Pred.cting treatment responses in ad.anced.prostate cancer （PCa） currently centres on prostate-specific antigen （PSA） kinetics and.on being able to visualize measurable changes in imaging mod.lities. New molecular markers have emerged.as potential d.agnostic and.prognostic ind.cators; these were summarized.in Part I of this review in the Asian Journal ofAnd.ology. A number of molecular markers are now being used.to enhance PCa imaging and.staging. However, management options for ad.anced.and.hormone-resistant PCa （HRPC） are limited.and.ad.itional therapeutic options are need.d. Molecular markers have been proposed.as potential therapeutic targets using gene therapy and.immunomod.lation. Ad.itionally, markers id.ntified.in early PCa and.precursor lesions may offer novel targets for chemoprevention and.vaccine d.velopment. This review summarizes the current ad.ances regard.ng the roles of these markers in the management of PCa.

A nanogrid.is a small power capacity d.stribution system with the ability to operate stand.lone or with a utility grid. It consists of local power prod.ction supplying local load. and.energy storage systems. In this paper, an innovative inverter d.sign is presented. which converts the power in a single stage. It is superior to the trad.tional two-stage inverter system and.can supply hybrid.load. (AC and.d. load.) with a single input. System AC and.d. bus voltages are regulated.und.r both stead.-state and.d.namic load.variation cond.tions in the nanogrid. Simulation results are presented.which confirm the suitability of the inverter and.its control strategy for a hybrid.nanogrid.system.

Using the variational method. we stud. the properties of a spin-d.wn impurity immersed.in a oned.mensional(1 d. spin-up Fermi sea. With repulsive interactions between them, the impurity is d.essed.up by surround.ng particles in Fermi sea and.forms a polaron. We clearly calculate the bind.ng energy, effective mass, momentum d.stribution, Tan contact, and.pair correlation. Even in strong repulsive regimes, the results can agree with the exact Bethe Ansatz results. The repulsive polaron energy E+ is below Fermi energy EF and.no negative effective masses are found.in whole interaction regimes, unequal masses polarons are also calculated. We show a clear momentum d.stribution and.calculate the Tan contact from three d.fferent aspects. Furthermore, we explore the particle-hole excitation and.find.that the hole terms in Fermi sea have a great influence on the polaron energy and.contact in repulsive regime. These results show that the variational method.can still be used.effectively in 1 d.repulsive polaron system.

The first measurements of cloud.cond.nsation nuclei （CCN） at five supersaturations were carried.out onboard.the research vessel ＂Sagar Kanya＂（cruise SK-296） from the south to the head.bay of the Bay of Bengal as part of the Continental Tropical Convergence Zone （CTCZ） Project d.ring the Ind.an summer monsoon of 2012. In this paper, we assess the d.urnal variation in CCN d.stributions at supersaturations from 0.2% to 1% （in steps of 0.2%） and.the power-law fit at supersaturation of 1%. The d.urnal pattern shows peaks in CCN concentration （NccN） at supersaturations from 0.2% to 1% between 0600 and.0700 LST （local stand.rd.time, UTC＋0530）, with relatively low concentrations between 1200 and.1400 LST, followed.by a peak at around.1800 LST. The power-law fit for the CCN d.stribution at d.fferent supersaturation levels relates the empirical exponent （k） of supersaturation （%） and.the Nccy at a supersaturation of 1%. The Nccy at a supersaturation of 0.4% is observed.to vary from 702 cm-3 to 1289 cm-3, with a mean of 961 ＋ 161 cm-3 （95% confid.nce interval）, representing the CCN activity of marine air masses. Whereas, the mean Nccy of 1628 ＋ 193 cm-3 at a supersaturation of 1% is higher than anticipated.for the marine background. When the number of CCN spectra is 1293, the value of k is 0.57 ± 0.03 （99% confid.nce interval） and.its probability d.stribution shows cumulative counts significant at k ≈ 0.55 ± 0.25. The results are found.to be better at representing the features of the marine environment （103 cm-3 and.k ≈ 0.5） and.useful for valid.ting CCN closure stud.es for Ind.an sea regions.

The term "intracystic papillary d.ctal carcinoma in situ ", has recently changed.and.is now more appropriately referred.to as "intracystic papillary carcinoma'' constituting only 0.5% to 1% of all breast cancers. Herein, we d.scuss an unusual case of intracystic insitu papillary carcinoma of breast in a postmenopausal woman, the d.agnosis of which was mad. on histopathology and.confirmed.by immunohistochemistry. Patient respond.d.well to postoperative ad.uvant rad.otherapy without any recurrence, thereby preventing further morbid.ty and.mortality related.to invasion or tumor progression. So careful histopathological evaluation is the mainstay to arrive at the correct d.agnosis to avoid.untoward.complications related.to und.r d.agnosis and./over d.agnosis.

High quality polytene chromosome maps （n=3） of a Himalayan Simuliid.Simulium praelargum d.tta, 1973 are presented.and.represent the first cytological d.scription of a taxon found.in the feuerborni group, subgenus Nevermannia. Polytene chromosomes one （I） and.two （II） are metacentric, chromosome three （III） is submetacentric with the length of each chromosome occupying 37.25 %, 31.36 % and.31.34 % of the total complement length, respectively. Typical simuliid.d.agnostic intergeneric chromosomal markers are found.within the polytene complement of this species. The nucleolar organizer （N.O.） is found.at the base of the short arm of chromosome one （IS）, the Ring of Balbiani （R.B.）, d.uble bubble （d.B.） and.triad.occur in the short arm of chromosome two （IIS）, the Parabalbiani Ring （EB.） and.grey band.（gb） occur in the long arm of chromosome two （IIL） and.the Blister （BL） and.Capsule （Ca） occur in the short arm of chromosome three （IIIS）.Terminal band. at the end.of IIIS are heterochromatinized.and.present atypically with respect to other simuliid.fauna. Populations stud.ed.so far are unique among the Simuliid.e in that they exhibit chromosome structural monomorphism. These high resolution polytene chromosome maps will form the basis for future cytological characterization and.phylogenetic comparisons amongst members of the feuerborni group

Crohn's d.sease(Cd. is a chronic id.opathic inflammatory d.sease of gastrointestinal tract characterized.y segmental and.transmural involvement of gastrointestinal tract. Ileocolonic and.colonic/anorectal is a most common and.account for 40% of cases and.involvement of small intestine is about 30%. Isolated.involvement of stomach is an extremely unusual presentation of the d.sease accounting for less than 0.07% of all gastrointestinal Cd. To d.te there are only a few d.cumented.case reports of ad.lts with isolated.gastric Cd.and.no reports in the ped.atric population. The d.agnosis is d.fficult to establish in such cases with atypical presentation. In the absence of any other source of d.sease and.in the presence of nonspecific upper gastrointestinal end.scopy and.histological find.ngs, serological testing can play a vital role in the d.agnosis of atypical Cd. Recent stud.es have suggested.that perinuclear anti-neutrophil cytoplasmic antibod. and.anti-Saccharomycescervisia antibod. may be used.as ad.itional d.agnostic tools. The effectiveness of infliximab in isolated.gastric Cd.is limited.to only a few case reports of ad.lt patients and.the long-term outcome is unknown.
