Th. Wh.le Optimization Algorith.(WOA)is a swarm intelligence metah.uristic inspired by th. bubble-net h.nting tactic of h.mpback *** spite of its popularity due to simplicity,ease of implementation,and a limited number of parameters,WOA’s search.strategy can adversely affect th. convergence and equilibrium between exploration and exploitation in complex *** address th.s limitation,we propose a new algorith. called Multi-trial Vector-based Wh.le Optimization Algorith.(MTV-WOA)th.t incorporates a Balancing Strategy-based Trial-vector Producer(BS_TVP),a Local Strategy-based Trial-vector Producer(LS_TVP),and a Global Strategy-based Trial-vector Producer(GS_TVP)to address real-world optimization problems of varied degrees of ***-WOA h.s th. potential to enh.nce exploitation and exploration,reduce th. probability of being stranded in local optima,and preserve th. equilibrium between exploration and *** th. purpose of evaluating th. proposed algorith.'s performance,it is compared to eigh. metah.uristic algorith.s utilizing CEC 2018 test ***,MTV-WOA is compared with.well-stablish.d,recent,and WOA variant *** experimental results demonstrate th.t MTV-WOA surpasses comparative algorith.s in terms of th. accuracy of th. solutions and convergence ***,we conducted th. Friedman test to assess th. gained results statistically and observed th.t MTV-WOA significantly outperforms comparative ***,we solved five engineering design problems to demonstrate th. practicality of *** results indicate th.t th. proposed MTV-WOA can efficiently address th. complexities of engineering ch.llenges and provide superior solutions th.t are superior to th.se of oth.r algorith.s.

Percutaneous Mitral Valvotomy in Ch.ldren and Adolescents: Immediate and Midterm Results

Objective: To analyze immediate and midterm results of percutaneous mitral valvotomy (PMV) in patients ≤ 18 year, a single centre experience of Soh.g university h.spital. Meth.ds: Between May 2010 and May 2012, 64 procedures of Inoue tech.ique mitral valvotomy were performed on 64 patients. Th. mean age was 15.8 ± 2.2 years;75% were females. Results: Success was obtained in 96.8% of patients. Immediate complications were severe mitral regurgitation (3.1%), cardiac tamponade (1.6%) and embolic stroke in (1.6%). Late follow-up was obtained in 93.7% of th. patients (at 6 and 24 month.). Restenosis developed in 3 patients. Most of th. patients h.d no symptoms at disch.rge but most of th.m h.d NYh. class I to II at 6 month. to 2 years follow up. No patients died. Patients wh. operated early with.MVA around 1.4 h.d best outcome. Conclusion: PMV represents a safe th.rapeutic option in young patients with.mitral valve stenosis. In th.se patients, recurrence of symptoms and restenosis occurs at an earlier stage th.n in elderly. Earlier intervention carries better outcome and decreases restenosis rate.

Impact of Post h.patitis C Ch.onic Liver Disease and h.patocellular Carcinoma on h.alth.Related Quality of Life

Background: Post h.patitis C virus ch.onic liver disease (CLD) is prevalent among th. Egyptian population with.a bad impact upon th.ir quality of life (QOL). h.patocellular carcinoma (h.C) is one of th. long term and fatal complications of CLD and it also h.s its negative impact on patient’s quality of life. Aim: To assess impact of CLD and h.C on th. quality of life of group of h.spitalized elderly patients. Meth.dology: Ninety elderly patients were divided into th.ee groups: 30 elderly with.post h.patitis C virus CLD, 30 elderly with.h.C and 30 oth.rs free of liver disease as control group (Cn), all were recruited from th. in-patient ward and th. outpatient clinic of th. Geriatric Department, Ain-Sh.ms University h.spital. After giving consent, compreh.nsive geriatric assessment was done with.assessment of th.ir quality of life by using th. Sh.rt Form-36 h.alth.survey (SF-36). Investigations including liver enzymes, serum albumin, serum bilirubin and abdominal ultrasound were done. Results: All QOL domains were th. h.gh.st among control group, followed by h.C group and th. least among CLD group. Th. differences were statistically significant in most subscales and total score [Mean of Cn = 81.9 ± 12.4, Mean of CLD = 47.5 ± 21.9, Mean of h.C = 62.3 ± 16.1;P Cn/CLD ≤ 0.001, P Cn/h.C ≤ 0.001, P CLD/h.C = 0.004]. Albumin was th. only bioch.mical marker correlated positively with.total SF score and two subscales (PF and EF) [r = 0.408;P = 0.025]. Conclusion & Recommendation: Our study sh.wed a decrease in th. QOL of Egyptian post h.patitis C virus CLD and h.C patients compared with.Egyptian population norms. Th. results sh.wed th.t CLD were more affected th.n h.C patients. Th.s h.d a particularly serious negative impact on th.ir life. Th. findings indicate a need for updated counseling and educational materials designed to provide adequate information and consistent h.alth.are service to th.s patient setting.

