purpose:To describe the development of a Compendium for estimating the energy costs of activities in adults>60 years(OA Compendium).Methods:physical activities(pas)and their metabolic equivalent of task(MET)values were obtained from a systematic search of studies published in 4 sport and exercise databases(pubMed,Embase,SpORTDiscus(EBSCOhost),and Scopus)and a review of articles included in the 2011 Adult Compendium that measured pa in older *** values were computed as the oxygen cost(VO_(2),ml/kg/min)during pa divided by 2.7 m l/kg/min(MET_(60+))to account for the lower resting metabolic rate in older ***:We identified 68 articles and extracted energy expenditure data on 427 *** these,we derived 99 unique Specific Activity codes with corresponding MET_(60+)values for older *** developed a website to present the OA Compendium MET_(60+)values:https://***:The OA Compendium uses data collected from adults>60 years for more accurate estimation of the energy cost of pas in older *** is an accessible resource that will allow researchers,educators,and practitioners to find MET_(60+)values for older adults for use in pa research and practice.

Coastal zones, with their significant geodiversity, are vital areas for geotourism. Effective management is crucial to harness the geological interest of these sites as geotourism resources while ensuring their conservation. Manabíprovince is one of the most representative regions along the Ecuadorian coast due to its beaches and coastal cliffs, offering a wealth of tourist attractions and cultural elements. This study aims to evaluate the geosite potential of six cliffs in Manabíprovince through quantitative and qualitative analyses to propose geotourism promotion strategies. The methodology involves (i) inventory and characterisation of the cliffs, (ii) assessment of the sites by the Spanish Inventory of places of Geological Interest method (IElIG), and (iii) qualitative evaluation through focus group discussions and Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) analysis. The results reveal that all six sites boast diverse geological assets, including geomorphological, stratigraphic, sedimentological, and tectonic elements. They are characterised by “high ”scientific, didactic, and tourist interest, while also being sus- ceptible to degradation due to natural and anthropic threats. The SWOT analysis demonstrates that the valuable geological and geomorphological heritage of potential geosites provides an opportunity to foster geotourism and boost the province’s economy, incorporating geoconservation and geoeducation strategies. This study proposes a georoute called “Ruta Acantilados del Sol ”, a 245 km journey encompassing all six sites, incorporating diverse tourist and cultural activities. Our research lays the foundation for fostering geotourism along the Manabícoast and strengthening the connection between nature, heritage, and the welfare of residents within a global resilience plan.

We report a case of intravenous(IV) amiodarone drug induced liver injury(DIlI).The patient received IV N-acetylcysteine(NAC) which resulted in a rapid improvement in liver *** the specific mechanisms for the pathogenesis of IV amiodaroneDIlI and the therapeutic action of IV NAC are both unknown, this case strongly implies at least some *** IV amiodarone is indicated for the treatment of serious cardiac arrhythmias in an intensive care unit setting, some degree of ischemic hepatitis is likely a cofactor in most cases.

Characteristics and sources of microplastic pollution in the water and sediments of the Jinjiang River basin,Fujian province,China

Microplastic pollution is widely distributed from surface water to sediments to groundwater vertically and from land to the ocean *** study collected samples from surface water,groundwater,and sediments from upper to lower reaches and then to the estuary in 16 typical areas in the Jinjiang River basin,Fujian province,***,it determined the components and abundance of the microplastics and analyzed the possible microplastic sources through principal component analysis(pCA).As a result,seven main components of microplastics were detected,i.e.,polyethylene(pE),polypropylene(pp),polyvinyl chloride(pVC),polyethylene terephthalate(pET),polyformaldehyde(pOM),nylon 6(pa6),and polystyrene(pS).Among them,pE and pp were found to have the highest proportion in the surface water and sediments and in the groundwater,*** surface water,groundwater,and sediments had average microplastic abundance of 1.6 n/l,2.7 n/l and 33.8 n/kg,*** microplastics in the sediments had the largest particle size,while those in the groundwater had the smallest particle *** with water bodies and sediments in other areas,those in the study area generally have medium-low-level microplastic *** pollution sources were determined according to pCA,i.e.,the dominant agriculture-forestry-fishery source,domestic wastewater,and industrial *** study can provide a scientific basis for the control of microplastics in rivers.

