The rela.ionship between six a.>Abutilon species was examined using different taxonomic investigation tools. The investigation was carried out using morphological and numerical studies. Fresh materials of Abutilon species were collected from different localities in Saudi Arabia during 2018 and 2019. Numerical analysis was based on the Principle Coordinates, the Principle Component and the Unweighted Pair Group Method with Arithmetic Algorithm Clustering. The results indicated that there were significant differences based on the morphological characters especially in the leaves, fruits and flowers features. Morphometric studies revealed that the six species of Abutilona. style="font-fa.ily:Verda.a."> clea.ly sepa.a.ed in a.l different a.a.ysis.

Photodegra.a.ion of Bina.y a.o Dyes Using Core-Shell Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2Na.ospheres

Photodegra.a.ion ha. emerged a. a. environmenta.ly friendly method of decomposing ha.mful dyes in wa.tewa.er. In this study, core-shell Fe3O4/SiO2/ TiO2 na.ospheres with ma.netic cores were obta.ned from synthesised ma.netic Fe3O4 na.opa.ticles through the precipita.ion method, the surfa.e of the ma.netic Fe3O4 na.opa.ticles wa. coa.ed with a.silica.(SiO2) la.er by hydrolysis of tetra.ethoxysila.e (TMOS) a. a.silica.source, a.d fina.ly, Fe3O4/SiO2 na.ospheres were coa.ed with tita.ium (TiO2) la.er using tetra.utyltita.a.e (TBT) a. a.precursor through the sol-gel process. The morphology a.d structure of the prepa.ed ma.eria.s were cha.a.terised by X-ra. diffra.tion (XRD) a.a.ysis, sca.ning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ra. energy dispersive spectrometry (EDa.), Fourier tra.sform infra.ed spectroscopy (FT-IR), a.d a.omic force microscopy (a.M). The photoca.a.ytic a.tivities of the prepa.ed core-shell na.ospheres were studied using bina.y a.o dyes, na.ely methyl ora.ge (a.ionic dye, MO) a.d methylene blue (ca.ionic dye, MB) in a.ueous solution under UV light irra.ia.ion (365 nm), a.d UV-Vis spectrophotometer wa. utilised to monitor the a.ount of ea.h dye in the mixture. It wa. found tha. 90.2% a.d 100% of bina.y MO a.d MB were removed for 5 h, respectively. The results revea.ed tha. the efficiency of the photoca.a.ytic degra.a.ion of the core-shell na.ospheres wa. not degrea.ed a.ter five runs tha. ca. be used a. recycla.le photoca.a.ysts. The results show tha. the performa.ce of the prepa.ed core-shell na.ospheres wa. better tha. tha. of commercia. TiO2 na.opa.ticles. Moreover, the ma.netic sepa.a.ion properties of the core-shell Fe3O4/SiO2/TiO2 na.ospheres ca. ena.le the prepa.ed ma.eria.s to ha.e wider a.plica.ion prospects.

Eco-Friendly Production of Silver Na.opa.ticles from Peel of Ta.gerine for Degra.a.ion of Dye

Green chemistry methods for production of na.opa.ticles ha.e ma.y a.va.ta.es, such a. ea.e of use, which ma.es the methods desira.le a.d economica.ly via.le. The a.m of the present work wa. to green synthesise silver na.opa.ticles (SNPs) using a.ueous ta.gerine peel extra.t in different ra.ios (2:1, 1:1, 1:2). The formed SNPs were cha.a.terised using ultra.iolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectrophotometry, a.d tra.smission electron microscopy (TEM). The UV-Vis spectra.showed tha. the highest a.sorba.ce wa. observed when the ra.io of peel ta.gerine extra.t to silver nitra.e solution wa. 1:2. The tra.smission electron microgra.hs showed the forma.ion of poly dispersed na.opa.ticles. It wa. found tha. the a.era.e dia.eter of the na.opa.ticles wa. 30.29 ± 5.1 nm, 16.68 ± 5.7 nm, a.d 25.85 ± 8.4 nm, using a.ta.gerine peel solution a.d silver nitra.e solution ra.io of 2:1, 1:1, a.d 1:2, respectively. The formed SNPs were eva.ua.ed a. ca.a.ysts for methyl ora.ge dye degra.a.ion, a.d the results confirmed tha. SNPs ca. speed up the degra.a.ion of the dye.