Efficiency of Bio-Fertilizing as One of th. Natural Alternatives to Improve th. Growth.of Kh.ya senegalensis and Swietenia mah.goni Trees and for Sustainability

A field experiment was carried out at Ismailia Research.Station, Ismailia Governorate from 2020-2022 to improve th. growth.of Kh.ya senegalensis and Swietenia mah.goni by using a combination of mineral fertilizer (NPK) and biological fertilizer (Azotobacter ch.oococcum, Bacillus megath.rium, and Bacillus circulant) as recommended dose under new sandy soils conditions. Split plot designed with.four treatments (Control, (50% Mineral fertilizer (M.) + 50% Biological fertilizer (Bio.)), 100% M. and 100% Bio.) of each.species. Vegetative growth. leaf area, tree biomass, stored carbon, basal area, tree volume, and in th. soil both.of microbial account and mineral content were determined. Th. experimental results sh.wed no significant differences between studied species among th. most studied parameters except for Kh.ya senegalensis wh.ch.gave th. h.gh.st significant difference in root biomass and below-stored carbon th.n Swietenia mah.goni. Evidently, th. h.gh.st significant growth.parameters were 100% mineral fertilizer followed by (50% M. + 50% Bio.) as compared with.control. No significant difference between 100% M. and (50% M. + 50% Bio.) of sh.ot dry biomass (15.19 and 12.02 kg, respectively) and above-stored carbon (0.28 and 0.22 Mt, respectively). Microbial account and mineral content in soil were improved after cultivation of tree species compared to before planting and control, especially with.50% mineral fertilizer and 50% bio-fertilizer treatment. In conclusion, a treatment containing 50% mineral fertilizer and 50% bio-fertilizer h.s led to th. ideal Kh.ya senegalensis and Swietenia mah.goni growth.in sandy soil for ch.aper and sustainable.

Ch.racterization and Catalytic Activity of New Metal-organic Frameworks Resulted from Self-assembly of Ph.SnCI, K[Cu（CN）2] and Nitrogen Donor Ligands

Five new metal-organic frameworks （MOFs） of th. general composition [Ph.SnCu（CN）2.L], wh.re L= pyrazine （pyz）（1）, meth.lpyrazine （mepyz）（2）, 4,4＇-bipyridine （bpy）（3）, trans-l,2-bis（4-pyridyl）eth.ne （tbpe）（4） or 1,2-bis（4-pyridyl）eth.ne （bpe）（5）, h.ve been synth.sized and ch.racterized to test th.ir potential applications as catalysts. Th. structures of th. MOFs 1--5 mainly consist of Cu（CN）2 building blocks connected by th. Ph.Sn cations and th. bipodal ligand forming polymeric networks. Th.y exh.bit strong fluorescence in th. solid state. Also, th.y are used as h.terogeneous catalysts for th. degradation of azo-dyes, metanil yellow （MY） by diluted solution of h.drogen peroxide as oxidant. Th. reaction is first order with.respect to MY dye, wh.le th. factors affecting th. rate constant of th. degradation reaction are investigated. Th. activation parameters of th. reaction h.ve been estimated and a possible mech.nism h.s been proposed.
