最近几年,不论是柯达和拍立得间15亿美元的侵权案、H2Blocker 30亿日元的专利诉讼案、英特尔和威盛间对于第二代AGP授权书与英特尔第291号专利的诉讼,或是DVD专利拥有者的外国厂商与中国台湾地区和中国大陆DVD光驱厂商间的权利金问题以及Dell与IBM间所签订的针对PC贩售专利的160亿美元权利金,都已成为科技产业新闻的头条,新闻能见度之高,让大家深刻感受到我们的确已身在知识经济的洪流中。这些无形的资产,也就形成所谓的知识经济,世界各国也纷纷发现,掌握知识经济才能力保国家竞争的优势。因此本文以日本为例,说明日本经济在过去10年虽是处于历史低点,但是日本政府却积极立法成立知识产权管理单位,协助企业发展以及管理知识产权,从中获得较大利润,跳脱以有形资产获利的时代。

Associations of Mental and Behavioral Problems among Children Exposed to Intimate Partner Violence Previously and Visits with Their Fathers Who Perpetrated the Violence

Background: Intimate partner violence has long-term and negative effects on the health of mothers and children worldwide. This study aimed to identify the mental and behavioral effects of past exposure to intimate partner violence among children and examine their associations with the children’s visits with their fathers who perpetrated the intimate partner violence. Methods: A cross-sectional study of women who had been abused by their intimate partners and had one or more children aged 4 - 18 years old was conducted from March 2015 to December 2016. Questionnaires were used to collect (1) demographic data about the mothers and children, (2) information about the children’s visits with the mother’s former partner (i.e., father), and (3) psychological data using the Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale and the Child Behavior Checklist/4 - 18. Results: The average scores and rates of internalizing, externalizing, and total problems among the children who had been exposed to intimate partner violence were: 10.8 (SD = 10.4), 26 (51.0%);9.0 (SD = 9.0), 14 (27.5%);and 26.3 (SD = 21.5), 15 (29.4%), respectively. Children’s visits with fathers who were IPV perpetrators were significantly associated with the internalizing (AOR = 12.6, β = 0.56;p β = 0.48;p Conclusion: Attention should focus on traumatized children exposed to intimate partner violence, and thorough and cautious assessments and decisions regarding visits with their fathers who are IPV perpetrators are essential to safeguard and improve their mental and behavioral health.

本文把清末至中日全面战争之前的“新妇女”话语划分为五个时期:A.“贤妻良母”时期,B.“娜拉”时期,C.“职业妇女”时期,D.“摩登女郎”时期,E.“劳动妇女”时期。努力塑造合乎建构民族国家需要的女性形象,是“新妇女”话语的方向。丁玲在走向左翼作家道路之前的早期作品专注于“摩登女郎”苦恼的表现,与“新妇女”话语的主导方向不尽一致,我将她视为“摩登女郎”的少数代言人。本文从这个视角重读了丁玲的早期作品,并探讨丁“左转”的背景。

Objective Interprofessional collaboration is considered an important strategy in overcoming the complex issues associated with healthcare outcomes.A nationwide,community-based integrated care system developed for the care of older people in individual communities in Japan requires community hospitals to deliver integrated care to coordinate efforts for creating effective environments for *** study aimed to explore the factors associated with the self-assessment score of interprofessional collaboration in community *** Cross-sectional study using the Assessment of Interprofessional Team Collaboration Scale(AITCS).Setting This study was conducted in three small community hospitals in *** All healthcare staff in the hospitals via research collaborators were asked to complete the anonymous self-administered questionnaire of the AITCS comprising questions related to individual factors(age,gender,profession),hospital to which they belonged,relationships with neighbouring facilities,job burden and job satisfaction from July to October *** association between the questionnaire items as explanatory variables and AITCS score as an objective variable was determined using univariate followed by multiple regression *** The data from 325 of 630 participants were analysed,of whom 252 were female(77.5%)and 240 were nurses(73.8%).The mean of the total AITCS score was 117.6(range 37-185),and the Visual Analogue Scale for relationships with neighbouring facilities,job satisfaction and job burden was 53.0 mm(0-100),46.1 mm(0-100)and 64.3 mm(0-100),*** univariate analyses of the association with AITCS score,explanatory variables with a significance level of<0.05 were relationships with neighbouring facilities,job satisfaction and job *** multiple regression analysis,the total AITCS score was independently associated with age,profession(nurse/non-nurse),relationships with neighbouring facilities and job satisfaction.

