The outbreak of Covid-19 has taken the lives of many patients so *** symptoms of COVID-19 include muscle pains,loss of taste and smell,coughs,fever,and sore throat,which can lead to severe cases of breathing difficulties,organ failure,and ***,the early detection of the virus is very ***-19 can be detected using clinical tests,making us need to know the most important symptoms/features that can enhance the decision *** this work,we propose a modified multilayer perceptron(MLP)with feature selection(MLPfS)to predict the positive COVID-19 cases based on symptoms and features from patients’electronic medical records(EMR).MLPfS model includes a layer that identifies the most informative symptoms to minimize the number of symptoms base on their relative *** the model with only the highest informative symptoms can fasten the learning process and increase *** were conducted using three different COVID-19 datasets and eight different models,including the proposed *** show that MLPfS achieves the best feature reduction across all datasets compared to all other experimented ***,it outperforms the other models in classification results as well as time.

Novel ceramics from waste material made of(x) paper ash–(80-x) cullet–20 kaolin clay(10 wt% ≤ x ≤ 30 wt%) were successfully synthesized using a conventional solid-state reaction technique. Energy-dispersive X-ray analysis confirmed the presence of Si, Ca, Al, and fe in the waste material for preparing these ceramics. The influence of the cullet content on the phase structures and the dielectric properties of these ceramics were systematically investigated. The impedance spectra were verified in the range from 1 Hz to 10 MHz at room temperature. The phase of the ceramics was found to primarily consist of wollastonite(CaSiO_3), along with minor phases of γ-dicalcium silicate(Ca_2SiO_4) and quartz(SiO_2). The sample with a cullet content of 55 wt% possessed the optimum wollastonite structure and exhibited good dielectric properties. An increase of the cullet content beyond 55 wt% resulted in a structural change from wollastonite to dicalcium silicate, a decrease in dielectric constant, and an increase in dielectric loss. All experimental results suggested that these novel ceramics from waste are applicable for electronic devices.

Electrical properties of C/Ni films are studied using four mosaic targets made of pure graphite and stripes of nickel with the surface areas of 1.78,3.21,3.92 and 4.64%.The conductivity data in the temperature range of400-500 K shows the extended state *** conductivity data in the temperature range of 150-300 K shows the multi-phonon hopping *** Berthelot-type conduction dominates in the temperature range of 50-150 *** conductivity of the films in the temperature range about 〈 50 K is described in terms of variable-range hopping *** low temperatures,the localized density of state around fermi level（f）for the film deposition with 3.92% nickel has a maximum value of about 56.2×10^（17）cm^（-3）eV^（-1） with the minimum average hopping distance of about 3.43 × 10^（-6） cm.

This study evaluates the potential of local fish waste oil as a feedstock for biodiesel via supercritical methanol transesterification(SCMT).Hexane was used as a cosolvent and the transesterification reaction was carried out in a continuous reactor under supercritical *** response surface methodology(RSM)method was applied to analyse the effect of four independent variables,including the weight ratio of methanol to fish-waste oil(W),the reaction temperature(T),the pressure(P)and the feed flow rate(f),on the yield of the biodiesel production in supercritical *** to the calculated optimal operating condition for the RSM,the values of W(22.3 weight ratio of methanol to fish waste oil),T(270°C),P(112.7 bar)and f(2.0 mL min-1)were *** the optimum conditions,the highest yield was estimated to be 94.6%(g/g).The obtained yield was found to be close to the theoretical yield(95.2%).This value suggests that the proposed strategy has a promising potential in the production of biodiesel fuel.

AIM: To assess the practice of Egyptian physicians in screening patients for hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC). METHODS: The study included 154 physicians from all over Egypt caring for patients at risk for HCC. The study was based on a questionnaire with 20 items. Each questionnaire consisted of two parts:(1) personal information regarding the physician(name, age, specialty and type of health care setting); and(2) professional experience in the care of patients at risk for HCC development(screening, knowledge about the cause and natural course of liver diseases and HCC risk). RESULTS: Sixty-eight percent of doctors with an MD degree, 48% of doctors with a master degree or a diploma and 40% of doctors with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery certificate considered the hepatitis C virus(HCV) genotype as risk factor for HCC development(P f physicians specialized in tropical medicine, internal medicine or gastroenterology and 67% of physicians in other specialties advise patients to undergo screening for HCV and hepatitis B virus infection as well as liver cirrhosis(P f doctors in University Hospitals and 69% of Ministry of Health(MOH) doctors consider HCV infection as the leading cause of HCC in Egypt(P f doctors with an MD degree, 55% of doctors with a master degree or a diploma, 56% of doctors with an MBBCH certificate, 74% of doctors in University Hospitals and 46% of MOH hospital doctors consider abdominal ultrasonography as the most important investigation in HCC screening(P five percent of physicians in tropical medicine, internal medicine or gastroenterology and 37% of physicians in other specialties recommend as HCC screening interval of 3 mo(P f doctors with an MD degree, 50% of doctors with a master degree or diploma and 60% of doctors with an MBBCH certificate follow the same ***: In Egypt, physicians spe

