This paper highlights the crucial role of Indonesia’s GNSS receiver network in advancing Equatorial Plasma Bubble(EPB)studies in Southeast and East Asia,as ionospheric irregularities within EPB can disrupt GNSS signals and degrade positioning *** by the Indonesian Geospatial Information Agency(BIG),the Indonesia Continuously Operating Reference Station(Ina-CORS)network comprises over 300 GNSS receivers spanning equatorial to southern low-latitude ***-CORS is uniquely situated to monitor EPB generation,zonal drift,and dissipation across Southeast *** provide a practical tool for EPB research,by sharing two-dimensional rate of Total Electron Content(TEC)change index(ROTI)derived from this *** generate ROTI maps with a 10-minute resolution,and samples from May 2024 are publicly available for further scientific *** preliminary findings from the ROTI maps of Ina-CORS are ***,the Ina-CORS ROTI maps reveal that the irregularities within a broader EPB structure persist longer,increasing the potential for these irregularities to migrate farther ***,we demonstrate that combined ROTI maps from Ina-CORS and GNSS receivers in East Asia and Australia can be used to monitor the development of ionospheric irregularities in Southeast and East *** have demonstrated the combined ROTI maps to capture the development of ionospheric irregularities in the Southeast/East Asian sector during the G5 Geomagnetic Storm on May 11,*** observed simultaneous ionospheric irregularities in Japan and Australia,respectively propagating northwestward and southwestward,before midnight,whereas Southeast Asia’s equatorial and low-latitude regions exhibited irregularities *** sharing ROTI maps from Indonesia and integrating them with regional GNSS networks,researchers can conduct comprehensive EPB studies,enhancing the understanding of EPB behavior across Southeast and East Asia and contributing significantly to ionosphe

很多元素的最灵敏谱线主要分布在紫外波段。一些常被作为检测对象的重要元素,例如C、P和S,其谱线甚至位于200 nm以下的真空紫外波段。然而真空紫外波段内的辐射极易受空气吸收而无法在空气中传输。因此为了适用于紫外波段各谱线的检测,常使用光程短、系统精简的罗兰圆光学系统作为光谱仪的色散系统,并且在进行检测分析时,还需对设备腔体内部建立相对真空的环境进行实验,进而减小实验环境对真空紫外波段内各谱线强度的削弱作用。然而即使在该条件下,P和S这两种元素在真空紫外波段的谱线灵敏度仍然较弱。为此为了实现真空紫外波段范围内的高灵敏度,本研究在距离像面前30 mm处位置设计了一个柱面镜聚焦系统。其采用了材料为Caf_(2)、中心厚度为5 mm以及弧矢面曲率半径为22.06 mm的柱面镜作为核心部件。并利用仿真软件Zemax对设计的光学系统进行仿真与优化,以及从非序列模式下的辐射照度仿真结果可知,柱面镜聚焦系统在几乎不影响分辨率的情况下对各波长成像灵敏度有较大的提升。最后以中低合金钢为检测样品,使用电火花激发光源对样品中各元素在紫外波段内的各谱线进行激发,进而验证光谱仪的各项性能:通过一次拟合、参比拟合以及二次拟合,建立每个元素谱峰强度和实际含量之间的数学模型,并算得各元素的拟合优度R^(2)均在0.99以上;柱面镜聚焦系统显著提高了设备在真空紫外波段的灵敏度,响应提高了1倍以上。实验结果表明,柱面镜聚焦系统的设计方法对于提升罗兰圆色散系统的灵敏度具有一定的参考价值。

Unusual f_(3)stacking fault in magnesium

An unusual f_(3)basal stacking fault resulting from twin-dislocation interaction in magnesium is observed in molecular dynamics *** f_(3)fault is produced in the twin lattice from the interaction between a migrating(1012)twin boundary and a partial dislocation of either a prismaticedge,or a prismaticmixed dislocation in the *** condition is that the partial dislocation needs to have a negative sign and lie on a plane intersecting a compression site of the twin *** f_(3)fault can also be generated when a positive basalmixed dislocation in the twin lattice,with slip plane intersecting a compression site of the twin boundary,interacts with a basal-prismatic twinning *** f_(3)fault comprises two I_(1) faults that have the same character but are separated by two basal *** has one end connected to the twin boundary,and the other end bounded by a lattice defect with a Burgers vector identical to that of a 30°Shockley partial *** formation frequency of the f_(3)fault is higher at a lower shear stress(below∼400 MPa)and/or a lower temperature(100 K and 200 K).The f_(3)fault can decompose into a glissile 30°Shockley and a T_(2) fault at a temperature above∼400 *** relationships between the f_(3)fault and other types of basal stacking faults such as I_(2),T_(2) or paired I_(1) faults that are separated by multiple basal layers are discussed.

