Hollow structures are commonly used to alleviate the mechanical stress on electrode materials and to provide more active sites in potassium-ion batteries(KIBs).Nevertheless,the excessive internal voids within these structures significantly reduce the packing density of particles,resulting in a relatively low volumetric energy density of the fabricated electrodes,which is undesirable for practical *** designed a hollow mesoporous carbon bowl embedded with ultrafine bis(selanylidene)iron(FeSe 2)nanocrystals(FeSe 2@HMCB)via a controllable impregnation method and subsequent selenization pro-cess for high-performance *** as-obtained FeSe 2@HMCB can inherit the advantages of conventional hollow carbon-based composites,such as alleviation of volume variation in active materials,abundant ion storage sites,and high electrical ***,the bowl structure has a higher pack-ing density than the conventional hollow structure,resulting in a significant increase in the volumet-ric energy density of the fabricated *** of these advantages,the FeSe 2@HMCB exhibits a high,stable reversible capacity of 326 mA h g^(-1) even after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A g^(-1),and excellent rate capacities(182 mA h g^(-1) at 3.0 A g^(-1)).Compared with the hollow structured counterpart,the vol-umetric capacity(mA h cm−3)of FeSe 2@HMCB increased by 60%.Furthermore,a full cell consisting of FeSe 2@HMCB//Prussian blue(PB)exhibits excellent electrochemical performance(99 mA h g^(-1) after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1)).

The larger ionic radius of potassium ions than that of lithium ions significantly limits the accomplishment of rapid diffusion kinetics in graphite electrodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs),resulting in comparatively poor rate performance and cycle ***,we report a high-rate performance and cycling stability amorphous carbon electrode achieved through nitrogen and phosphorous *** as-prepared N,P co-doped carbon electrodes have distinct 3D structures with large surface areas,hierarchical pore architectures,and increased interlayer spaces resulting from the direct pyrolysis of supramolecular self-assembled aggregates without *** obtained electrode N3P1 exhibits a reversible specific capacity of 258 m Ah·g^(-1)at a current density of 0.1A·g^(-1)and a good long-term cycle performance(96.1%capacity retention after 800 cycles at 0.5 A·g^(-1)).Kinetic investigations show that the N3P1 electrode with the welldeveloped porous structure and large number of surface defects exhibits capacitive-driven behavior at all scan rates,which may be attributed by N and P ***-situ transmission electron microscopy analyses in the fully discharged and charged states demonstrate structural stability and reversibility owing to the expanded interlayer *** suggested synthesis approach is simple and effective for producing heteroatom-doped carbon materials for PIBs and other advanced electrochemical energy storage materials.

Dear Editor,Industrial emissions have played a major role in damaging the ozone layer,leading to increased atmospheric penetration of ultraviolet B (UV-B)(290–320 nm) radiation (Jordan,2002).The recovery rate of the damaged ozone layer in the mid-latitudes and tropics has been insignificant since 1979(Chipperfield et al.,2017),even after the adoption of the Montreal Protocol (Protocol,1987),and the recovery process is expected to take many *** the meantime,UV-B radiation continues to penetrate the atmosphere (McKenzie et al.,2011;Bais et al.,2019).The characteristic short length and high energy of this radiation wavelength can directly affect major molecules,such as DNA,proteins,and lipids,which are important to living beings (Hideg et al.,2013).Rice is one of the major global crops,which is generally cultivated at lower latitudes and can potentially be exposed to a higher flux of UV radiation due to greater solar angles and longer duration of sunlight (Kataria and guruprasad,2012).

Layered-type transition metal(TM)oxides are considered as one of the most promising cathodes for K-ion batteries because of the large theoretical gravimetric capacity by low molar ***,they suffer from severe structural change by de/intercalation and diffusion of K^(+)ions with large ionic size,which results in not only much lower reversible capacity than the theoretical capacity but also poor power ***,it is important to enhance the structural stability of the layered-type TM oxides for outstanding electrochemical behaviors under the K-ion battery ***,it is investigated that the substitution of the appropriate Ti^(4+)contents enables a highly enlarged reversible capacity of P3-type KxCrO_(2) using combined studies of first-principles calculation and various *** the pristine P3-type KxCrO_(2) just exhibits the reversible capacity of∼120 mAh g^(−1) in the voltage range of 1.5-4.0 V(vs.K^(+)/K),the∼0.61 mol K^(+)corresponding to∼150 mAh g^(−1) can be reversible de/intercalated at the structure of P3-type K0.71[Cr_(0.75)Ti_(0.25)]O_(2) under the same ***,even at the high current density of 788 mA g^(−1),the specific capacity of P3-type K0.71[Cr_(0.75)Ti_(0.25)]O_(2) is∼120 mAh g^(−1),which is∼81 times larger than that of the pristine P3-type KxCrO_(2).It is believed that this research can provide an effective strategy to improve the electrochemical performances of the cathode materials suffered by severe structural change that occurred during charge/discharge under not only K-ion battery system but also other rechargeable battery systems.

Security vulnerability of denial of service (DoS) in time out-medium access control (T-MAC) protocol was discussed and analysis of power consumption at each stage of T-MAC protocol was carried out. For power efficient authentication scheme which can provide reliability, efficiency, and security for a general T-MAC communication, a novel synchronization and authentication scheme using authentication masking code was proposed. Authentication data were repeated and masked by PN sequence. The simulation results show that the proposed approach can provide synchronization and authentication simultaneously for nodes in wireless sensor network (WSN). 63 bits AMC code gives above 99.97% synchronization detection and 93.98% authentication data detection probability in BER 0.031 7.

The aim of this study was to determine whether the neutrophil-to-lymphocyte ratio （NLR）, a measure of the systemic inflammatory response is associated with the overall prostate cancer detection rate in men who underwent contemporary multi （〉12）-core transrectal ultrasound （TRUS） biopsy. We reviewed the records of 3913 patients with initial prostate-specific antigen （Psa） levels ranging from 4 to 10 ng ml^-1 who underwent TRUS-guided prostate biopsy between April 2006 and May 2014. NLR was calculated by prebiopsy neutrophil and lymphocyte counts. We excluded patients who had evidence of acute prostatitis, a history of prostate surgery, and any systemic inflammatory disease. A multivariate logistic regression model was used to analyze prostate cancer detection. After adjusting for confounding factors, predictive values were determined according to the receiver operating characteristic-derived area under the curve, both including and excluding the NLR variable. In univariate analyses, NLR was a significant predictor of prostate cancer detection （P 〈 0.001）. In multivariate analyses, a higher NLR was significantly associated with prostate cancer detection after adjusting for other factors （OR = 1.372, P = 0.038）. The addition of NLR increased the accuracy from 0.712 to 0,725 （P = 0.005） in the multivariate model for prostate cancer detection. NLR may be a potentially useful clinical marker in the detection of prostate cancer among men with a Psa level in the 4-10 ng ml^-1 range. These findings are derived from a retrospective analysis and should be validated in larger populations through prospective studies.
