ATS:A Novel Time-Sharing CPU Scheduling Algorithm Based on Features Similarities

Minimizing time cost in time-shared operating systems is considered basic and essential task,and it is the most significant goal for the researchers who interested in CPU scheduling *** time,turnaround time,and number of context switches are themost time cost criteria used to compare between CPU scheduling *** scheduling algorithms are divided into non-preemptive and ***(RR)algorithm is the most famous as it is the basis for all the algorithms used in *** this paper,the authors proposed a novel CPU scheduling algorithm based on *** proposed algorithm is called Adjustable Time Slice(ATS).It reduces the time cost by taking the advantage of the low overhead of RR *** addition,ATS favors short processes allowing them to run longer time than given to long *** specific characteristics of each process are;its CPU execution time,weight,time slice,and number of context *** clusters the processes in groups depending on these *** traditionalRRassigns fixed time slice for each *** the other hand,dynamic variants of RR assign time slice for each process differs from other *** essential difference between ATS and the other methods is that it gives a set of processes a specific time based on their similarities within the same *** authors compared between ATS with five popular scheduling algorithms on nine datasets of *** datasets used in the comparison vary in their *** evaluation was measured in term of time cost and the experiments showed that the proposed algorithm reduces the time cost.

Nowadays,due to the increase in information resources,the number of parameters and complexity of feature vectors *** offermore practical solutions instead of exact solutions for the solution of this *** Emperor PenguinOptimizer(EPO)is one of the highest performing meta-heuristic algorithms of recent times that imposed the gathering behavior of emperor *** shows the superiority of its performance over a wide range of optimization problems thanks to its equal chance to each penguin and its fast convergence *** traditional EPO overcomes the optimization problems in continuous search space,many problems today shift to the binary search ***,in this study,using the power of traditional EPO,binary EPO(BEPO)is presented for the effective solution of binary-nature *** algorithm uses binary search space instead of searching solutions like conventional EPO algorithm in continuous search *** this purpose,the sigmoidal functions are preferred in determining the emperor *** addition,the boundaries of the search space remain constant by choosing binary ***’s performance is evaluated over twenty-nine benchmarking *** evaluations are made to reveal the superiority of the BEPO *** addition,the performance of the BEPO algorithm was evaluated for the binary feature selection *** experimental results reveal that the BEPO algorithm outperforms the existing binary meta-heuristic algorithms in both tasks.

Nowadays,the most challenging and important problem of computer vision is to detect human activities and recognize the same with temporal information from video *** video datasets are generated using cameras available in various devices that can be in a static or dynamic position and are referred to as untrimmed *** monitoring is a historical necessity in which commonly occurring,regular,and out-of-the-ordinary activities can be automatically identified using intelligence systems and computer vision *** a long video,human activity may be present anywhere in the *** can be a single ormultiple human activities present in such *** paper presents a deep learning-based methodology to identify the locally present human activities in the video sequences captured by a single wide-view camera in a sports *** recognition process is split into four parts:firstly,the video is divided into different set of frames,then the human body part in a sequence of frames is identified,next process is to identify the human activity using a convolutional neural network and finally the time information of the observed postures for each activity is determined with the help of a deep learning *** proposed approach has been tested on two different sports datasets including ActivityNet and *** sports activities like swimming,cricket bowling and high jump have been considered in this paper and classified with the temporal information i.e.,the start and end time for every activity present in the *** convolutional neural network and long short-term memory are used for feature extraction of temporal action recognition from video data of sports *** outcomes show that the proposed method for activity recognition in the sports domain outperforms the existing methods.

Information extraction plays a vital role in natural language processing,to extract named entities and events from unstructured *** to the exponential data growth in the agricultural sector,extracting significant information has become a challenging *** existing deep learningbased techniques have been applied in smart agriculture for crop cultivation,crop disease detection,weed removal,and yield production,still it is difficult to find the semantics between extracted information due to unswerving effects of weather,soil,pest,and fertilizer *** paper consists of two *** initial phase,which proposes a data preprocessing technique for removal of ambiguity in input corpora,and the second phase proposes a novel deep learning-based long short-term memory with rectification in Adam optimizer andmultilayer perceptron to find agricultural-based named entity recognition,events,and relations between *** proposed algorithm has been trained and tested on four input corpora i.e.,agriculture,weather,soil,and pest&*** experimental results have been compared with existing techniques and itwas observed that the proposed algorithm outperformsWeighted-SOM,LSTM+RAO,PLR-DBN,KNN,and Na飗e Bayes on standard parameters like accuracy,sensitivity,and specificity.

