The innate immune pathway is receiving increasing attention in cancer *** pathway is ubiquitous across various cell types,not only in innate immune cells but also in adaptive immune cells,tumor cells,and stromal *** targeting the innate immune pathway have shown profound changes in the tumor microenvironment(TME)and improved tumor prognosis in preclinical ***,to date,the clinical success of drugs targeting the innate immune pathway remains ***,recent studies have shown that activation of the innate immune pathway can paradoxically promote tumor *** uncertainty surrounding the therapeutic effectiveness of targeted drugs for the innate immune pathway is a critical issue that needs immediate *** this review,we observe that the role of the innate immune pathway demonstrates heterogeneity,linked to the tumor development stage,pathway status,and specific cell *** propose that within the TME,the innate immune pathway exhibits multidimensional *** diversity is fundamentally rooted in cellular heterogeneity and is manifested as a variety of signaling *** pro-tumor effect of innate immune pathway activation essentially reflects the suppression of classical pathways and the activation of potential pro-tumor alternative *** our understanding of the tumor's innate immune pathway network and employing appropriate targeting strategies can enhance our ability to harness the anti-tumor potential of the innate immune pathway and ultimately bridge the gap from preclinical to clinicalapplication.

Preparation of waterborne polyurethane/β-cyclodextrin composite nanosponge by ion condensation method and its application in removing of dyes from wastewater

Currently,polymer nanosponges have received extensive ***,developing new synthetic techniques for novel nanosponges remains a ***,to date,composite nanosponge adsorbents based on waterborne polyurethane(WPU)andβ-cyclodextrin(β-CD)have not been ***,a novel green method,ion condensation method,was developed in this study for the preparation of polymer nanosponge adsorbents for efficient removal of dyes from *** on the principle of charge repulsion between nanoparticles to maintain emulsion stability,waterborne polyurethane/β-cyclodextrin composite nanosponges(WPU-x,y)were prepared by coagulating the emulsions synthesized from 2,2-dimethylolpropionic acid,polypropylene glycol and hexamethylene diisocyanate as raw materials in a mixture of hydrochloric acid and anhydrous *** structure and appearance of WPU-x,y were characterized by attenuated total reflectance Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy,thermal gravimetric analyzer,scanning electron microscope and mercury intrusion *** adsorption capacity of WPU-x,y was tested by parameters such as cross-linking degree,β-CD dosage,contact time,initial dye concentration and p H *** study found that WPU-4,4.62 had the best adsorption effect on methylene blue(MB),the maximum removal rate was 93.42%,and the maximum adsorption capacity was 136.03 mg·g^(-1).Moreover,the Sips isotherm and pseudo-second-order-model were suitable for MB ***,this study provides some perspectives for the fabrication of nanosponge adsorbents.

Solid lipid nanoparticles loading adefovir dipivoxil for antiviral therapy

Herein,solid lipid nanoparticles(SLN)were proposed as a new drug delivery system for adefovir dipivoxil(ADV). The octadecylamine-fluorescein isothiocynate(ODA-FITC)was synthesized and used as a fluorescence maker to be incorporated into SLN to investigate the time-dependent cellular uptake of SLN by *** SLN of monostearin with ODA-FITC or ADV were prepared by solvent diffusion method in an aqueous *** 15 wt%drug entrapment efficiency(EE)and 3 wt% drug loading(DL)could be reached in SLN loading *** with free ADV,the inhibitory effects of ADV loaded in SLN on hepatitis B surface antigen(HBsAg),hepatitis B e antigen(HBeAg)and hepatitis B virus(HBV)DNA levels in vitro were significantly enhanced.

Combined prediction of rockburst based on multiple factors and stacking ensemble algorithm

Rockburst is a kind of common geological disaster in deep tunnel *** has the characteristics of causing great harm and occurring at random locations and *** characteristics seriously affect tunnel construction and threaten the physical and mental health and safety of ***,it is of great significance to study the tendency of rockburst in the early stage of tunnel survey,design and *** present,there is no unified method and selected parameters for rockburst *** view of the large difference of different rockburst criteria and the imbalance of rockburst database categories,this paper presents a two-step rockburst prediction method based on multiple factors and the stacking ensemble *** the influence of rock physical and mechanical parameters,tunnel face conditions and excavation disturbance,multiple rockburst criteria are predicted by integrating multiple machine learning algorithms.A combined prediction model of rockburst criteria is established,and the results of each rockburst criterion index are weighted and combined,with the weight updated using the field rockburst *** dynamic weight is combined with the cloud model to comprehensively evaluate the regional rockburst *** results from applying the model in the Grand Canyon tunnel show that the rockburst prediction method proposed in this paper has better applicability and higher accuracy than the single rockburst criterion.

