heat exchanger is experimentally *** experiments were accomplished in a cylindrical shape heat exchanger with a 50 cm height and 15 cm outer *** coil with 3.939 m equivalent length and 0.6 cm outer diameter was used to carry the hot fluid(water).Four different cold fluid(shell side)flow rates(Q_(s)=2;4;6 and 8 LPm)Þunder laminar flow conditions(316≤Re≤1223),constant hot(coil side)flow rate fluid rates(Q_(h)=1 LPm),four different injected air flow rates(Q_(a)=0:5;1;1:5 and 2 LPm),invariant temperature difference(ΔT=20°C),and constant bubble’s number(1400)were *** demonstrate the effect of bubble size,a sparger with orifice diameters of 0.1,0.8,and 1.5 mm was manufactured and used in the *** overall heat transfer coefficient(U),NTU,effectiveness,and pressure loss were *** experimental results clearly showed that the heat exchanger’s thermal efficiency significantly improved with increasing the shell side flow rate and the injected air flow *** maximum improvement in U,NTU,and effectiveness was 153%,153%,and 68%,*** thermal performance of the heat exchanger was shown to be improved with increasing the bubble *** the latter finding agrees with recent CFD published results,more studies need to be confirmed.

A protective role of resveratrol against the effects of immobilization stress in corpora lutea of mice in early pregnancy

In the present study,we aimed to investigate a protective role for resveratrol against the effects of immobilization stress on corpora lutea(CL)of mice in early pregnancy.A total of 45 early-pregnant mice were divided into no immobilization stress(NIS)group,immobilization stress(IS)group,and immobilization and resveratrol treatment(IS+RES)group(n=15).mice were immobilized in plastic tubes(50 mL)for 3 h per day during day 1 to 7 of *** the IS+RES group,5 mg kg-'d-1 of resveratrol was administered just prior to application of *** analyzed apoptotic activity in CL by Western botting analysis(WB),transmission electron microscopy(TEm),and immunohistochemistry(IhC).Serum progesterone levels were examined with radioimmunoassay(RIA).IhC results showed that the intensity of positive staining for Bax was increased,and for BcI-2 was decreased in CL after IS,while resveratrol treatment reversed the positive staining for Bax and *** revealed that immobilization stress up-regulated the expression of Bax and caspase-9,and down-regulated Bcl-2 expression,while resveratrol treatment attenuated the effects of immobilization stress on the expression of Bax,Bcl-2 and *** to our TEm results,apoptosis as defined by chromatin condensation was found in CL after immobilization stress,while resveratrol inhibited the *** also demonstrated that immobilization stress decreased progesterone concentrations and ovarian expression of StAR,while resveratrol restored the concentrations of progesterone and expression of StAR back to *** results indicated that immobilization stress induced luteal regression while resveratrol inhibited luteal regression,suggesting that resveratrol plays a protective role on corpora lutea of mice during early pregnancy.

Fever as the only manifestation of hypersensitivity reactions associated with oxaliplatin in a patient with colorectal cancer Oxaliplatin-induced hypersensitivity reaction

hypersensitivity reactions （hSR） to oxaliplatin in patients with colorectal cancer include facial flushing, erythema, pruritis, fever, tachycardia, dyspnea, tongue swelling, rash/hives, headache, chills, weakness, vomiting, burning sensations, dizziness, and edema. We report a patient with fever as the sole manifestation of initial hSR, review the literature and discuss the management of hSR. A 57-year-old female with T3N2m0 rectal adenocarcinoma received modified FOLFOX-6. She tolerated the first 8 cycles without any toxicities except grade 1 peripheral neuropathy and nausea. During 9th and 10th infusions, she developed fever to a maximum of 38.3℃ with stable hemodynamic status despite medications. During 11th infusion, she developed grade 3 hSR consisting of symptomatic bronchospasm, hypotension, nausea, vomiting, cough, and fever. On examination, she was pale, cyanotic, with a temperature of 38.8℃, BP dropped to 95/43 mm hg, pulse of 116/min and O2 saturation of 88%-91%. She was hospitalized for management and recovered in 24 h. Fever alone is not a usual symptom of oxaliplatin hSR. It may be indicative that the patient may develop serious reactions subsequently, as did our patient who developed hypotension with the third challenge. Treatment and prevention consists of slowing the infusion rate, use of steroids and antagonists of Type 1 and 2 histamine receptor antagonists, whereas desensitization could help to provide the small number of patients who experience severe hSR with the ability to further receive an effective therapy for their colorectal cancer.

Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ),V(Ⅲ),Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)complexes of indole-3-acetic acid(IAAh)ligand were synthesized,characterized by elemental analysis and various spectroscopic techniques like,IR,1h-NmR,X-ray powder diffraction,UV-Visible,thermogravimetry analysis,magnetic measurements,molar conductance and surface morphology using *** the synthesized complexes of IAAh ligand have 1∶2 stoichiometry of the types[Te(IAA)2(Nh 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅰ),[Se(IAA)2(Nh 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅱ),[V(IAA)2(Nh 3)(Cl)](Ⅲ),[Nb(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅳ),and[Ta(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅴ).Spectral analysis indicates octahedral geometry for the Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ)and V(Ⅲ)complexes,whereas both Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)have a *** bonding sites are the oxygen atoms of carboxylate group for the deprotonated indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)*** thermogravimetry analysis studies gave evidence for the presence of other coordinated molecules(Cl or Nh 3)in the composition of IAA complexes,which were further supported by IR and micro analytical *** higher molar conductance data of tellurium and selenium(Ⅳ)complexes reveal that these chelates are electrolytes,while low conductivity values for the vanadium(Ⅲ),niobium and tantalum(Ⅴ)chelates indicated a *** test the antibacterial property of the five complexes in this study,four bacterial strains Klebsiella(G-),Escherichia coli(G-),Staphylococcus aureus(G+)and Staphylococcus epidermidis(G+)were used in the *** effects of the five complexes in the cytotoxicity of Caco-2 and mcf-7 human cancer cell lines were studied Neutral red uptake assay for the estimation of cell viability/cytotoxicity protocol.

Surface-illuminated photon-trapping high-speed Ge-on-Si photodiodes with improved efficiency up to 1700 nm

In this paper, high-speed surface-illuminated Ge-on-Si pin photodiodes with improved efficiency are demonstrated. With photon-trapping microhole features, the external quantum efficiency(EQE) of the Ge-on-Si pin diode is >80% at 1300 nm and 73% at 1550 nm with an intrinsic Ge layer of only 2 μm thickness, showing much improvement compared to one without microholes. more than threefold EQE improvement is also observed at longer wavelengths beyond 1550 nm. These results make the microhole-enabled Ge-on-Si photodiodes promising to cover both the existing C and L bands, as well as a new data transmission window(1620–1700 nm),which can be used to enhance the capacity of conventional standard single-mode fiber cables. These photodiodes have potential for many applications, such as inter-/intra-datacenters, passive optical networks, metro and longhaul dense wavelength division multiplexing systems, eye-safe lidar systems, and quantum *** CmOS and Bi CmOS monolithic integration compatibility of this work is also attractive for Ge CmOS,near-infrared sensing, and communication integration.