Phytochemical Estimation and Therapeutic Amelioration of Aesculus hippocastanum L. Seeds Ethanolic Extract in Gastric Ulcer in Rats Possibly by Inhibiting Prostaglandin Synthesis

Objective To quantify phytochemicals using liquid chromatography and mass spectroscopy(LCMS)analysis and explore the therapeutic effect of Aesculus hippocastanum L.(AH)seeds ethanolic extract against gastric ulcers in *** Preliminary phytochemical testing and LCMS analysis were performed according to standard *** treatment,the animals were divided into 7 groups including normal control,ulcer control,self-healing,AH seeds low and high doses,ranitidine and per se *** were orally administered with 10 mg/kg of indomethacin,excluding the normal control group(which received 1%carboxy methyl cellulose)and the per se group(received 200 mg/kg AH seeds extract).The test group rats were then given 2 doses of AH seeds extract(100 and 200 mg/kg,respectively),while the standard group was given ranitidine(50 mg/kg).On the 11th day,rats in all groups were sacrificed,and their stomach was isolated to calculate the ulcer index,and other parameters such as blood prostaglandin(PGE2),tissue superoxide dismutase(SOD),catalase(CAT),malonyldialdehyde(MDA),and glutathione(GSH).All isolated stomach tissues were analyzed for histopathological *** The phytochemical examination shows that the AH seeds contain alkaloids,flavonoids,saponins,phenolic components,and *** analysis confirms the presence of quercetin and *** AH seeds extract showed significant improvement in gastric mucosa conditions after indomethacin-induced gastric lesions(P<0.01).Further marked improvement in blood PGE2 and antioxidant enzymes,SOD,CAT,MDA and GSH,were observed compared with self-healing and untreated ulcer-induced groups(P<0.01).Histopathology results confirmed that AH seeds extract improved the mucosal layer and gastric epithelial membrane in treated groups compared to untreated ulcer-induced *** LCMS report confirms the presence of quercetin and rutin in AH seeds ethanolic *** therapeutic effect of AH seeds extract against indomethacin

Jack up reliability analysis:An overview

Jack up is a mobile unit used for oil and gas exploration and production in offshore fields. On demand, the unit is moved and installed in a given location and used for a period up to 12 months before being un-installed and moved to another location. Due to its mobility and re-usability, when the unit is offered for use in a given offshore location, its suitability in terms of safe operation is evaluated in accordance with the guidelines of Site Specific Assessment (SSA) of jack up. When the unit failed safety assessment criteria, the guideline recommended that it is re-assessed by increasing the complexity of the assumptions and methods used. Reliability analysis theories are one of the frameworks recommended for the safety assessment of the units. With recent developments in uncertainty and reliability analysis of structures subject to stochastic excitation, this study aims at providing a review on the past developments in jack up reliability analysis and to identify possible future directions. The results from literature reviewed shows that failure probabilities vary significantly with analysis method used. In addition, from the variants of reliability analysis approach, the method of time dependent reliability for dynamic structures subject to stochastic excitation have not been implemented on jack ups. Consequently, suggestions were made on the areas that need further examination for improvement of the efficiency in safety assessment of the units using reliability theories.

Effects of Plasticizers,Antioxidants and Burning Rate Modifiers on Aging Performance of the HTPB/HMDI Composite Solid Propellant

The effects of plasticizers,antioxidants and burning rate modifiers on the aging performance of the composite solid propellant based on hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene(HTPB)/hexamethylene diisocyanate(HMDI)were explored by apply-ing an accelerated aging program for 90 day at 70 ℃. The HTPB propellant matrix with the diisooctyl sebacate(DOS)as plasti-cizers and diisooctyl azelate(DOZ), antioxidants as N,N ′-Diphenyl-p-phenylenediamine(AO) and 2,2′-methylenebis(4-methyl-6-tert-butylphenol)(cyanox 2246)and burning rate modifiers as barium ferrite(BF),copper chromites(CC)and fer-ric oxide(FO)were varied. Results show that sample(S1)which based on DOS decreases the stress value and increases the strain value which considered to be an excellent start for aging program. Sample(S3)containing AO presents the higher resis-tance to oxidation showing the better performance that reflects on increasing the shelf life of the composite solid propellant mo-tor. Sample(S5)which based on BF enhances the ballistic performance among over the other tested two samples. The accelerat-ed aging program allowed us to estimate the motor in-service lifetime.

