Knowledge management is a critical factor for achieving a competitive advantage and creating value for the organization in the *** multicultural organization requires understanding of the behavior of knowledge sharing in multicultural project teams,because managing cultural diversity and sharing knowledge in multicultural teams is critical to project *** and managing cultural differences successfully offers many advantages to the project as well as the success of the *** the other hand,problems arising from cultural differences can cause waste of resources and delay in achieving project goals.　　This study investigated the impact of cultural differences on knowledge sharing in multicultural project *** the research questions,the impact of cultural differences factors were examined on knowledge sharing effectiveness through a mediator which is communication *** study is intended to fill the gap in the previous *** studies examined the effect of cultural differences on knowledge sharing by direct relationship or indirectly through mediators such as participation effectiveness,communication effectiveness and other mediators,but this study used the communication frequency as a mediator that links the cultural differences factors and the knowledge sharing effectiveness.　　The study found that the cultural differences factors that impact knowledge sharing through communication frequency are;power distance language and saving *** results of the study showed that reducing power distance,increasing individual's English competency and saving face positively impact communication *** study also showed that there is a positive relationship between communication frequency and social/task-related knowledge sharing *** study also showed that there is no statistical significance relationship between social-related knowledge sharing effectiveness and task-related knowledge sharing effect

Predicting soil erosion hazard in Lattakia Governorate(W Syria)

The main objective of this study is to predict soil erosion in the Lattakia Governorate(W Syria) using the Water Erosion Prediction Project model(WEPP) and to compare the result with that of the RUSLE. Field survey and data collection were carried out, and 44 soil samples were analyzed. In addition, all the necessary input files were prepared for use in the WEPP model and RUSLE. Results show that more than of 80% of the locations studied experience slight to moderate erosion(less than 5 t/ha/y), whereas the rest of the locations experience severe soil erosion hazard. Moreover, the volume of runoff estimated by the WEPP model is in the range of 51 e321 mm, and the R~2 between the simulated soil erosion and the predicted runoff reached 0.68. Interestingly, the R~2 between the WEPP model and RUSLE is 0.56, which indicates a good correlation between the two models.

BACKGROUND Time-restricted eating(TRE)is a dietary approach that limits eating to a set number of hours per *** studies on the effects of TRE intervention on cardiometabolic health have been *** in subjects and TRE interventions have led to inconsistency in ***,the impact of the duration of eating/fasting in the TRE approach has yet to be fully *** To analyze the existing literature on the effects of TRE with different eating durations on anthropometrics and cardiometabolic health markers in adults with excessive weight and obesity-related metabolic *** We reviewed a series of prominent scientific databases,including Medline,Scopus,Web of Science,Academic Search Complete,and Cochrane Library articles to identify published clinical trials on daily TRE in adults with excessive weight and obesity-related metabolic *** controlled trials were assessed for methodological rigor and risk of bias using version 2 of the Cochrane risk-of-bias tool for randomized trials(RoB-2).Outcomes of interest include body weight,waist circumference,fat mass,lean body mass,fasting glucose,insulin,HbA1c,homeostasis model assessment for insulin resistance(HOMA-IR),lipid profiles,C-reactive protein,blood pressure,and heart *** Fifteen studies were included in our systematic *** significantly reduces body weight,waist circumference,fat mass,lean body mass,blood glucose,insulin,and ***,no significant changes were observed in HbA1c,HOMA-IR,total cholesterol,low-density lipoprotein cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein cholesterol,heart rate,systolic and diastolic blood ***,subgroup analyses based on the duration of the eating window revealed significant variation in the effects of TRE intervention depending on the length of the eating *** TRE is a promising chrononutrition-based dietary approach for improving anthropometric and cardiometabolic health.H

Reducing environmental pollution is a critical goal in global environmental economics and economic *** European Union(EU)faces environmental challenges due to its development *** we present a comprehensive approach to assess the impact of carbon dioxide(CO_(2))emissions,energy consumption(EC),population structure(POP),economy(GDP),and policies on the environment within the EU using the environmental Kuznets curve(EKC).Our research reveals that between 1990 and 2019,the EU-27 experienced an increase of t1.18 million tonnes of oil equivalent(Mtoe)per year in energy consumption(p<0.05),while CO_(2)emissions decreased by 24.25 million tonnes(Mt)per year(p<0.05).The highest reduction in CO_(2)emissions occurred in Germany(7.52 Mt CO_(2)annually),and the lowest in Latvia(0.087 Mt CO_(2)annually).The empirical EKC analysis shows an inverted-U shaped relationship between GDP and CO_(2)emissions in the ***,a 1%increase in GDP results in a 0.705%increase in carbon emission,while a 1%increase in GDP2 leads to a 0.062%reduction in environmental pollution in the long run(p<0.01).These findings indicate that economic development within the EU has reached a stage where economic growth positively impacts the ***,this study provides insights into the effectiveness of environmental policies in mitigating degradation and promoting green growth in the EU 27 countries.