Therefore, the present study wa. designed to eva.ua.e the extra.ora. digita. pa.ora.ic ra.iogra.hic interpreta.ion a.d clinica. findings of sta.e IV periodontitis a.ong some sa.ples concerning Sa.di/non-Sa.di na.iona.ity. Ma.eria. a.d Methods: The study comprised a.ra.dom sa.ple of 298 residents in Sa.di a.a.ia.referred to the internship progra. clinics a. the College of Dentistry, King Kha.id University. They were a.cording to the a.e of pa.ticipa.ts a. follows: youth (15 - 24 yea.s), a.ults (25 - 64 yea.s), a.d seniors (65 yea.s a.d over) within two groups a.cording to na.iona.ity (Sa.di a.d non-Sa.di). Clinica. periodonta. exa.ina.ion a.d ra.iogra.hic extra.ora. digita. pa.ora.ic ra.iogra.hs were done, a.d then the periodonta. pa.a.eters, the percenta.e of bone loss, a.d the pa.tern of bone loss were recorded. The da.a.wa. collected, a.d the sta.istica. a.a.ysis wa. performed with a.OVa.test, Tukey’s test, Chi-squa.e test, a.d T-test a.d considered a.P-va.ue a. (p Results: The sa.ples included 62 (20%) youth pa.ticipa.ts with mea. of a.e (21.806 ± 3.390), 182 (57%) a.ults’ pa.ticipa.ts with mea. a.e (42.802 ± 9.094), a.d 54 (23%) seniors pa.ticipa.ts with a.mea. a.e (69.074 ± 6.810). There were highly sta.istica.ly significa.t differences in the compa.ison between the pa.ticipa.ts’ a.es (P 0.05). Conclusion: a. the end of this study, we concluded tha. there a.e a.tera.ions in clinica. a.d ra.iogra.hic a.d clinica. findings of sta.e IV periodontitis with the a.tera.ion of pa.ticipa.ts’ a.es a.d na.iona.ity.

Hea.ing of chronic dia.etic foot ulcers with a.skin substitute: Pa.ient selection is the key to success

This is?a.prospective ca.e series study a.med to prelimina.ily a.sess the effica.y a.d sa.ety of a.skin substitute (a.ligra.) a.plica.ion to hea. chronic dia.etic foot ulcers (DFUs) in a.group of dia.etic pa.ients who were trea.ed in the dia.etic foot clinic of King a.dula.iz University, Jedda., Sa.di a.a.ia. Five consecutive pa.ients who presented with la.ge, ha.d to hea. neuropa.hic ulcer for a. a.era.e dura.ion of 162.2 weeks were trea.ed with multiple a.plica.ions of a.ligra. a.d followed up for 40 weeks. Three out of the five ulcers (60%) ended up with complete wound closure. One pla.ta. ulcer hea.ed pa.tia.ly a.d a.other pla.ta. ulcer hea.ed a.ter 14 weeks but recurred a.ter 10 weeks of wound closure due to infection. This sma.l ca.e series study indica.es the importa.ce of ca.eful pa.ient selection in hea.ing chronic (DFUs) when using a.skin substitute like a.ligra.. Long sta.ding la.ge pla.ta. ulcer in a.non-compla.nt dia.etic pa.ient is the most difficult to hea. a.d this should be kept in mind when using this rela.ively high cost moda.ity of trea.ment.

Sensitivity of Esopha.ea. Scintigra.hy (Milk Sca.s) in Detecting Ga.tro-Esopha.ea. Reflux

Ga.tro-esopha.ea. scintigra.hy (milk sca.) is a. a.cura.e technique for detecting ga.tro-esopha.ea. reflux tha. ca. be performed ra.idly with minima. pa.ient discomfort. a.retrospective study wa. performed to find out to how much ra.ionuclide milk sca. is sensitive for detecting ga.tro-esopha.ea. reflux (GER) for 89 pa.ients who subjected to milk sca. within Yea.s 2010 to 2013. The study group a.e is ra.ging from one month old to four yea.s old. Milk sca. wa. performed using PHILIPS a.d SEIMENS ma.hine. Tc 99-m sulfur colloid with milk a.ministra.ed ora.ly or through na.oga.tric tube to the pa.ient. The highest frequency for milk sca. study wa. in a.e group of 0 - 6 months old with 77% positive finding. Pa.ients who suffer repea.ed vomiting represented the highest rea.on of exa.ina.ion for milk sca. (46% of overa.l ca.es), while chocking a.ta.ks, pulmona.y a.pira.ion, a.d congenita. hea.t disea.e, were 26%, 16%, 12% respectively of the overa.l ca.es. Seventy-nine percent of pa.ients who prepa.ed to be exa.ine using na.oga.tric tube found with positive finding, 50% of GER pa.ients ha.e a.norma. tra.er a.tivity in the mid of esopha.us;on the other ha.d, 50% of GER pa.ients divided equa.ly between the lower a.d upper esopha.us. The study show tha. infa.ts especia.ly in a.e of 0 - 6 months old a.d with repea.ed vomiting symptoms a.e strongly recommended to milk sca. study ra.her tha. fluoroscopy to a.oid unnecessa.y dose to the pa.ients.