Merging bound states in the continuum in an open acoustic resonator

Bound states in the continuum （BICs） are perfectly localized resonances despite embedding in the continuum ***,an isolated BIC is very sensitive to the structure ***,we report merging acoustic BICs in a single open resonator,robust against the structure *** find that both symmetry-protected BIC and friedrich-Wintgen BIC are sustained in a single coupled waveguide-resonator *** varying the height and length of the resonator,these two BICs move toward each other and merge into a single one at a critical *** to an individual BIC,the merged BIC is robust against fabrication error because its Q-factor is proportional to ΔL-4,whereΔL embodies the structure *** essence of this extraordinary phenomenon is perfectly explained by the two-and three-level approximations of the effective nonHermitian ***,we present direct experimental demonstrations of the moving and merging of BICs in a coupled 3D waveguide-resonator,which are evidenced by the vanishing of the linewidth of fano resonance in the transmission *** results may find exciting applications in designing high-quality acoustic sources,sensors and filters.

friction stir spot welding of SPCC low carbon steel plates at extremely low welding temperature

friction stir spot welding (fSSW) was applied to 2.0 mm thick steel plate cold-rolled commercial (SPCC) low carbon steel plates at a very low rotation speed that ranged from 5 to 50rpm, which was much lower than that generally used for the conventional fSSW technique. Due to the very low heat input, the welding processes could therefore be completed at a peak welding temperature below 160℃. As a result, a significantly refined microstructure with an average grain size of about 0.41μm was formed in the stir zone of the joints and the JI {0-11 } and J2{1-1O} shear textures were the dominant components, which are different from the D1{11-2} and D2{-1-12} shear textures formed in the conventional fSSW joints. In addition, no heat affected zone could be detected along the crosssectional plane of the joints. Although a few void-like non-bonded areas were still observed along the interface between the upper and lower steel plates, the shear tensile loads of the joints increased to about 10.0 kN when welded at a condition of 8t, 20rpm and 30 s, and the joints fractured through the plug failure mode.

Closed-form solutions for free vibration of rectangular fGM thin plates resting on elastic foundation

This article presents closed-form solutions for the frequency analysis of rectangular functionally graded material (fGM) thin plates subjected to initially in-plane loads and with an elastic foundation. Based on classical thin plate theory, the governing differential equations are derived using Hamilton's principle. A neutral surface is used to eliminate stretching-bending coupling in fGM plates on the basis of the assumption of constant Poisson's ratio. The resulting governing equation of fGM thin plates has the same form as homogeneous thin plates. The separation-of-variables method is adopted to obtain solutions for the free vibration problems of rectangular fGM thin plates with separable boundary conditions, including, for example, clamped plates. The obtained normal modes and frequencies are in elegant closed forms, and present formulations and solutions are validated by comparing present results with those in the literature and finite element method results obtained by the authors. A parameter study reveals the effects of the power law index n and aspect ratio a/b on frequencies.

Trans-scale mechanics: looking for the missing links between continuum and micro/nanoscopic reality

Problems involving coupled multiple space and time scales offer a real challenge for conventional frame-works of either particle or continuum mechanics. In this paper, four cases studies （shear band formation in bulk metallic glasses, spallation resulting from stress wave, interaction between a probe tip and sample, the simulation of nanoindentation with molecular statistical thermodynamics） are provided to illustrate the three levels of trans-scale problems （problems due to various physical mechanisms at macro-level, problems due to micro-structural evolution at macro/micro-level, problems due to the coupling of atoms/ molecules and a finite size body at micro/nano-level） and their formulations. Accordingly, non-equilibrium statistical mechanics, coupled trans-scale equations and simultaneous solutions, and trans-scale algorithms based on atomic/molecular interaction are suggested as the three possible modes of trans-scale mechanics.

Efficacy of methanol-water extract of Inula helenium root against oxidative DNA damage

OBJECTIVE:To investigate the efficacy of methanol-water extract of Inula helenium root against oxidative DNA ***:Antioxidant properties of methanol-water extract of Inula helenium root were revealed by 2,2'-azinobis(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-suphonic acid)di-ammonium salt(ABTS),folin-Ciocalteu and high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)*** effect against oxidative DNA base damage was determined analyzing oxidative DNA base damage products by GC-MS/***:The methanol-water extract of Inula helenium root showed good antioxidant capacity[32.20 mg trolox equivalents(TE)/g dried weight(dw)by ABTS method,54.53 mg TE/g dw by chromium reducing antioxidant capacity method]and total phenolic content[29.83 mg gallic acid equivalent(GAE)/g dw].The chlorogenic acid,ferulic acid,rosmarinic acid and caffeic acid were determined in the extract by *** chlorogenic acid,ferulic acid and Inula helenium root extract were revealed to inhibit the oxidative DNA base damage by GC-MS/***:The studies showed a crucial decrease in the amount of the DNA base damage products when antioxidants were *** results showed that ferulic acid has better inhibition than chlorogenic acid for DNA *** methanol-water extract of Inula helenium root was determined to inhibit the oxidative DNA damage.

Quantified evaluation of particle shape effects from micro-to-macro scales for non-convex grains

Particle shape plays an important role in both the micro and macro scales responses of a granular assem- bly. This paper presents a systematic way to interpret the shape effects of granular material during quasi-static shearing. A more suitable shape descriptor is suggested for the quantitative analysis of the macroscale strength indexes and contact parameters for non-convex grains, with special consid- eration given to the peak state and critical state. Through a series of numerical simulations and related post-processing analysis, particle shape is found to directly influence the strain localisation patterns, microscale fabric distributions, microscale mobilisation indexes, and probability distribution of the nor- malised contact normal force. Additionally, the accuracy of the stress-force-fabric relationship can be influenced by the average normal force and the distribution of contact vectors. Moreover, particle shape plays a more important role than do the confining pressures in determining the friction angle. Strong force chains and the dilation effect are also found to be strongly influenced by the high confinin~ oressure.