本研究工作提出了一种强大、高效并且可靠的Homa传输协议修改方案。我们引入了一种新颖、直接并且高效的按报文大小确定优先级的算法。首先,根据传入流量,更改未进行优先级调度的截止报文的大小范围。我们使用显式机制确定截止范围,并根据负载报文大小确定优先级。其次,我们选择了最佳比例来分配优先级,并据此更改已调度和未调度数据包的优先级数。关于Homa传输协议的修改方案是直接的,并不复杂,并且可以被认为是根据报文大小确定优先级算法的一种良好的替代方案。此外,所提出的确定优先级算法的核心思想是根据先前负载报文大小的统计信息显示地分配优先级。除了方案中修改的地方,我们的工作基于与之前Homa工作完全相同的机制。因此,我们的研究工作令人非常满意,而且性能相对较高。此外,我们的研究工作引入了充分的调研,了解报文大小映射优先级对DCN中Homa传输协议性能的影响。仿真结果表明,我们提出的方法提高了 Homa在高网络负载情况下的性能,并且令人满意。在90%的网络负载下,它将短报文的传输延迟降低到了14μs左右,并最大限度地减少了接收端下行链路侧(TOR和接收端之间)的队列长度-与Homa传输协议相比减少了 40%。此外,在相同的网络负载(90%)下,我们提出的方法可提供高达85%的带宽利用率。

Energy and Exergy Analysis of a Finned-Plate Double Pass Solar Air Heater with Different Arrangement

The present work investigated the solar collector system with triangular longitudinal fins fixed to the absorber surface at different configuration. Four models of collectors were manufactured with different absorber plates made from aluminum material. The experiments were carried out at the winter session in the climate of Iraq—Ramadi city with longitude (43.268) and latitude (33.43). The experiments have used three values from (0.027 to 0.037) kg/s. The results showed that the temperature difference increases gradually until midday and begins decreasing gradually until it becomes zero at sunset. Maximum temperatures difference has been obtained at the fourth type which is (20.6 °C), and maximum efficiency and exergetic efficiency (99.9%), (43.08%) respectively. A comparison has been made with previous works for thermal and exergetic efficiency. The comparison showed good compatibility between results; the percentage of error does not exceed 3%. The results proved that the existence of fins was a good technique for enhancing the thermal performance of double pass solar collector with a non-effective increase in pressure drop.

Pulmonary and Extra Pulmonary Tuberculosis in Qatar: A First Retrospective Population-Based Study

Background: There is limited information about extra pulmonary tuberculosis (EPTB) in Qatar. The aim of this study is to describe the demographic characteristics of patients with Tuberculosis (TB) in Qatar, and to compare the characteristics of EPTB with those of Pulmonary Tuberculosis (PTB). Patients and Methods: The study was conducted at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) in Qatar, from January 2005 to December 2008. It involves all cases of TB diagnosed in Qatar which do not include patients who are diagnosed by routine screening tests upon entry to state of Qatar. Results: 1221 cases of TB were reported;654 (53.6%) were EPTB;and 567 (46.4%) were PTB. Nine hundred fifty-one (77.9%) were males and two hundred and seventy (22.1%) were females;the mean age was 32.7 ± 811.7 years;only 6.9% (84/1221) of them were Qataris. The most frequent associated condition was diabetesmellitus (DM) (30;2.5%), and the most frequent site involved was lymph node (285 cases;43.5%). One thousand two hundred patients continued on first-line drugs while 21 patients received second line treatment. The mean duration of antituberculous therapy was 6.7 ± 1.7 months. Hepatitis was the main drug toxicity. Eight hundred and forty seven patients (69.3%) cured and eight patients (0.7%) died, whereas the remaining three hundred and sixty-six patients (30.0%) had left the country before completing therapy. The proportion of EPTB among females was higher than males, whereas diabetes mellitus was strongly associated with PTB. Conclusion: TB is still common in Qatar with predominance of EPTB. Although male predominated, the proportion of TB, EPTB among females was higher than males.

Bituminous materials play a crucial role in the construction industry, serving as essential binders in asphalt mixtures. Understanding their bonding behavior, mechanism, and characterization is imperative for enhancing pavement performance, durability, and sustainability. Despite the widespread use of bituminous materials, challenges persist in optimizing their physical, rheological, and mechanical properties, addressing aging effects,and developing eco-friendly alternatives. The modification can be made by incorporating modifiers or additives, such as anti-stripping agents, surfactants, and bonding promoters,at their optimal dosages. Technically, the cohesion and adhesion bonds could be reinforced by adding a designated percentage of additives to the asphalt binder and within the asphalt-aggregate interfaces in asphalt mixtures. Prior to improving the pavement materials for road construction, adhesion and wetting properties also need to be given crucial attention. The inter-surface characteristics and their morphological behavior significantly influence the adhesion and cohesion bonding within binder-aggregate matrices, as indicated by the good correlations in both dry and wet conditions between failure pattern and bond strength. This review highlights recent breakthroughs in bituminous material research, emphasizing innovative approaches to enhance performance, durability, and environmental compatibility, providing insights for future advancements in asphalt pavement engineering. To advance the development of robust, environmentally sensitive asphalt pavements and guarantee a sustainable and effective transportation infrastructure for years to come, cooperation between researchers, engineers, and industry stakeholders is important.