近年,半导体催化剂在可见光照射下光催化降解有机污染物引起了很大关注,因为这是一个有前景,环境友好,成本低廉,高效的工艺。为了更好的使用占大约43%太阳能的可见光,迫切需要可见光催化剂氧化降解有机污染物。这种具有高的氧化能力的技术已被广泛用于消除持久性污染有机物和微生物废水中。(Ag3P0)磷酸银的带隙为2.43eV,作为一种新型催化剂,它表现出非常高的对水的光氧化能力和在可见光照射下对有机染料的光降解能力。通过使用磷酸银氧化水生氧的量子产率在光照为420nm时波长差不多达到90%。因此,磷酸银在光催化性能上很有发展前景。生成电子的氧化还原反应的潜力,光诱导快速重组产生电子空穴和磷酸银的表面形貌被认为是影响光催化性能的主要因素。在本论文中,主要研究目标是了解磷酸银的表面形貌和结构性质,光催化电子的效果和开发高纯的能产生和分离电子空穴的磷酸银,以及基于磷酸银的光催化剂对环境的净化作用。为了达到这一目标,我们成功的合成并研究了基于磷酸银的两种新型的光催化复合材料。本论文主要分为三部分：第一章,我们对半导体光催化剂和光催化剂如何净化环境进行了概述。其次,我们讨论了合成和利用高效的磷酸银的细节以提供开发高效磷酸银复合材料净化环境的有用信息。除此之外,我们也讨论了合成不同结构的磷酸银的方法以及获得高效的具有光催化活性的材料的策略。第二章,为了提高磷酸银在可见光照射下的光催化反应性能,通过功能化还原氧化石墨烯和Fe3O4磁性纳米粒子复合物,我们制造了一种新型的光催化剂。RGO-Fe304-Ag3P04的合成制备是通过简单有效的静电自组装方法。产物的形貌和结构的表征是通过透射电子显微镜,扫描电子显微镜,X-射线衍射,紫外线-可见漫反射光谱,红外光谱,以及光致发光完成的。通过X-射线光谱分析我们证实了合成的纳米粒子的存在元素。RGO-Fe304-Ag3P04复合材料的光催化活性是通过在可见光下以及较短的光照时间内几乎完全降解罗丹明B来评估的。该材料具有优良的可循环性,在光催化过程中有高效的电子-空穴分离。第三章,制备了一种新型的Fe3O-Ag3PO4@AgI光催化剂,该催化剂能在可见光照射下诱导光降解甲基橙。该纳米粒子通过简单有效的原位离子交换方法合成,并通过扫描电子显微镜,X-射线衍射,紫外线-可见漫反射光谱表征。结果证实,磁性纳米粒子和碘化银分子在没有失去其磁性和光学功能的情况下都被固定在磷酸银的表面。Fe304-Ag3P04@AgI光催化剂显示比Ag3PO4@AgI和Ag3PO4更高的活性。Ag3PO4的光催化活性是通过在可见光下以及较短的光照时间内几乎完全降解甲基橙来评估的。该材料具有优良的可循环使用性。

Pregnancy outcome of day 3versus day 5 embryo transfer: A retrospective analysis

Objective:To compare the pregnancy rate between day 3 and day 5 transfer regardless grades of embryos and number of transferred ***: Retrospective cohort, a total of seven hundred and four patients met our inclusion criteria, with 411 had day 3 embryo transfer and 293 had day 5 embryo transfer. The patients who were older than 40 years old were excluded. Embryo transfer was carried out in all patients in both transfer ***:Both clinical pregnancy rate and implantation rate did not show any statistically significant difference between the day 3 and day five transfer groups. These were 44%vs. 45% withP=0.82 and 19%vs. 19% withP=0.99 respectively. An increase of miscarriage rate with day 5 embryo transferred compare with day 3 (12.0%vs. 4.4%,P=0.01), but no significant difference was found about biochemical pregnancy rate (P=0.52).Conclusions:Transferring embryo at day 5 may not provide any additional benefit over day 3 transfers to patients. In addition, it increases the risk of miscarriage. Further studies of this issue needed for confirming our findings.
