Physical and economic impacts of studded tyre use on pavement structures in cold climates

In cold regions like Alaska of USA,Canada and the northern parts of Europe,using studded tyres is common among the public when driving in icy and snowy ***,studded tyres cause extensive wear to asphalt pavement,reducing pavement *** study addresses the physical and economic impacts of winter studded tyres on the roadway system to better inform decision makers as they develop alternative solutions and future *** approach is applied in a case study from a sample of Alaska statewide road *** were employed to examine the extent of the use of studded tyres and cost-effective alternatives.A pavement life-cycle cost review was established considering several variables to discover a realistic cost of roadway resurfacing and *** rates due to studded tyres and rut rates due to wheel loads were found for different highway *** results indicate higher average wear rates due to studded passenger vehicles on freeways than average rut rates due to heavy wheel *** results also indicate lower average wear rates on arterial and collector *** estimates show that studded tyre use reduced asphalt surface life by about 7 years on the selected freeway sample in the case study,which is about 47%loss in pavement life based on the initial design life of 15 *** road classes experienced lower reductions in service ***,cost analysis was provided to reflect the impact of studded tyres on the state’s *** were suggested,which in turn may help other cold regions develop strategies on the use of new winter tyre technology.

Myocarditis is an inflammatory disease of the myocardium. The clinical presentation of myocarditis may range from subclinical to sudden death. The incidence of fatal myocarditis, which often presents with sudden or rapid death, has been estimated at 0.15/100.000 in the general population and is highest in infants and young adults （but may affect any age group）. However, diffuse myocarditis in autopsies of sudden death is 〈 2% in adult.

Real and Altered Fingerprint Classification Based on Various Features and Classifiers

Biometric recognition refers to the identification of individuals through their unique behavioral features(e.g.,fingerprint,face,and iris).We need distinguishing characteristics to identify people,such as fingerprints,which are world-renowned as the most reliablemethod to identify *** recognition of fingerprints has become a standard procedure in forensics,and different techniques are available for this *** current techniques lack interest in image enhancement and rely on high-dimensional features to generate classification ***,we proposed an effective fingerprint classification method for classifying the fingerprint image as authentic or altered since criminals and hackers routinely change their fingerprints to generate fake *** order to improve fingerprint classification accuracy,our proposed method used the most effective texture features and *** Analysis(DCA)and Gaussian Discriminant Analysis(GDA)are employed as classifiers,along with Histogram of Oriented Gradient(HOG)and Segmentation-based Feature Texture Analysis(SFTA)feature vectors as *** performance of the classifiers is determined by assessing a range of feature sets,and the most accurate results are *** proposed method is tested using a Sokoto Coventry Fingerprint Dataset(SOCOFing).The SOCOFing project includes 6,000 fingerprint images collected from 600 African people whose fingerprints were taken ten *** distinct degrees of obliteration,central rotation,and z-cut have been performed to obtain synthetically altered replicas of the genuine *** proposal achieved massive success with a classification accuracy reaching 99%.The experimental results indicate that the proposed method for fingerprint classification is feasible and *** experiments also showed that the proposed SFTA-based GDA method outperformed state-of-art approaches in feature dimension and classification accuracy.

Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ),V(Ⅲ),Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)complexes of indole-3-acetic acid(IAAH)ligand were synthesized,characterized by elemental analysis and various spectroscopic techniques like,IR,1H-NMR,X-ray powder diffraction,UV-Visible,thermogravimetry analysis,magnetic measurements,molar conductance and surface morphology using *** the synthesized complexes of IAAH ligand have 1∶2 stoichiometry of the types[Te(IAA)2(NH 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅰ),[Se(IAA)2(NH 3)2]·2Cl(Ⅱ),[V(IAA)2(NH 3)(Cl)](Ⅲ),[Nb(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅳ),and[Ta(IAA)2(Cl)3](Ⅴ).Spectral analysis indicates octahedral geometry for the Te(Ⅳ),Se(Ⅳ)and V(Ⅲ)complexes,whereas both Nb(Ⅴ)and Ta(Ⅴ)have a *** bonding sites are the oxygen atoms of carboxylate group for the deprotonated indole-3-acetic acid(IAA)*** thermogravimetry analysis studies gave evidence for the presence of other coordinated molecules(Cl or NH 3)in the composition of IAA complexes,which were further supported by IR and micro analytical *** higher molar conductance data of tellurium and selenium(Ⅳ)complexes reveal that these chelates are electrolytes,while low conductivity values for the vanadium(Ⅲ),niobium and tantalum(Ⅴ)chelates indicated a *** test the antibacterial property of the five complexes in this study,four bacterial strains Klebsiella(G-),Escherichia coli(G-),Staphylococcus aureus(G+)and Staphylococcus epidermidis(G+)were used in the *** effects of the five complexes in the cytotoxicity of Caco-2 and Mcf-7 human cancer cell lines were studied Neutral red uptake assay for the estimation of cell viability/cytotoxicity protocol.

