We present the first steps of a design of the optimal parameters for a full Bragg X-Ray free electron laser(BX-FEL).aiming towards a future source of coherent X-ray radiation,operating in the strong Compton regime,we envisage the system to be the seed for an advanced light source or compact medical X-ray *** we focus on the design of the accelerator parameters: maximum gradient,optimal accelerated charge,maximum efficiency,and ‘wake coefficient',which relates to the decelerating electric field generated due to the motion of a charged-line or train of ***,we demonstrate that the maximum efficiency has optimal value and given the fluence of the materials,the maximum accelerated charge in the train is *** two results might be important in any future design.

Several studies have been conducted in the past on carbon stock measurements in the tropical forests of Indonesia. This study is the first related research conducted in the New Guinea Island. In a degraded logged-over secondary forest in Manokwari Regency （West Papua, Indonesia）, carbon stocks were measured for seven parts, i.e., above-ground biomass （AGB）, below-ground biomass （BGB）, under-storey biomass （B）, necromass of dead leaves （N~）, necromass of dead trees （Art）, litter （L） and soil （S） using appropriate equations and laboratory analysis. Total carbon stocks were measured at 642.8 tC.h~~ in the low disturbance area, 536.9 tC＇ha-~ in the moderate disturbance area and 490.4 tC＇ha ~ in the high disturbance area. Bu, N1 and N were not significant in the carbon stock and were collectively categorized as a total biomass complex. The carbon stock of litter was nearly equal to that of the total biomass complex, while the total carbon stock in the soil was eight times larger than the total biomass complex or the carbon stock of the litter. We confirmed that the average ratio of AGB and BGB to the total biomass （TB） was about 84.7% and 15.3%, respectively. Improvements were made to the equations in the low disturbance logged-over secondary forest area, applying corrections to the amounts ofbiomass of sample trees, based on representative commercial trees of category one. TB stocks before and after correction were estimated to be 84.4 and 106.7 ***-~, indicating that these corrections added significant amounts of tree biomass （26.4%） dur- ing the sampling procedure. In conclusion, the equations for tree biomass developed in this study, will be useful for evaluating total carbon stocks, especially TB stocks in logged-over secondary forests throughout the Papua region.

Research on strain anomalies and large earthquakes based on temporal and spatial crustal activities has been rapidly growing due to data availability, especially in Japan and Indonesia. However, many research works used local-scale case studies that focused on a specific earthquake characteristic using knowledgedriven techniques, such as crustal deformation analysis. In this study, a data-driven-based analysis is used to detect anomalies using displacement rates and deformation pattern features extracted from daily global navigation satellite system(GNSS) data using a machine learning algorithm. The GNSS data with188 and 1181 continuously operating reference stations from Indonesia and Japan, respectively, are used to identify the anomaly of recent major earthquakes in the last two decades. Feature displacement rates and deformation patterns are processed in several window times with 2560 experiment scenarios to produce the best detection using tree-based algorithms. Tree-based algorithms with a single estimator(decision tree), ensemble bagging(bagging, random forest and Extra Trees), and ensemble boosting(AdaBoost, gradient boosting, LGBM, and XGB) are applied in the study. The experiment test using realtime scenario GNSSdailydatareveals high F1-scores and accuracy for anomaly detection using slope windowing 365 and 730 days of 91-day displacement rates and then 7-day deformation pattern features in tree-based algorithms. The results show the potential for medium-term anomaly detection using GNSS data without the need for multiple vulnerability assessments.

Various redox-active organic molecules can serve as ideal electrode materials to realize sustainable energy storage systems. Yet, to be more appropriate for practical use, considerable architectural engineering of an ultrathick, high-loaded organic electrode with reliable electrochemical performance is of crucial importance. Here, by utilizing the synergetic effect of the non-covalent functionalization of highly conductive non-oxidized graphene flakes (NOGFs) and introduction of mechanically robust cellulose nanofiber (CNF)-intermingled structure, a very thick (≈ 1 mm), freestanding organic nanohybrid electrode which ensures the superiority in cycle stability and areal capacity is reported. The well-developed ion/electron pathways throughout the entire thickness and the enhanced kinetics of electrochemical reactions in the ultrathick 5,10-dihydro-5,10-dimethylphenazine/NOGF/CNF (DMPZ-NC) cathodes lead to the high areal energy of 9.4 mWh·cm−2 (= 864 Wh·kg−1 at 158 W·kg−1). This novel ultrathick electrode architecture provides a general platform for the development of the high-performance organic battery electrodes.

