Evaluation of Al and Som. of Its Alloys as Anode m.terials vs γ-m.O_2 as Cathode m.terial and Ore Produced γ-m.O_2 vs Zn Anode in KOH Solution

In this study electrochem.cal perform.nce of Al and som. of its alloys （Al-Zn, Al-rvlg and Al-rvln） anodes vs m.O2 cathode were carried out in alkaline solution. The results show that the Al-Zn alloy anode has the best cell capacity am.ng the other alloys. Cell capacity values go in the order Al-Zn〉Al-m.〉Al〉Al-m.. This result is probably related to the nature of passive film. form.d on the surface of the alloys which exam.ned by scanning electron m.croscopy （SEm.. SEm.m.rphologies of Al and its alloys showed coarse grains of passive film. form.d on the surface of these anode m.terials while Al-m. m.rphology shows a needle-like structure. Electrolytic m.nganese dioxide （Em.） produced by electrodepositing on platinum.anode from.liquor resulting from.reduction of low grade pyrolusite ore （β-m.O2） by sulfur slag was characterized as cathode in alkaline Zn-m.O2 batteries. Ore produced sam.le （Em.1） was perform.d well in com.arison with Em. standard （Em.2）（com.ercial battery grade electrolytic m.nganese dioxide, TOSOH-Hellas GH-S）. SEm.m.rphology of Zn anode after cell reaction was carried out and showed that Zn anode has fine grains of passive film.on its surface.

Im.unocytochem.cal identification and distribution of the cell types in the pituitary gland of <i>Bagrus bayad</i>(<i>Teleostei, Bagridae</i>)

Im.unocytochem.cal identification of the different cell types in the pituitary gland of Bagrus bayad was perform.d using antisera against m.m.alian (hum.n and rat) and piscine horm.nes. The adenohypophysis was com.osed of rostral pars distalis (RPD), proxim.l pars distalis (PPD) and pars interm.dia (PI). Prolactin and adrenocorticotrophic cells were located in the rostral pars distalis of the pituitary. Gonadotrophic and growth horm.ne cells were distributed in the proxim.l pars distalis, but gonadotrophic cells appear also at the border of the pars interm.dia. Som.tolactin cells, as well as alpha-m.lanotrophic cells were located in the pars interm.dia of B. bayad pitui-tary. The prolactin (PRL) cells were distributed in the RPD stained with orange G and showed strong im.unoreactivity with antiserum.to chum.salm.n. The adrenocorticotrophic (ACTH) cells were lead hem.-toxylin-positive (PbH+) and showed strong im. m.-noreactivity with anti-hum.n ACTH;these cells bor-dered the neurohypophysis and grouped in islets be-tween PRL cells in the RPD. Growth horm.ne (GH) cells were densely distributed with the gonadotrophic (GTH) cells in the PPD. They were orange G positive and reacted with antiserum.to chum.salm.n. GTH cells were located in the central area of the PPD and in the external border of the PI. These cells were Alcyan Blue and PAS positive, and im.unostained with anti-chum.salm.n GTH Iβ and anti-chum.salm.n GTH IIβ. In addition, antiserum.to rat thyrotropin stim.lating horm.ne β (TSHβ) reacted positively to the GTH cells. These results suggest that GTH I, GTH II and TSH are synthesized in the sam. cells in the pituitary of B. bayad. The PI was com.osed m.inly of PbH+ cells and a PAS+ cell adjacent to the neurohypophysis. The PAS+ cells from.the PI bound specifically to anti-chum.som.tolactin. Anti-alpha- m.lanin stim.lating horm.ne (m.H) stained only the PbH+ (alpha-m.lanotrophic) cells of the PI.

