TiO_(2)-rich Ba-Ti-O films were prepared on Pt/Ti/SiO_(2)/Si substrate by laser chemical vapor deposition(LCVD).Their phase relationship and microstructure were *** single-phase BaTi_(2)O_(5),Ba_(4)Ti_(13)O_(3)0 and BaTi_(5)O_(11) films were prepared at Ti/Ba molar ratios m_(Ti/Ba)=1.84-1.90,2.83 and 4.49-4.55,*** high deposition rate of TiO_(2)-rich Ba-Ti-O films ranged from 54.0μm/h to 177.6μm/*** permittivity of BaTi_(2)O_(5)film(prepared at m_(Ti/Ba)=1.84 and deposition temperature T_(dep)=877 K),Ba_(4)Ti_(13)O_(3)0 film(prepared at m_(Ti/Ba)=2.83 and T_(dep)=914 K)and BaTi5O11 film(prepared at m_(Ti/Ba)=4.49 and T_(dep)=955 K)were 50,40 and 21,respectively.

Radiocesium accumulated in the soil by nuclear accidents is a major environmental *** transport process of cesium(Cs^(+))is tightly linked to the indispensable plant nutrient potassium(K^(+))as they both belong to the group I alkali metals with similar chemical *** of the transporters that had been characterized to date as Cs*transporters are directly or indirectly linked to K^(+).Using a combinatorial approach of physiology,genetics,cell biology,and root uptake assay,here we identified two ATP-binding cassette(ABC)proteins,ABCG37 and ABCG33,as facilitators of Cs^(+)influx.A gain-of-function mutant of ABCG37(abcg37-1)showed increased sensitivity to Cs^(+)-induced root growth inhibition,while the double knockout mutant of ABCG33 and ABCG37(abcg33-1abcg37-2)showed resistance,whereas the single loss-of-function mutants of ABCG33 and ABCG37 did not show any alteration in Cs^(+)*** planta short-term radioactive Cs^(+)-uptake assay along with growth and uptake assays in a heterologous system confirmed ABCG33 and ABCG37 as Cs^(+)-uptake *** response and content were unaffected in the double-mutant background and yeast cells lacking potassium-uptake carriers transformed with ABCG33 and ABCG37 failed to grow in the absence of K^(+),confirming that Cs^(+)uptake by ABCG33 and ABCG37 is independent of K^(+).Collectively,this work identified two ABC proteins as new Cs^(+)-influx carriers that act redundantly and independent of the K^(+)-uptake pathway.

Basigin is a member of the immunoglobulin superfamily and plays various important roles in biological events including spermatogenesis. To examine the basigin molecular variants during spermatogenesis and sperm maturation in the mouse, immunoprecipitated basigin samples from testis and epididymal spermatozoa were analyzed by liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry/mass spectrometry （LC-MS/MS）. The results demonstrated that basigin molecules from the testis and spermatozoa were separable into two major bands and that the differences in the molecular sizes were possibly because of an endoproteolytic cleavage. Since basigin is known to be a chaperone for the monocarboxylate transporter 1 （MCT1）, the localization of basigin, MCT1 and MCT2 was examined during postnatal testicular development. Immunohistochemical studies showed different expression patterns of MCT1 and MCT2. MCT1 was localized on the surface of spermatogonia, spermatocytes, and spermatids. In contrast, MCT2 appeared on the principal piece of spermatozoa in the testis, where basigin was also observed. In mature epididymal spermatozoa, MCT2 was located on the midpiece, where basigin co-localized with MCT2 but not with MCT1. Furthermore, MCT2 was immunoprecipitated with basigin in mouse testes and sperm. These results suggest that basigin has a functional role as a binding partner with MCT2 in testicular and epididymal spermatozoa.

The electromagnetic backscattering of a crosscut of a cruise missile coated by a thin homogeneous layer made of radar absorbent material is modeled using a finite element *** on the radar cross section and a reflection coefficient,optimization problems are formulated for evaders and interrogators leading to optimal material parameters for the coating and optimal monostatic radar operating frequencies,*** coating materials are constructed for several radar *** only dielectric permittivity gives a narrow frequency range of high absorption while also tuning magnetic permeability widens it *** the coating layers considered do not provide substantial reduction of backscattering in the entire frequency range from 0.2 to 1.6 *** experiments also demonstrate that the reflection coefficient based on a simple planar geometry can predict well the strength of radar cross section in the sector of interest with a substantially reduced computational burden.

Real-time gradation-expressible amplitude-modulationtype electroholography based on binary-weighted computer-generated hologram

In amplitude-modulation-type electroholography, the binary-weighted computer-generated hologram(BW-CGH) facilitates the gradation-expressible reconstruction of three-dimensional(3 D) objects. To realize real-time gradation-expressible electroholography, we propose an efficient and high-speed method for calculating bit planes consisting of BW-CGHs. The proposed method is implemented on a multiple graphics processing unit(GPU) cluster system comprising 13 GPUs. The proposed BW-CGH method realizes eight-gradation-expressible electroholography at approximately the same calculation speed as that of conventional electroholography based on binary computer-generated holograms. Consequently, we were able to successfully reconstruct a real-time electroholographic 3 D video comprising approximately 180,000 points expressed in eight gradations at 30 frames per second.

A broadband frequency tunable microwave reflectometer system, which has the abil- ity of fast and stable frequency sweeping operation, is applied in the large helical device （LHD） to measure the boundary of the high-temperature plasma. When the microwave is launched, with extraordinary polarization, from the low field side of the magnetic field with its frequency swept from low to high, the microwave of minimum right-hand cut-off frequency is reflected most out- side. We can then estimate the plasma boundary position by measuring the change of the reflected power from the cut-off layer.
