Aim:Evaluation of the antitumor activity of the new drug Dekoglitz in animals with tumor strains of sarcoma 45 in comparison with the drug dekocin,from which it was obtained,as well as with 5-fluorouracil and etoposide,and on ovarian tumors(OT)in comparison with the drug dekocin and identification of the effect of Dekoglitz on NA synthesis and internucleosomal DNA ***:The study of preparations was carried out on 68 outbred rats with transplanted C-45 and OT *** alkylating effect of the drugs was studied on cells tumor of sarcoma ***:The antitumor activity of dekoglitz on sarcoma 45 was high,about 98/96%,with a remission rate of 80%.Its effect was 28-24%higher than that of *** OT,the effect of decoglitz with intraperitoneal administration reached 89/76%with a remission rate of 40%,with oral administration 96/86%with a remission rate of 60%.Conclusion:The study of the new drug Dekoglitz on animals with a tumor of sarcoma 45 revealed its higher activity(by 20-27%)in comparison with the original Dekocin,5-fluorouracil and etoposide with a lower level of side *** OT,the effect of Dekoglitz was 35-40%higher,especially after oral ***,the great ability to suppress the synthesis of NA and carry out internucleosomal degradation and fragmentation of tumor DNA by the new drugs dekoglitz explains its antitumor efficacy,which is greater than that of Dekocin(K-18)in experiments on tumors.

Day-ahead seasonal solar radiation prediction,combining VMD and sTACK algorithms

This article proposes a method for accurately predicting solar irradiance over a 24-hour horizon to forecast photovoltaic energy generation in a positive-energy *** order to make this prediction,the input data are divided into seasons and preprocessed using the variational mode decomposition(seasonal-VMD)*** VMD method is used for extracting high-bandwidth features from the input data,decomposing them into a finite number of smooth modes and focusing on specific frequency ***,the accuracy of signal extraction using the VMD method can be improved by selecting particular parameters judiciously,which impacts the smoothing and frequency concentration of the extracted *** this regard,the salp swarm algorithm(ssA)is employed to identify the optimal VMD parameters that can be used to enhance extraction *** addition,the obtained residual between the observed solar irradiation data and their decomposed modes is treated to enhance the prediction process.A stacking algorithm(sTACK)is used to predict the following 24-hour solar irradiance modes and the residual,which are finally summed to reconstruct the desired *** performances of the proposed prediction method are evaluated using two quantitative evaluation indices:the normalized root mean square percentage error(NRMsPE)and normalized mean absolute percentage error(NMAPE).The proposed model is trained on data collected for three years in Rabat(2019–22).The performance of the proposed model is evaluated by predicting the 24-hour solar irradiance for a different *** proposed approach seasonal-VMD-sTACK is compared with two other methods in the case of using VMD-based sTACK without season partition and sTACK method ***,the proposed method has exhibited stability and proven good results with an NRMsPE of 3.87%and an NMAPE of 1.58%for cloudy days during the test *** results demonstrate that residual preprocessing,seasonal input data partition and appropriate selec

The demand for alternative low-grade iron ores is on the rise due to the rapid depletion of high-grade natural iron ore resources and the increased need for steel usage in daily ***,the use of low-grade iron ores is a constant clinical task for industry *** smelting of low-grade ores consumes a substantial amount of energy due to the large volume of slag *** condition can be avoided by direct reduction followed by magnetic separation(to separate the high amount of gangue or refractory and metal parts)and *** overburden(COB)is a mine waste generated in chromite ore processing,and it mainly consists of iron,chromium,and nickel(sent work,the isothermal and non-isothermal kinetics of the solid-state reduction of self-reduced pellets prepared using low-grade iron ore(COB)were thoroughly investigated via thermal *** results showed that the reduction of pellets followed a firstorder autocatalytic reaction control mechanism in the temperature range of 900-1100℃.The autocatalytic nature of the reduction reaction was due to the presence of nickel in the *** apparent activation energy obtained from the kinetics results showed that the solid-state reactions between COB and carbon were the rate-determining step in iron oxide reduction.

CNN-based segmentation frameworks for structural component and earthquake damage determinations using UAV images

Buildings undergo various kinds of structural damage during earthquakes,and damage detection and functional assessment of these structures in the aftermath of the events have been challenging *** these circumstances,computer vision techniques offer a promising solution by automating the inspection *** study presents an effective methodology for automatic structural components and damage detection using unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV)images of damaged *** types of neural network architectures are considered for appropriate feature extractions in different task *** feature pyramid network(FPN)is employed for crack,spall,rebar,and component damage segmentation,while the UNet++network is utilized for the damage *** network training and validation,a total of 3805 original images of size 1920×1080 pixels are processed by the proposed method and reduced the image *** the FPN,the achieved highest intersection over unions(IoUs)were 0.59,0.93,0.42,and 0.99 for crack,spall,rebar,and components,*** predicted labels were found in close agreement with the ***,the UNet++recognized the semantic information and damage state with an IoU of *** demonstrated the applicability of the proposed method for automated post-earthquake building inspection process accurately without information loss from the original images.