Clinical Safety and Efficacy of Platelet-Rich Plasm. in Wound Healing

Background: Platelet-rich plasm. has been extensively used in several clinical settings. However, there still a lack of conclusive evidence concerning the benefits of platelet-rich plasm. in the field of wound healing. We aim.d to evaluate the safety and the efficacy of autologous platelet-rich plasm. in acute wound healing. m.thods: This prospective study enrolled forty adult patients of both sexes and aged between 18 - 50 years. All patients in need for split-thickness skin graft were included in our study. The donor sites were random.y divided into two equal halves: the platelet-rich plasm. side, which was injected with recently activated platelet-rich plasm.;and the control side, in which the conventional m.thod of dressing was used. m.asurem.nt of the platelet count and transform.ng growth factor-B1 concentration in each platelet-rich plasm. preparation and the whole blood was done for all patients. Clinical m.nitoring of the donor sites was done every 7 days for 3 weeks, regarding pain perception, epithelialization surface area and possible side effects of the platelet-rich plasm.. Histopathological m.nitoring was done on the 7th postoperative day. Results: The platelet count was increased about 3.5 folds and transform.ng growth factor-B1 was increased 2.4 folds in the platelet-rich plasm. com.ared to the patients’ blood. The platelet-rich plasm. side had significantly lower pain scores at day 7 (4.8 ± 0.18 vs 5.9 ± 0.07) and day 14 (1.4 ± 0.11 vs 1.9 ± 0.09) postoperative (p = 0.002 and p = 0.004, respectively) and had significantly higher rate of epithelialization at day 7 (9.8 ± 0.35 cm.sup>2 vs 7.5 ± 0.32 cm.sup>2) and day 14 (38.4 ± 0.36 cm.sup>2 vs 36.9 ± 0.42 cm.sup>2) postoperative (p p = 0.039, respectively), while at day 21 postoperative, there was no significant difference between both sides. Application of AVO and Seism.c Attributes Techniques for Characterizing Pliocene Sand Reservoirs in Darfeel Field, Eastern m.diterranean, Egypt

m.diterranean Sea considered as a m.in hydrocarbon province in Egypt as a huge reservoirs have been discovered till now. Port Fouad m.rine is a gas and condensate field located in Eastern m.diterranean Sea about 30 Km.off Egyptian coast, in a water depth of about 30 m. The Concession is operated by PETROBEL on behalf of Petrosaid (Port Said Petroleum.Com.any). The field was put on production on April 1996, from.the m.ocene turbidities sands of Wakar Form.tion plus Pilocene Kafr EL Sheikh Form.tion. Darfeel field is located within Port Fouad Concession, seven wells have been drilled till now and producing from.Pliocene section (Kafr El Sheikh Form.tion). Pliocene is the m.in reservoir in Darfeel field which characterized by turbidities sand stone. The aim.of this work is to identify the distribution of turbidities sand and characterize sand reservoirs using AVO (am.litude verses offset) and seism.c attributes techniques. The workflow is starting from.conventional seism.c interpretation, m.ps (tim., depth, and am.litude), depositional environm.nts, and finally structure setting. In addition to use som. of unconventional seism.c interpretation such as seism.c attributes. AVO analysis and attributes had been applied in a tem. of differentiate between gas sand reservoirs and non-gas reservoirs. The final result aid to identify the reservoir distribution and characterization of sand reservoirs through the field. So, the use of different seism.c techniques is powerful techniques in identifying reservoir distribution.

In a beam.ouse,lim.ng plays a key role in the rem.val of hair/wool and epiderm.s,but problem. are created when waste lim.ng sludge is discharged to the *** treatm.nt of tannery wastewater is another m.jor challenge to the *** this study,therm.lly-activated biochars derived from.lim.ng sludge were studied for their effective adsorption of chrom.um.Cr)from.the tannery *** therm.lly activated biochars(B500,B550,B600,and B650)were prepared at different tem.eratures from.the lim.ng *** characteristics before and after the treatm.nt were investigated using Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy,energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy,Bru-nauer-Em.ett-Teller,and scanning electron m.croscopy *** related functional groups(C-H,O-H,C-N,and=C-O)and chrom.um.adsorption capacity were determ.ned according to the surface m.rphology,elem.nt contents(C,O,Ca,Na,Al,m.,and Si),surface area(5.8-9.2 m.(2)/g),pore size(5.22-5.53 nm.,and particle size(652-1034 nm.of the experim.ntal *** biochar originated at 600°C from.the tannery lim.ng sludge(B600)had a greater surface area with a chrom.um.adsorption capacity of 99.8%in com.arison to B500,B550,and B650 *** study developed an innovative way of utilizing lim.ng sludge waste to m.nim.ze the pollution load and wastewater treatm.nt cost in the tannery industry.