EFFECT OF Ar pRESSURE ON STRUCTURAl AND ElECTRICAl pROpERTIES OF Cu FIlMS DEpOSITED ON GlASS BY DC MAGneTRON SpUTTERING

Cu films with thickness of 630-1300nm were deposited on glass substrates without heating by DC magnetron sputtering in pure Ar gas. Ar pressure was controlled to 0.5, 1.0 and 1.5pa respectively. The target voltage was fixed at 500V but the target current increased from 200 to 1150mA with Ar pressure increasing. X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy and atomic force microscopy were used to observe the structural characterization of the films. The resistivity of the films was measured using four-point probe technique. At all the Ar pressures, the Cu films have mixture crystalline orientations of [111], [200] and [220] in the direction of the film growth. The film deposited at lower pressure shows more [111] orientation while that deposited at higher pressure has more [220] orientation. The amount of larger grains in the film prepared at 0.5pa Ar pressure is slightly less than that prepared at 1.0pa and 1.5pa Ar pressures. The resistivities of the films prepared at three different Ar pressures represent few differences, about 3-4 times of that of bulk material. Besides the deposition rate increases with Ar pressure because of the increase in target current. The contribution of the bombardment of energetic reflected Argon atoms to these phenomena is discussed.

Crystallographic Analysis of Isothermally Transformed bainite in 0.2C-2.0Mn-1.5Si-0.6Cr Steel Using EBSD

The crystallography of bainite, transformed isothermally at 450 ℃ in 0.2C-2.0Mn-1.5Si-0.6Cr steel, was investigated by electron backscatter diffraction （EBSD） analysis. The orientation relationship （OR） was found to be closer to Nishiyama-wassermann （N-W） than Kurdjumov-sachs orientation relationship. bainite microstructure consisted of parallel laths forming a morphological packet structure. Typically, there were three different lath orientations in a morphological packet. These orientations were dictated by a three specific N-W OR variants sharing the same {111} austenite plane. A packet of bainite laths with common {111} austenite plane was termed as crystallographic packet. Generally, the crystallographic packet size corresponded to the morphological packet size. locally, crystallographic packets with only two dominant orientations were observed. This indicates strong local variant selection during isothermal bainite transformation. The relative orientation between the variants in crystallographic packets was found to be near 60°/〈110〉. This appears to explain the strong peak observed in the grain boundary misorientation distribution near 60°. bainite also contained pronounced fraction of boundaries with their misorientation in the range of 2.5°-8° with quite widely dispersed rotation angles. Spatially these boundaries were found to locate inside the bainite laths, forming lath-like sub-grains.

The identification of jets originating from quarks and gluons,often referred to as quark/gluon tagging,plays an important role in various analyses performed at the large Hadron Collider,as Standard Model measurements and searches for new particles decaying to quarks often rely on suppressing a large gluon-induced *** paper describes the measurement of the efficiencies of quark/gluon taggers developed within the ATlAS Collaboration,using √s=13 TeV proton–proton collision data with an integrated luminosity of 140 fb^(-1) collected by the ATlAS *** taggers with high performances in rejecting jets from gluon over jets from quarks are studied:one tagger is based on requirements on the number of inner-detector tracks associated with the jet,and the other combines several jet substructure observables using a boosted decision tree.A method is established to determine the quark/gluon fraction in data,by using quark/gluon-enriched subsamples defined by the jet *** in tagging efficiency between data and simulation are provided for jets with transverse momentum between 500 GeV and 2 TeV and for multiple tagger working points.