A series of（90–x）Li2B4O7-10Nb2O5-xNd2O3 glass samples（x=0, 5 mol.%, 10 mol.%, 15 mol.%, 20 mol.% and 25 mol.%） were synthesized using melt quenching technique. X-ray diffraction（XRD）, differential thermal analyzer（DTA）, fourier transformed infrared（fTIR）, ultraviolet-visible-near-infrared（UV-Vis-NIR） spectrometer and photoluminescence（PL） spectroscopic characterizations were made to examine the influence of Nd3＋ concentration on the physical, structural and optical properties. Various physical properties such as glasses density, molar volume, thermal stability, ion concentration, polar on radius, inter-nuclear distance, field strength, cut-off wavelength, energy band gap and Urbach energy were calculated. The samples were amorphous in nature and confirmed from XRD pattern. The fTIR spectra revealed the presence of BO3 and BO4 functional groups. UV-Vis-NIR spectra exhibited nine prominent bands centered at 353, 430, 475, 524, 583, 681, 745, 803, 875 nm corresponding to the transitions from the ground state to ^4D（3/2）, ^2P（1/2）, ^2G（9/2）, ^4G（7/2）, ^4G（5/2）, ^4f（9/2）, ^4f（7/2）, ^4f（5/2）, ^4f（3/2） excited states, respectively. Moreover, the emission spectra at 355 nm excitation displayed three peaks centered at 903 nm（^4f（3/2）→^4I（9/2））, 1059 nm（^4f（3/2）→^4I（11/2）） and 1333 nm（^4f（3/2）→^4I（13/2））, respectively. fluorescence lifetime was recorded between 53.69 to 28.43 μs. It was found that varying concentration of Nd^（3＋） ions strongly affected the physical, structural and optical properties of the glass samples.

Aim: This work aimed to study the influence of two chronic health conditions, metabolic syndrome (MetS) and musculoskeletal disorders (MSDs), on the health-related quality of life (HRQoL) of Saudis. Method: The Medical Outcomes Study Short form-36 (Sf-36) health status questionnaire was used to measure the HRQoL and compare the mean scores of the questionnaire subscales and physical and mental component summaries (PCS and MCS) of 33 patients with MetS, 18 patients with MSDs, and 30 apparently healthy (AH) subjects. Regression analysis was used to measure the prediction power of the study group, age and gender of the participants in estimating the HRQoL. Results: Results showed that the mean scores of the physical subscales, the PCS, the mental subscales and MCS were arranged in descending order from AH subjects, patients with MetS, to patients with MSDs. The mean scores difference among the 3 study groups were statistically significant with the only exception for the general mental health (GMH) subscale (P = 0.404). The study group and age accounted for 41.8% of the variability of PCS while the study group accounted for 19.6% of the variability in the MCS. The resulted equation to estimate the PCS score was as follows: PCS = 113.18 - 12.85 (Group: 0 for AH, 1 for MetS, and 2 for MSDs) - 0.67 age. On the other hand the resulted equation to estimate the MCS score was as follows: MCS = 76.203 - 10.426 (Group: 0 for AH, 1 for MetS, and 2 for MSDs). Conclusion: Patients with MetS and patients with MSDs had lower HRQoL than AH subjects. All the physical and mental dimensions of HRQoL are negatively influenced with MetS and with MSDs with the only exception for the GMH subscale. The physical and mental burden of MSDs is more dominant. The study group and age can be used to predict the PCS while the study group can be used to predict the MCS.

The article describes a new method for malware classification,based on a Machine Learning(ML)model architecture specifically designed for malware detection,enabling real-time and accurate malware *** an innovative feature dimensionality reduction technique called the Interpolation-based feature Dimensionality Reduction Technique(IfDRT),the authors have significantly reduced the feature space while retaining critical information necessary for malware *** technique optimizes the model’s performance and reduces computational *** proposed method is demonstrated by applying it to the BODMAS malware dataset,which contains 57,293 malware samples and 77,142 benign samples,each with a 2381-feature *** the IfDRT method,the dataset is transformed,reducing the number of features while maintaining essential data for accurate *** evaluation results show outstanding performance,with an f1 score of 0.984 and a high accuracy of 98.5%using only two reduced *** demonstrates the method’s ability to classify malware samples accurately while minimizing processing *** method allows for improving computational efficiency by reducing the feature space,which decreases the memory and time requirements for training and *** new method’s effectiveness is confirmed by the calculations,which indicate significant improvements in malware classification accuracy and *** research results enhance existing malware detection techniques and can be applied in various cybersecurity applications,including real-timemalware detection on resource-constrained *** and scientific contribution lie in the development of the IfDRT method,which provides a robust and efficient solution for feature reduction in ML-based malware classification,paving the way for more effective and scalable cybersecurity measures.