A Novel Improved Artificial Bee Colony and Blockchain-Based Secure Clustering Routing Scheme for FANET

Flying Ad hoc Network(FANET)has drawn significant consideration due to its rapid advancements and extensive use in civil ***,the characteristics of FANET including high mobility,limited resources,and distributed nature,have posed a new challenge to develop a secure and ef-ficient routing scheme for *** overcome these challenges,this paper proposes a novel cluster based secure routing scheme,which aims to solve the routing and data security problem of *** this scheme,the optimal cluster head selection is based on residual energy,online time,reputation,blockchain transactions,mobility,and connectivity by using Improved Artificial Bee Colony Optimization(IABC).The proposed IABC utilizes two different search equations for employee bee and onlooker bee to enhance convergence rate and exploitation ***,a lightweight blockchain consensus algorithm,AI-Proof of Witness Consensus Algorithm(AI-PoWCA)is proposed,which utilizes the optimal cluster head for *** AI-PoWCA,the concept of the witness for block verification is also involved to make the proposed scheme resource efficient and highly resilient against 51%*** results demonstrate that the proposed scheme outperforms its counterparts and achieves up to 90%packet delivery ratio,lowest end-to-end delay,highest throughput,resilience against security attacks,and superior in block processing time.

Fever as the only manifestation of hypersensitivity reactions associated with oxaliplatin in a patient with colorectal cancer Oxaliplatin-induced hypersensitivity reaction

Hypersensitivity reactions （HSR） to oxaliplatin in patients with colorectal cancer include facial flushing, erythema, pruritis, fever, tachycardia, dyspnea, tongue swelling, rash/hives, headache, chills, weakness, vomiting, burning sensations, dizziness, and edema. We report a patient with fever as the sole manifestation of initial HSR, review the literature and discuss the management of HSR. A 57-year-old female with T3N2M0 rectal adenocarcinoma received modified FOLFOX-6. She tolerated the first 8 cycles without any toxicities except grade 1 peripheral neuropathy and nausea. During 9th and 10th infusions, she developed fever to a maximum of 38.3℃ with stable hemodynamic status despite medications. During 11th infusion, she developed grade 3 HSR consisting of symptomatic bronchospasm, hypotension, nausea, vomiting, cough, and fever. On examination, she was pale, cyanotic, with a temperature of 38.8℃, BP dropped to 95/43 mm Hg, pulse of 116/min and O2 saturation of 88%-91%. She was hospitalized for management and recovered in 24 h. Fever alone is not a usual symptom of oxaliplatin HSR. It may be indicative that the patient may develop serious reactions subsequently, as did our patient who developed hypotension with the third challenge. Treatment and prevention consists of slowing the infusion rate, use of steroids and antagonists of Type 1 and 2 histamine receptor antagonists, whereas desensitization could help to provide the small number of patients who experience severe HSR with the ability to further receive an effective therapy for their colorectal cancer.

Synthesis and Spectroscopic Characterizations of the Mono-and Bimolecular Iron(Ⅲ)Complexes by the Interaction With Tris Buffer in Neutralized Media:Biological and Morphological Investigations

The reaction of iron(Ⅲ)anions,FeCl 3 and Fe 2(SO 4)3 with tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane(Tris)in a 1∶2 molar ratio affords the new coordination compounds NH 4[Fe 2(Tris)2(H 2O)4(SO 4)](Ⅰ)and NH 4[Fe(Tris)2(H 2O)2](Ⅱ).These compounds were characterized by elemental analysis,and their molecular structures were determined by spectroscopic methods(infrared and electronic spectra),magnetic susceptibility,and molar conductivity measurements,and further corroborated by thermo gravimetric analysis and its differential(TGA/DrTGA).According to the experimental data,the complexes can be characterized in the solid state as mono-and binuclear,with a distorted octahedral *** distorted octahedral stereochemistry adopted by the complexes was confirmed by the magnetic susceptibility measurement of NH 4[Fe 2(Tris)2(H 2O)4(SO 4)],which consists of a six-coordinate iron atoms in a distorted octahedral environment constructed from four O atoms(two Tris molecules),two O atoms from the loosely associated SO 4 coordinated ligand,and O,N of second Tris molecule with occupying by four oxygen atoms of coordinated water ***,NH 4[Fe(Tris)2(H 2O)2]complex the mono iron atom is surrounded by six oxygen atoms as four by two Tris molecules and two coordinated water molecules in axial *** and anticancer activities of the complexes were studied and the complexes were screened against bacteria,colorectal adenocarcinoma(Caco-2)and breast cancer(Mcf-7)cell lines.
