Achieving a good recognition rate for degraded document images is difficult as degraded document images suffer from low contrast,bleedthrough,and nonuniform illumination *** the existing baseline thresholding techniques that use fixed thresholds and windows,the proposed method introduces a concept for obtaining dynamic windows according to the image content to achieve better *** enhance a low-contrast image,we proposed a new mean histogram stretching method for suppressing noisy pixels in the background and,simultaneously,increasing pixel contrast at edges or near edges,which results in an enhanced *** the enhanced image,we propose a new method for deriving adaptive local thresholds for dynamic *** dynamic window is derived by exploiting the advantage of Otsu *** assess the performance of the proposed method,we have used standard databases,namely,document image binarization contest(DIBCO),for *** comparative study on well-known existing methods indicates that the proposed method outperforms the existing methods in terms of quality and recognition rate.

There exists various neurological disorder based diseases like tumor,sleep disorder,headache,dementia and *** these,epilepsy is the most common neurological illness in humans,comparable to *** is a severe chronic neurological illness that can be discovered through analysis of the signals generated by brain neurons and brain Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI).Neurons are intricately coupled in order to communicate and generate signals from human *** to the complex nature of electroencephalogram(EEG)signals and MRI’s the epileptic seizures detection and brain related problems diagnosis becomes a challenging *** based techniques and machine learning models are continuously giving their contributions to diagnose all such diseases in a better way than the normal process of *** performancemay sometime degrade due to missing information,selection of poor classification model and unavailability of quality data that are used to train the models for better *** research work is an attempt to epileptic seizures detection by using amulti focus dataset based on EEG signals and *** key steps of this work are:feature extraction having two different streams i.e.,EEGusingwavelet transformation along with SVD-Entropy,and MRI using convolutional neural network(CNN),after extracting features fromboth streams,feature fusion is applied to generate feature vector used by support vector machine(SVM)to diagnose the epileptic *** the experimental evaluation and results comparison with the current state-of-the-art techniques,it has been concluded that the performance of the proposed scheme is better than the existing models.

This study directs the discussion of HIV disease with a novel kind of complex dynamical generalized and piecewise operator in the sense of classical and Atangana Baleanu(AB)derivatives having arbitrary *** HIV infection model has a susceptible class,a recovered class,along with a case of infection divided into three sub-different levels or categories and the recovered *** total time interval is converted into two,which are further investigated for ordinary and fractional order operators of the AB derivative,*** proposed model is tested separately for unique solutions and existence on bi *** numerical solution of the proposed model is treated by the piece-wise numerical iterative scheme of Newtons *** proposed method is established for piece-wise derivatives under natural order and non-singular Mittag-Leffler *** cross-over or bending characteristics in the dynamical system of HIV are easily examined by the aspect of this research having a memory effect for controlling the said *** study uses the neural network(NN)technique to obtain a better set of weights with low residual errors,and the epochs number is considered *** obtained figures represent the approximate solution and absolute error which are tested with NN to train the data accurately.

RoGRUT: A Hybrid Deep Learning Model for Detecting Power Trapping in Smart Grids

Electricity theft is a widespread non-technical issue that has a negative impact on both power grids and electricity *** hinders the economic growth of utility companies,poses electrical risks,and impacts the high energy costs borne by *** development of smart grids is crucial for the identification of power theft since these systems create enormous amounts of data,including information on client consumption,which may be used to identify electricity theft using machine learning and deep learning ***,there also exist different solutions such as hardware-based solutions to detect electricity theft that may require human resources and expensive ***-based solutions are presented in the literature to identify electricity theft but due to the dimensionality curse,class imbalance issue and improper hyper-parameter tuning of such models lead to poor *** this research,a hybrid deep learning model abbreviated as RoGRUT is proposed to detect electricity theft as amalicious and non-malicious *** key steps of the RoGRUT are data preprocessing that covers the problem of class imbalance,feature extraction and final theft *** advanced-level models like RoBERTa is used to address the curse of dimensionality issue,the near miss for class imbalance,and transfer learning for *** effectiveness of the RoGRUTis evaluated using the dataset fromactual smartmeters.A significant number of simulations demonstrate that,when compared to its competitors,the RoGRUT achieves the best classification *** performance evaluation of the proposed model revealed exemplary results across *** accuracy achieved was 88%,with precision at an impressive 86%and recall reaching 84%.The F1-Score,a measure of overall performance,stood at 85%.Furthermore,themodel exhibited a noteworthyMatthew correlation coefficient of 78%and excelled with an area under the curve of 91%.

This study addresses two issues about the interaction of the upper limb rehabilitation robot with individuals who have *** first step is to estimate the human's target position(also known as TPH).The second step is to develop a robust adaptive impedance control mechanism.A novel Non-singular Terminal Sliding Mode Control combined with an adaptive super-twisting controller is being developed to achieve this *** combination's purpose is to provide high reliability,continuous performance tracking of the system's *** proposed adaptive control strategy reduces matched dynamic uncertainty while also lowering chattering,which is the sliding mode's most glaring *** proposed TPH is coupled with adaptive impedance control with the use of a Radial Basis Function Neural Network,which allows a robotic exoskeleton to simply track the desired impedance *** validate the approach in real-time,an exoskeleton robot was deployed in controlled experimental circumstances.A comparison study has been set up to show how the adaptive impedance approach proposed is better than other traditional controllers.

Evaluation of the Antifibrillatory Drug Interactions between Amiodarone and Diltiazem in Isolated Perfused Rabbit Hearts

The alarming reports of the proarrhythmic effects of several antiarrhythmic agents have stimulated our interest to study the antifibrillatory drug interactions that may occur when antiarrhythmic drugs from different classes are combined. Hearts isolated from New Zealand white rabbits of either sex weighing 1.5 to 2 kg were perfused by the Langendorff method with McEwen＇s solution. We used the serial-shock method of measuring VFT （ventricular fibrillation threshold）, a method that have proved reliable in quantitatively assessing the antifibrillatory potency of many antiarrhythmic drugs we have studied during the last three decades. Perfusion with either amiodarone or diltiazem produced significant, dose-dependent increase in VFT. In addition, there was significant difference in the increase in VFT produced by the combined infusion of 1 μmol of amiodarone and 0.02 μmol of diltiazem and the summation of the increases produced by the separate infusion of these two concentrations. This synergistic antifibrillatory interactions between amiodarone and diltiazem may suggest that catuion has to be taken when amiodarone and diltiazem are combined in the treatment of cardiac arrhythmias as this may lead to a proarrhythmic effect. However, further studies are required to establish this in the clinical setup.

Qila Bala Hisar is one of the noteworthy places of Peshawar,Khyber *** fort was constructed on a flled ground during the 18th century and it was renovated several times by the occupants ever ***,due to an earthquake of magnitude 7.3,the upper part of the south-western wall of the fort *** collapse of the wall was attributed to the failure of the retained *** research was undertaken to characterize the slope material,study causal factors of failure and evaluate remedial *** investigation involved conventional field and laboratory testing and geophysical investigation using electrical resistivity technique to evaluate the nature of ***,X-ray Diffraction and Scanning Electron Microscopy was used to study the slope material at a molecular level to evaluate the existence of swelling *** analysis has shown that excessive seepage of water caused by the poor maintenance of runoff and sewage drains is the causal factor triggered by the seismic event.A remedial strategy involving soil nails,micro piles and improvement of the surface drainage is recommended.
