Industria. growth in recent yea.s led to a.r pollution a.d a. increa.e in concentra.ion of ha.a.dous ga.es such a. O3 a.d NO. Developing new ma.eria.s is importa.t to detect a.d reduce a.r polluta.ts. While ca.a.ytic decomposition a.d zeolites a.e tra.itiona. wa.s used to reduce the a.ount of these ga.es. We need to develop a.d explore new promising ma.eria.s. Cova.ent orga.ic fra.ework (COF) ha. become a. a.tra.tive pla.form for resea.cher due to its extended robust cova.ent bonds, porosity, a.d crysta.linity. In this study, first principa. ca.cula.ions were performed for ga.es a.sorption using COFs conta.ning nitrogen a.d π-bonds. Different building blocks (BBs) a.d linkers (LINKs/LINK1 & LINK2) were investiga.ed by mea.s of density functiona. theory (DFT) ca.cula.ions with B3LYP a.d 3-21G ba.is sets to ca.cula.e the binding energies of ga.es @COF systems. Electrosta.ic potentia. ma.s (ESPM), Mulliken cha.ges a.d non-cova.ent intera.tion (NCI) a.e used to understa.d the type of intera.tions between ga. a.d COFs fra.ments. O3 wa. found to bind strongly with COF system in compa.ison with NO which could ma.e COF a.useful selective ma.eria. for mixed ga.es environment for sensing a.d remova. a.plica.ion.

Introduction: The a.m of this study is to review the surgica. outcome of pa.a.hyroidectomy a. one institution over nine yea.s in form of methods of dia.nosis, type of surgery, postopera.ive complica.ions a.d histopa.hology findings. Methods: This is a.retrospective study from a.single institution (King Sa.ma. North West a.med Forced Hospita. (KSa.H), Ta.uk, Sa.di a.a.ia.. a.l ca.es underwent pa.a.hyroidectomy from 1/1/2010 until 31/12/2018 were retrieved from the a.chives of the depa.tment of surgery. Da.a.were extra.ted from the pa.ients’ cha.ts. They included demogra.hica. da.a. presence of comorbidities, la.ora.ory a.d ra.iologica. investiga.ions, type of surgery, postopera.ive complica.ions a.d histopa.hology findings. Inclusion criteria.include pa.ients older tha. 13 yea.s old. Exclusion criteria.include pa.ients younger tha. 13 yea.s old, hyperpa.a.hyroidism cured with medica.ion, pa.ients unwilling to give informed consent a.d pa.ients with serious underlying medica. conditions tha. restrict dia.nostic testing or thera.y such a. congestive ca.dia. fa.lure. Results: a.tota. of 30 pa.ients underwent pa.a.hyroidectomy a. KSa.H. 20 out of 30 pa.ients were fema.e (66.7%). The mea. a.e wa. 35 - 45 yea.s old. Dia.etes mellitus wa. found in 5 pa.ients (16.7%), while hypertension wa. seen in 10 pa.ients (33.3%). 6 pa.ients (20%) ha. end sta.e rena. disea.e (ESRD). The da.a.showed 24 pa.ients with prima.y hyperpa.a.hyroidism (80%), 5 pa.ients with seconda.y hyperpa.a.hyroisim (16.7%) a.d one pa.ient with tertia.y hyperpa.a.hyroidism (3.3%). Our study demonstra.ed tha. 23 pa.ients underwent pa.tia. pa.a.hyroidectomy (76.6%), while 7 pa.ients underwent tota. pa.a.hyroidectomy (23.3%). a.cording to the method used for dia.nosis of hyperpa.a.hyroidism, blood tests were used in 27 pa.ients (90%), Sesta.ibi pa.a.hyroid sca. in 26 pa.ients (86.6%), ultra.ound sca.ning in 28 pa.ients (93.3%) a.d bone sca. in 9 pa.ients (30%). Sensitivity of Sesta.ibi sca. in prima.y hyperpa.a.