We report a 50-year-old woman who developed localized proximal muscle weakness, in addition to transient elevation of antibodies to GM-1 ganglioside, without multifocal conduction block. She was treated with intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIg) and steroid pulse therapy, which were effective for over 10 years. Her clinical course and laboratory tests were consistent with lower motor neuron syndrome (LMNS) with localized proximal muscle weakness. We suggest that some patients diagnosed as LMNS may remain responsive to IVIg or steroid pulse therapy for a long time.

While paralysis is widely appreciated to impact the quality-of-life after spinal cord injuries (SCIs), neuropathic chronic pain may also occur in many cases. In this study, we investigated whether human umbilical cord-derived mesenchymal stromal cells (hUCMSCs) possess the therapeutic potential to reduce neuropathic pain following SCI in rats. Spinal cord hemitransection, which was used as a rat SCI pain model, induced tactile hypersensitivity in the hind paw and hyperexcitability of wild dynamic range neurons in response to natural cutaneous stimuli. Following hemitransection, we transplanted hUCMSCs into the spinal cord. Attenuation of neuronal hyperexcitability was observed in the hUCMSC-treated group compared with that observed in the vehicle-treated group. Immunohistochemistry showed that the transplanted hUCMSCs retained the expression of gammaamino butyric acid (GABA). The results suggest that transplanted hUCMSCs ameliorate GABAergic inhibition in the spinal cord. In summary, the production of GABA plays a critical role in the plasticity of neuropathic pain after implantation of hUCMSCs.

Crystallization of Cellobiohydrolase in the Presence of Cellulose-Degraded Cellobiose: Analysis of Intermolecular Interactions and Association Dynamics

Crystallization of enzymes in presence of impurities is important for clarifying the role of enzymes in natural world. Although it is proposed that impurities inhibit nucleation of enzyme crystallization, details are unclear. In this study, crystallization of cellobiohydrolase from Aspergillus niger was investigated by dynamic and time-resolved static light scattering using cellobiose as an impurity. We aimed to clarify how cellobiose inhibits cellobiohydrolase crystallization and to crystallize cellobiohydrolase in concentrated cellobiose without using seeds. The contribution of attractive forces to total intermolecular interactions of cellobiohydrolase monomers increased with the molar ratio of cellobiose/cellobiohydrolase (R(cb/ce)). Association dynamics of cellobiohydrolase using lithium sulfate, however, showed that the initial aggregation rate decreased with an increase in R(cb/ce). Because binding sites of cellobioses to cellobiohydrolase molecules differed from those for the growth of protein crystals, the binding of cellobioses would increase the chemical potential of the cellobiohydrolase monomers, which gradually reduced supersaturation for growth as the aggregate size increased. This result was in contrast with the conventional idea that cellobiose inhibits the nucleation of cellobiohydrolase crystals. Gentle agitation of cellobiose-containing cellobiohydrolase solutions during sitting-drop vapor-diffusion growth resulted in the growth of cellobiohydrolase single crystals for all R(cb/ce) conditions without using seeds.

It is controversial whether universal screening for bacterial vaginosis (BV) should be done in the early stages of pregnancy in order to prevent preterm birth. In particular, whether the intermediate vaginal flora type should be included in the group to be treated for BV. This vaginal smear type is a mixture of Lactobacillus and Gardnerella or Bacteroides spp. We examined three vaginal flora types, excluding the mixed-type, with a Nugent Score of 4 and evaluated their significance in achieving term delivery. The subjects were pregnant women who were examined at our Hospital between June 2009 and December 2010. Their vaginal swabs were taken at their first prenatal visit and were studied by Gram staining. The resulting Nugent Score 4 organisms were further classified into the following four types: mixed-type, gram-positive cocci type, Bifidobacterium type, and non-bacterial type. The clinical courses for all the types except “mixed-type” were followed-up. Among the 566 pregnant women, 58 (10.2%) had a Nugent Score of 4. There were 38 cases of mixed-type (65.5%), 3 cases of gram-positive cocci type (5.2%), 10 cases of Bifidobacterium type (17.2%), and 7 cases of non-bacterial type (12.1%). The three women with the gram-positive cocci type attained successful term delivery despite two of them experiencing GBS infection and requiring treatment with penicillin and tocolytics. Among the 10 cases of Bifidobacterium type, 5 cases were term delivery with no therapy, 3 cases were term delivery with metronidazole treatment and 2 cases were preterm birth with maternal complications. Among the 7 cases of non-bacterial type, 6 cases were diagnosed with preterm PROM, and 5 of them resulted in preterm birth despite prophylactic antibiotic therapy. Classification of smears with a Nugent score of 4 into four bacterial morphotypes may be effective, for required treatment may vary depending on the morphotype.