Experimental study of single-translated fieldreversed configuration in KMAX

For collisional merging fleld-reversed conflgurations(FRCs),it is desired to have both FRCs tuned to be approximately the same,as well as to optimize each FRC to have high temperature and high translation speed so as to retain most of the equilibrium flux after traveling a distance to the middle plane for *** present study reports the experimental study of a single-translated FRC in the KMAX-FRC device with various diagnostics,including a triple probe,a bolometer,several magnetic probe arrays,and a novel 2 D internal magnetic probe *** to the measurements conducted in the present study,a maximum toroidal magnetic fleld equal to~1/3 of the external magnetic fleld inside the FRC separatrix radius is observed,and the typical parameters of a single-translated FRC near the device’s mid-plane are ne~(2–4)×10^(19)m^(-3),T_(e)~8e V,T_(i)~5 e V,r_(s)~0.2 m,l_(s)~0.6 m andφ_(()p(RR))~0.2 m *** 2 D magnetic topology measurement revealed,for the flrst time,the time evolution of the overall internal magnetic flelds of a single-translated FRC,and an optimized operation regime is given in the paper.

Short-wave infrared continuous-variable quantum key distribution over satellite-to-submarine channels

The trans-media transmission of quantum pulse is one of means of free-space transmission which can be applied in continuous-variable quantum key distribution(CVQKD)*** traditional implementations for atmospheric channels,the 1500-to-1600-nm pulse is regarded as an ideal quantum pulse ***,the underwater transmission of this pulses tends to suffer from severe attenuation,which inevitably deteriorates the security of the whole CVQKD *** this paper,we propose an alternative scheme for implementations of CVQKD over satellite-to-submarine *** estimate the parameters of the trans-media channels,involving atmosphere,sea surface and seawater and find that the shortwave infrared performs well in the above *** 450-nm pulse is used for generations of quantum signal carriers to accomplish quantum communications through atmosphere,sea surface and seawater *** simulations show that the proposed scheme can achieve the transmission distance of 600 *** addition,we demonstrate that non-Gaussian operations can further lengthen its maximal transmission distance,which contributes to the establishment of practical global quantum networks.

Hydrogenated amorphous silicon-carbon (a-SiC:H) films were deposited by plasma enhanced chemical vapor deposition (PECVD) with a fixed methane to silane ratio ([CH4]/[SiH4]) of 1.2 and a wide range of hydrogen dilution (RH=[H2]/[SiH4 + CH4]) values of 12, 22, 33, 102 and 135. The impacts of RH on the structural and optical properties of the films were investigated by using UV-VIS transmission, Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) absorption, Raman scattering and photoluminescence (PL) measur- ements. The effects of high temperature annealing on the films were also probed. It is found that with increasing hydrogen dilution, the optical band gap increases, and the PL peak blueshifts from ～1.43 to 1.62 Ev. In annealed state, the room temperature PL peak for the low RH samples disappears, while the PL peak for the high RH samples appears at ～2.08 Ev, which is attributed to nanocrystalline Si particles confined by Si-C and Si-O bonds.

Recent advances in surface-functionalised photosensitive antibacterials with synergistic effects

The alarm has been ringing over the gradually increasing drug-resistant bacteria,which calls for the development of safer antibacterial *** antibacterials are considered as a promising alternative solution due to their unique light-activated antimicrobial mechanism,which in-situ produces highly reactive oxygen species on the multiple and variable active sites for the inactivation of various ***,there are some factors,including phototoxicity,oxygen consumption and the risk of microbial contamination,greatly limit the efficiency and application of photosensitisers(PSs)in practical biomedical *** studies have explored the synergistic effects of PSs by antibiotics,photothermal agents,antibacterial nanoparticles and biofilm-disrupting ***,novel synergistic methods for improving the antibacterial ability of PSs under low-energy irradiation,hypoxia conditions and dull conditions,have been rarely reviewed ***,the authors summarised some synergistic methods and related applications of surface-functionalised photosensitive antimicrobials,which were prepared with organic antimicrobial materials,superhydrophobic surfaces,upconversion nanoparticles and energy storage structures in recent ***,the authors presented the advantages and challenges of these synergistic mechanisms,and further analysed the development trend and application prospects of the surface-functionalised photosensitive antibacterials in biomedical fields.

Numerical simulation of scattering wave imaging in a goaf

Goafs are threats to safe *** imaging effects or those of other complex geological bodies are often poor in conventional reflected wave ***,accurate detection of goafs has become an important problem,to be solved with a sense of *** on scattering theory,we used an equivalent offset method to extract Common Scattering Point gathers,in order to analyze different scattering wave characteristics between Common Scattering Point and Common Mid Point gathers and to compare stack and migration imaging *** research results show that the scattering wave imaging method is more efficient than the conventional imaging method and is therefore a more effective imaging method for detecting goafs and other complex geological *** has important implications for safe mining procedures and infrastructures.
