Esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC)is a malignant epithelial tumor,characterized by squamous cell differentiation,it is the sixth leading cause of cancer-related deaths *** increased mortality rate of ESCC patients is predominantly due to the advanced stage of the disease when discovered,coupled with higher risk of metastasis,which is an exceedingly malignant charac-teristic of cancer,frequently leading to a high mortality ***,there is currently no specific and effective marker to predict and treat metastasis in ***(miRNAs)are a class of small non-coding RNA molecules,approximately 22 nucleotides in *** are vital in modulating gene expression and serve pivotal regulatory roles in the occurrence,progression,and prognosis of ***,we have examined the literature to highlight the intimate correlations between miRNAs and ESCC metastasis,and show that ESCC metastasis is predominantly regulated or regulated by genetic and epigenetic *** review proposes a potential role for miRNAs as diagnostic and therapeutic biomarkers for metastasis in ESCC metastasis,with the ultimate aim of reducing the mortality rate among patients with ESCC.

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is the third most common cancer and a significant cause of cancer-related mortality *** to chemotherapy,especially during CRC treatment,leads to reduced effectiveness of drugs and poor patient *** noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs)have been implicated in various pathophysiological processes of tumor cells,including chemotherapy resistance,yet the roles of many lncRNAs in CRC remain *** To identify and analyze the lncRNAs involved in oxaliplatin resistance in CRC and to understand the underlying molecular mechanisms influencing this *** Gene Expression Omnibus datasets GSE423.7 and GSE3.011 were reanalyzed to identify lncRNAs and mRNAs associated with oxaliplatin *** bioinformatics tools were employed to elucidate molecular *** expression levels of lncRNAs and mRNAs were assessed via quantitative reverse transcription-polymerase chain *** assays,including MTT,wound healing,and Transwell,were conducted to investigate the functional implications of lncRNA *** between lncRNAs and trans-cription factors were examined using RIP and luciferase reporter assays,while Western blotting was used to confirm downstream ***,a xenograft mouse model was utilized to study the in vivo effects of lncRNAs on chemotherapy *** LncRNA prion protein testis specific(PRNT)was found to be upregulated in oxaliplatin-resistant CRC cell lines and negatively correlated with homeodomain interacting protein kinase 2(HIPK2)*** was demonstrated to sponge transcription factor zinc finger protein 184(ZNF184),which in turn could regulate HIPK2 *** expression of PRNT influenced CRC cell sensitivity to oxaliplatin,with overexpression leading to decreased sensitivity and decreased expression reducing *** RIP and luciferase reporter assays indicated that ZNF184 and HIPK2 are targets of *** PRNT/ZNF184

With the strengthened controls on SO2 emissions and extensive increases in motor vehicles'exhaust,aerosol pollution shifts from sulfate-rich to nitrate-rich in recent years in Xi'an,*** further gain insights into the factors on nitrate formation and efficiently mitigate air pollution,highly time-resolved observations of water-soluble inorganic ions(WSIIs)in PM_(2.5) were measured in a suburban area of Xi'an,China during *** concentration of total WSIIs is 3..8μg m-3.on average,accounting for 50.3.of PM_(2.5) *** contrast to a slight decrease in the mass fraction of SO_(4)^(2-),NO_(3.-shows a sig-nificant increase of the PM_(2.5) contribution with the aggravation of aerosol *** suggests the importance of NO_(3.-formation to haze ***,homogeneous reactions govern the formation of NO_(3.-,while alkali metals such as calcium and sodium play an additional role in retaining NO_(3.-in PM_(2.5) during clean ***,the heterogeneous hydrolysis reaction contributed more to NO_(3.-formation during the pollution periods under high relative *** investigation reveals that temperature,relative humidity,oxidant,and ammonia emissions facilitate rapid NO_(3.-*** the random forest(RF)model,NO_(3.-concentrations were successfully simulated with measured variables for the training and testing datasets(R2>0.95).Among these variables,CO,NH_(3.,and NO_(2) were found to be the main factors affecting the NO_(3.-*** with the period without vehicle re-striction,the contributions of NO_(3.-and NH4+to PM_(2.5) mass decreased by 5.3.and 3.4%in traffic re-striction periods,*** vehicle restriction leads to the decreases of precursor gases of NO_(2),SO_(2),and NH_(3. by 12.8%,5.9%,and 27.6%,*** results demonstrate collaborative emission reduction of NO_(x) and NH_(3. by vehicle restrictions,and using new energy vehicles(or electric vehicles)can effectively alleviate particul

