Creeping fat and gut microbiota in Crohn’s disease

In this article,we explored the role of adipose tissue,especially mesenteric adipose tissue and creeping fat,and its association with the gut microbiota in the pathophysiology and progression of Crohn’s disease(CD).CD is a form of inflammatory bowel disease characterized by chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal tract,influenced by genetic predisposition,gut microbiota dysbiosis,and environmental *** microbiota plays a crucial role in modulating immune response and intestinal inflammation and is associated with the onset and progression of ***,visceral adipose tissue,particularly creeping fat,a mesenteric adipose tissue characterized by hypertrophy and fibrosis,has been implicated in CD pathogenesis,inflammation,and *** bacteria from the gut microbiota may translocate into mesenteric adipose tissue,contributing to the formation of creeping fat and influencing CD *** creeping fat may be a protective barrier against bacterial invasion,its expansion can damage adjacent tissues,leading to *** gut microbiota through interventions such as fecal microbiota transplantation,probiotics,and prebiotics has shown potential in managing ***,more research is needed to clarify the mechanisms linking gut dysbiosis,creeping fat,and CD progression and develop targeted therapies for microbiota modulation and fat-related complications in patients with CD.

Practices of backuping homomorphically encrypted databases

Ideal homomorphic encryption is theoretically achievable but impractical in reality due to tremendous computing overhead. Homomorphically encrypted databases, such as CryptDB, leverage replication with partially homomorphic encryption schemes to support different SQL queries over encrypted data directly. These databases reach a balance between security and efficiency, but incur considerable storage overhead, especially when making backups. Unfortunately, general data compression techniques relying on data similarity exhibit inefficiency on encrypted data. We present CryptZip, a backup and recovery system that could highly reduce the backup storage cost of encrypted databases. The key idea is to leverage the metadata information of encryption schemes and selectively backup one or several columns among semantically redundant columns. The experimental results show that CryptZip could reduce up to 90.5% backup storage cost on TPC-C benchmark.

nowadays,smart buildings rely on Internet of things(loT)technology derived from the cloud and fog computing paradigms to coordinate and collaborate between connected *** is characterized by low latency with a wider spread and geographically distributed nodes to support mobility,real-time interaction,and location-based *** provide optimum quality of user life in moderm buildings,we rely on a holistic Framework,designed in a way that decreases latency and improves energy saving and services efficiency with different *** EVent system Specification(DEVS)is a formalism used to describe simulation models in a modular *** this work,the sub-models of connected objects in the building are accurately and independently designed,and after installing them together,we easily get an integrated model which is subject to the fog computing *** results show that this new approach significantly,improves energy efficiency of buildings and reduces ***,with DEVS,we can easily add or remove sub-models to or from the overall model,allowing us to continually improve our designs.

Artificial intelligence-based predictive model of nanoscale friction using experimental data

Fresh or aged:Short time anodization of titanium to understand the influence of electrolyte aging on titania nanopores

Electrochemical anodization(EA)is a simple and cost-effective technique to fabricate controlled nanostructures on Ti substrates,such as Tio_(2)nanotubes and *** aging of organic EA electrolytes(repeated EA using non-target Ti before EA of target Ti)is recognized to influence the characteristics of the anodized ***,there is limited information about how surface topography and electrolyte aging dictate the formation and characteristics of the anodized *** the current study,short-time EA(starting at 10 s)of micro-machined Ti substrates was performed with electrolytes of various ages(fresh/unused,15 h aged and 30 h aged),followed by evaluation of the Tio_(2)nanopores(TnPs)characteristics in terms of topography,chemistry,stability and protein *** results showed that aligned TnPs were obtained earlier(120 s)with fresh electrolyte as compared to the aged electrolyte EA(600 s).Interestingly,TnPs fabricated using fresh electrolyte(at lower EA times)showed favorable wettability,protein adhesion capacity and mechanical properties compared with aged electrolyte *** findings of the study demonstrate how nanopore formation differs between fresh and aged electrolytes when performing EA of micro-machined Ti,which provides an improved understanding of electrolyte aging and its influence on anodized nanostructures.

q-Deformation of W (2 , 2) Lie Algebra Associated with Quantum Groups

The q-deformation of W（2, 2） Lie algebra is well defined based on a realization of this Lie algebra by using the famous bosonic and fermionic oscillators in physics. Furthermore, the quantum group structures on the q-deformation of W（2, 2） Lie algebra are completely determined. Finally, the 1-dimensional central extension of the q-deformed W（2, 2） Lie algebra is studied, which turns out to be coincided with the conventional W（2, 2） Lie algebra in the q → 1 limit.