Functional trait profiles and diversity of trees regenerating in disturbed tropical forests and agroforests in Indonesia

A main question in restoration of degraded forests and forest landscapes recovering from logging and fire is what to expect from natural regeneration through surviving propagules in the soil or seed sources and associated dispersal agents from the surrounding landscape mosaic,as alternative to tree *** diversity in secondary forests may be high,but based on newcomer species of low wood density and long-distance,abiotic dispersal *** compiled and analyzed three pairs of case studies(totaling 815 plots and 11.8 ha)of secondary forests recovering from logging,fire and conversion to agroforest in sumatra and Kalimantan(Indonesia)on mineral *** on tree species diversity,wood density frequency distribution(indicative of successional status)and dispersal modes were compared with those of less disturbed comparator forests in the same *** undisturbed lowland dipterocarp forest in Kalimantan had close to 200 species of trees(>10 cm diameter)at a 1-ha sample scale(and 450 at a 10-ha scale).After repeated fires a sample area of 2 ha was needed to reach the same species ***-based logging had little impact on tree species *** rubber agroforest with low-intensity management beyond rubber planting,50 tree species were found at a 1-ha scale and close to 100 species in 3 *** Kalimantan forest after repeated fires had a markedly higher fraction of lowwood-density trees(40%),but otherwise,all forests sampled were similar in overall wood density *** logged forest managed by a local community(village forest)and rubber agroforest in sumatra contained larger fractions of heavy-wood-density *** majority of trees(50%–70%)had birds,bats and primates as dispersal agents in all *** logged forests had higher fractions of autochorous species(15%)compared to other ***(wind-dispersed)species,especially Macaranga lowii,were most common(20%)in lowland dipterocarp *** be

Lyapunov function and global st ability for a two-strain sEIR model with bilinear and non-monotone incidence

In this paper,we study a multi-strain sEIR epidemic model with both bilinear and nonmonotone incidence *** biologically motivated assumptions,we show that the model has two basic reproduction numbers that we noted R0,1 and R0,2;and four equilibrium *** the Lyapunov method,we prove that if R0,1 and R0,2 are less than one then the disease-free equilibrium is Globally Asymptotically stable,thus the disease will be ***,if one of the two basic reproduction numbers is greater than one,then the strain that persists is that with the larger basic reproduction *** finally if both of the two basic reproduction numbers are equal or greater than one then the total endemic equilibrium is globally asymptotically stable.A numerical simulation is also presented to illustrate the influence of the psychological effect,of people to infection,on the spread of the disease in the *** simulation can be used to determine the status of different diseases in a region using the corresponding data and infectious disease parameters.

saliency-based framework for facial expression recognition

This article proposes a novel framework for the recognition of six universal facial *** framework is based on three sets of features extracted from a face image:entropy,brightness,and local binary ***, saliency maps are obtained using the state-of-the-art saliency detection algorithm "frequency-tuned salient region detection".The idea is to use saliency maps to determine appropriate weights or values for the extracted features (i.e.,brightness and entropy).We have performed a visual experiment to validate the performance of the saliency detection algorithm against the human visual *** movements of 15 subjects were recorded using an eye-tracker in free-viewing conditions while they watched a collection of 54 videos selected from the Cohn-Kanade facial expression *** results of the visual experiment demonstrated that the obtained saliency maps are consistent with the data on human ***,the performance of the proposed framework is demonstrated via satisfactory classification results achieved with the Cohn-Kanade database,FG-NET FEED database, and Dartmouth database of children's faces.

Morphology and microstructure of Ag islands of aggregated atoms on oil surfaces

The morphology evolution of silver islands on silicone oil surfaces is measured and the microstructure of the islands is studied. The deposited Ag atoms diffuse and aggregate on the oil surface and then Ag islands with the width of the order of 10^2-nm form. After the samples are removed from the vacuum chamber, the immediate measurement shows that the apparent Ag coverage of the total area decays with the magnitude up to （23.0±3.8）% in few minutes. In the following two hours, the samples are kept in the ambient atmosphere and several unexpected results are detected： 1） as the topological structure of the islands evolves, the total area of each island decreases gradually and the maximum decrement measured is around 20%; 2） if an island breaks and becomes two small pieces, the total area decreases obviously; 3） however, if two small islands meet and stick together, a sudden increment of the total area is observed. These phenomena, mirroring the evolution process of the island microstructure, are resulted from both the diffusion of the atoms and the combination of the defects inside the islands.
