A systematic approach is proposed to the theme of safety,reliability and global quality of complex networks(material and immaterial)by means of special mathematical tools that allow an adequate geometric characterization and study of the operation,even in the presence of multiple obstacles along the *** that end,applying the theory of graphs to the problem under study and using a special mathematical model based on stochastic geometry,in this article we consider some regular lattices in which it is possible to schematize the elements of the network,with the fundamental cell with six,eight or 2(n+2)obstacles,calculating the probability of *** this way it is possible to measure the“degree of impedance”exerted by the anomalies along the network by the obstacles *** method can be extended to other regular and/or irregular geometric figures,whose union together constitutes the examined network,allowing to optimize the functioning of the complex system considered.

In this paper we analyze the problem of the assessment of the failure rate of the complex public work system and the engineering part of it (bridge, tunnel, etc.), examining the case of serious maintenance problems, such as those which occurred in the recent disaster of the "Morandi bridge". The original mathematical methodology envisaged makes it possible to optimize the safety and quality scenarios of the operation and infrastructure in question, also from an economic-management point of view, evaluating every aspect in an integrated way and for the entire period life. The scientific results obtained are of particular interest for the study of maximization of the planning protocols of "terotechnological" interventions, providing a contribution to the science of programmed maintenance for the mobility networks and for more complex parts such as bridges and tunnels.

In higher plants, NO3 can induce its own uptake and the magnitude of this induction is positively related to the external anion concentration. This phenomenon has been characterized in both herbaceous and woody plants. Here,different adaptation strategies of roots from two maize（Zea mays L., ZmAGOs） inbred lines differing in nitrogen use efficiency（NUE） and exhibiting different timing of induction were discussed by investigating NO3 ‐induced changes in their transcriptome. lo5 line（high NUE） showing the maximum rate of NO3 uptake 4 h after the provision of 200 mmol/L NO3 treatment modulated a higher number of transcripts relative to T250（low NUE） that peaked after 12 h. The two inbred lines share only 368 transcripts that are modulated by the treatment with NO3 and behaved differently when transcripts involved in anion uptake and assimilation were analyzed. T250 line responded to the NO3 induction modulating this group of Researchgenes as reported for several plant species. On the contrary,the lo5 line did not exhibit during the induction changes in this set of genes. Obtained data suggest the importance of exploring the physiological and molecular variations among different maize genotypes in response to environmental clues like NO3 provision, in order to understand mechanisms underlying NUE.

In this paper we show how it can be useful to the probability of intersections in the determination of a classification rule for raster conversions in Geographical Information System(GIS)and GRASS GIS for the Road Network Analysis(RNA).We use a geometric probabilities approach for irregular path considering these results for transportation planning *** study two particular problems with irregular tessellations,in order to have a situation more realistic respect to map GIS and considering also the maximum value of probability to narrow the range of possible probability values.

BACKGROUND Regorafenib is an oral small-molecule multikinase inhibitor approved in third or later line of treatment for patients with metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC).Regorafenib has shown significant benefits in overall survival and progression free survival in two phase III trials compared to placebo in patients with mCRC who had progressed on previous *** To identify an immune profile that might specifically correlate with the outcome in patients treated with *** Blood samples were collected from 17 patients before treatment with regorafenib and from 6 healthy *** proteins evaluated(TNF-α,TGF-β,VEGF,CCL-2,CCL-4,and CCL-5)were selected on the basis of their roles in angiogenesis and colorectal cancer *** We found that TNF-αbasal level was significantly higher in mCRC patients compared to healthy *** Responder(NR)patients showing progression of disease(n=12)had higher basal level of TGF-β,TNF-α,VEGF,CCL-2 and CCL-5 compared to Responder(R)patients(complete response CR,n=1;partial response PR,n=1;Stable Disease SD,n=3).On the contrary,plasma basal level of CCL-4 was higher in R compared to NR *** values of TGF-βand TNF-αnegatively correlated with progression free *** These results suggest a cytokine signature potentially able to discriminate between R and NR patients to treatment with regorafenib.

作者于2014和2015年在广西西南部的西大明山自治区级自然保护区研究冠斑犀鸟(Anthracoceros albirostris)的繁殖生物学特征,以直接观察法或红外相机共观察5巢犀鸟,2014年2巢,2015年3巢。研究显示,西大明山的冠斑犀鸟在每年4月下旬至5月下旬开始营巢繁殖,雌鸟进入巢洞并在雄鸟协助下自封在其内,期间与幼鸟完全依靠雄鸟喂食。雄鸟带回巢的食物中,数量上有超过80%是果实。雌鸟在封巢期间完成换羽,并和幼鸟在7月中旬至8月中旬破巢而出,封巢时间为89 d和93 d(n=2),繁殖成功率为100%(n=4),平均出巢幼鸟为(2.3±0.5)只(2或3只,n=4)。营巢树与人工林/林下作物的平均距离为87 m(0~210 m,n=3),其中,两棵生长在当地人经常使用的山路旁。营巢树种分别为南酸枣(Choerospondias axillaris)及金叶树(Chrysophyllum lanceolatum),营巢树平均胸径为73.7 cm(72.0~75.0 cm,n=3),巢洞高度为7.8 m和9.0 m(n=2)。其中两棵营巢树在2014年和2015年的繁殖季均被重复利用。研究结果显示,西大明山的冠斑犀鸟在繁殖期间能承受一定程度的人为干扰;从封巢时间来看,雏鸟成长所需的时间与南宁动物园笼养环境下差别不大,显示当地食物资源不缺,但天然林破碎化严重,高大乔木较少,营巢树洞资源的缺乏似乎是制约西大明山冠斑犀鸟种群发展的重要因素。建议保护区加强护林力量,积极探索种植速生大胸径本土树种的可行性,并同时开展人工巢箱应用的研究。

Background:To evaluate the effectiveness and safety of cabazitaxel in castration-resistant prostate cancer patients aged>80 years,we performed a retrospective study on a sample of patients from 11 Italian cancer *** and methods:Fifty-seven patients aged>80 years were treated with cabazitaxel after previous failure with docetaxel;39 completed a comprehensive geriatric assessment questionnaire(34 fit and 5 vulnerable)and 8 patients(14%)had an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status(PS)>2,while most had a PS of 0-1(86%).Cabazitaxel was administered at a dose of 25 mg/m^(2)in 30(52%)patients and 20 mg/m^(2)or adapted schedules in 27(48%)*** schedules were adopted mainly in patients>85 years(75%),with a PS>2(87.5%),and those classified as vulnerable(100%).Results:The duration of treatment was 4.8 months and was comparable in all subgroups;disease control rate was reported in 36 patients(63%);prostate-specific antigen response was recorded in 18 patients(31.5%).Median overall survival was 13.1 months regardless of age(85 years),but overall survival was reduced in vulnerable(7.2 months)and PS>2 patients(6.8 months).The most frequently documented grade 3-4 toxicities were neutropenia(14%)and diarrhea(10.5%).Six patients(10.5%)dropped out due to severe ***:Octogenarian patients can be treated with cabazitaxel with reduced doses or alternative schedules that are associated with less toxicity and fewer treatment *** geriatric assessment could facilitate more appropriate patient selection.