In response to phosphate(Pi) deficiency, it has been shown that micro-RNAs(miRNAs) and mRNAs are transported through the phloem for delivery to sink tissues. Growing evidence also indicates that long noncoding RNAs(lncRNAs) are critical regulators of Pi homeostasis in plants. However, whether lncRNAs are present in and move through the phloem, in response to Pi deficiency, remains to be established. Here, using cucumber as a model plant, we show that lncRNAs are enriched in the phloem translocation stream and respond,systemically, to an imposed Pi-stress. A well-known lncRNA, IPS1, the target mimic(TM) of miRNA399,accumulates to a high level in the phloem, but is not responsive to early Pi deficiency. An additional 24 miRNA TMs were also detected in the phloem translocation stream; among them miRNA171 TMs and miR166 TMs were induced in response to an imposed Pi *** studies identified 22 lncRNAs which move systemically into developing leaves and root tips. A CU-rich PTB motif was further identified in these mobile lncRNAs. Our findings revealed that lncRNAs respond to Pi deficiency, non-cell-autonomously, and may act as systemic signaling agents to coordinate early Pi deficiency signaling, at the whole-plant level.

Peatland is an important ecosystem in *** in almost every dry season,drained peatlands have been subject to detrimental *** a response,the government has explicitly prohibited the burning of land since *** clear the land of crop residues and conduct zero burning practices,one alternative method is to utilize the waste biomass to support the cultivation of earthworms(vermiculture).This study examined the quality of liquid fertilizers and compost produced from vermiculture using a completely randomized factorial design,consisting of two treatment *** first factor was worm type,with two species used in this research named Lumbricus rubellus and Eudrilus *** second factor was the type of feed provided to the worms,comprising no feed(control),vegetable waste,and crop residue waste resulting from zero burning land *** type of feed significantly affected the pH value of the liquid fertilizer produced by the vermiculture but did not significantly affect the nutrient contents(N,P,and K).The combination of the types of earthworms and types of feed significantly affected the pH value of the *** combination of worm types and feed types had a significant effect on exchangeable Ca,but not on exchangeable Mg,Na,and *** combination,green vegetable waste and Lumbricus rubellus produced the greatest effect on soil ***,for Base Saturation,the control(no food)and Eudrilus eugeniae showed the highest *** of worms and types of feed had a significant effect on the exchangeable Mg,while the other three parameters made no significant *** burning waste and Eudrilus eugeniae provide a better exchangeable Ca and *** contrast,no-feeding and Eudrilus eugeniae have a better effect on exchangeable Na and *** of worms and types of feed did not significantly affect the weight of worm colonies,but the addition of feed increased the weight of worms with the highest weight resulting from the use of zero

Diverticulitis in the young patient-Is it different?

aiM： To prospectively study the incidence and the natural history of acute diverticulitis in young patients. METHODS： A total of 207 patients hospitalized at our hospital between January 2000 to February 2005 with the diagnosis of acute diverticulitis were included. Their demographic characteristics, medical history, physical, radiographic and endoscopic findings as well as therapy were recorded. Patients were followed every 6 mo for the first year and later annually. RESULTS： The mean patients＇ age was 61 （range 27-92） years. Twenty- five patients （12%） were younger than 45 years. Acute diverticulitis was significantly more prevalent among male in the young age group as compared to the older age group （19/25, 76% vs 61/182, 33%, respectively, P = 0.0001）. Complications occurred more often in the young age group; 32% vs 13%, （P = 0.002）. During follow-up, 6 patients （28%） remained asymptomatic in the young age group as compared to 87 patients （55%） in the older age group （P = 0.024）. As a result, sigmoidectomies were performed twice as often in the young age group （38% vs 13%, P = 0.002）. CONCLUSION： Diverticulitis in young patients has a male predominance, a more aggressive course with a higher rate of complications and a higher recurrence rate. An earlier surgical approach might be considered in young patients with acute diverticulitis.

Zeolite A Synthesized from Geothermal Waste Using Conventional and Microwave Heating for the Hydrothermal Treatment

Zeolite A has been successfully synthesized from geothermal waste with natrium aluminate and natrium silicate using conventional(C-H)and microwave heating(M-H)for the hydrothermal *** products obtained for different aging times have been characterized using X-Ray Diffraction(XRD),Fourier transformation infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It is shown that with the M-H process,zeolite can be formed at relatively low temperature(100°C)in a relatively short time(40 min).The crystallization of zeolite A has been found to be generally promoted by an increase of aging and synthesis time;however,it has also been observed that relative long aging times can transform it into *** A produced through the M-H process generally displays a smaller and more homogeneous crystal size with respect to that obtained with the C-H method.