N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)is a dynamic and reversible epigenetic *** the most prevalent internal post-transcriptional modification in eukaryotic RNA,it participates in the regulation of gene expression through various mechanisms,such as mRNA splicing,nuclear export,localization,translation efficiency,mRNA stability,and structural *** involvement of m^(6)A in the regulation of gene expression depends on the specific recognition of m^(6)A-modified RNA by reader *** the pathogenesis and treatment of liver disease,studies have found that the expression levels of key genes that promote or inhibit the development of liver disease are regulated by m^(6)A modification,in which abnormal expression of reader proteins determines the fate of these gene *** this review,we introduce m^(6)A readers,summarize the recognition and regulatory mechanisms of m^(6)A readers on mRNA,and focus on the biological functions and mechanisms of m^(6)A readers in liver cancer,viral hepatitis,non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD),hepatic fibrosis(HF),acute liver injury(ALI),and other liver *** information is expected to be of high value to researchers deciphering the links between m^(6)A readers and human liver diseases.

In recent years,water evaporation-induced electricity has attracted a great deal of attention as an emerging green and renewable energy harvesting *** abundant materials have been developed to fabricate hydrovoltaic devices,the limitations of high costs,inconvenient storage and transport,low environmental benefits,and unadaptable shape have restricted their wide ***,an electricity generator driven by water evaporation has been engineered based on natural biomass leather with inherent properties of good moisture permeability,excellent wettability,physicochemical stability,flexibility,and *** numerous nano/microchannels together with rich oxygen-bearing functional groups,the natural leather-based water evaporator,Leather_(Emblic-NPs-SA/CB),could continuously produce electricity even staying outside,achieving a maximum output voltage of∼3.V with six-series ***,the leather-based water evaporator has enormous potential for use as a flexible self-powered electronic floor and seawater demineralizer due to its sensitive pressure sensing ability as well as its excellent photothermal conversion efficiency(96.3.)and thus fast water evaporation rate(2.65 kg m^(−2)h^(−1)).This work offers a new and functional material for the construction of hydrovoltaic devices to harvest the sustained green energy from water evaporation in arbitrary ambient environments,which shows great promise in their widespread applications.

OBJECTIVE To assess the feasibility and safety of the minimalistic approach to left atrial appendage occlusion(LAAO) guided by cardiac computed tomography angiography(CCTA).METHODS Ninety consecutive patients who underwent LAAO, with or without CCTA-guided, were matched(1:2). Each step of the LAAO procedure in the computed tomography(CT) guidance group(CT group) was directed by preprocedural CT planning. In the control group, LAAO was performed using the standard method. All patients were followed up for 12 months, and device surveillance was conducted using *** A total of 90 patients were included in the analysis, with 3. patients in the CT group and 60 matched patients in the control group. All patients were successfully implanted with Watchman devices. The mean ages for the CT group and the control group were 70.0 ± 9.4 years and 68.4 ± 11.9 years(P = 0.52), respectively. The procedure duration(45.6 ± 10.7 min vs. 58.8 ± 13.0 min,P 3.8.0 m Gy vs.711.9 ± 211.2 m Gy, P = 0.002). There were no significant differences in periprocedural pericardial effusion(3.3. vs. 6.3., P = 0.8) between the two groups. The rate of postprocedural adverse events(13.3. vs. 18.3., P = 0.55) were comparable between both groups at 12 months *** CCTA is capable of detailed LAAO procedure planning. Minimalistic LAAO with preprocedural CCTA planning was feasible and safe, with shortened procedure time and acceptable increased radiation and contras consumption. For patients with contraindications to general anesthesia and/or transesophageal echocardiography, this promising method may be an alternative to conventional LAAO.
