Rock mass quality prediction on tunnel faces with incomplete multi-source dataset via tree-augmented naive Bayesian network

Rock mass quality serves as a vital index for predicting the stability and sa.ety status of rock tunnel *** tunneling practice,the rock mass quality is often assessed via a combination of qualitative and quantitative ***,due to the harsh on-site construction conditions,it is rather difficult to obtain some of the evaluation parameters which are essential for the rock mass quality *** this study,a novel improved Swin Transformer is proposed to detect,segment,and quantify rock mass characteristic parameters such as water leakage,fractures,weak *** site experiment results demonstrate that the improved Swin Transformer achieves optimal segmentation results and achieving accuracies of 92%,81%,and 86%for water leakage,fractures,and weak interlayers,respectively.A multisource rock tunnel face characteristic(RTFC)dataset includes 11 parameters for predicting rock mass quality is *** the limitations in predictive performance of incomplete evaluation parameters exist in this dataset,a novel tree-augmented naive Bayesian network(BN)is proposed to address the challenge of the incomplete dataset and achieved a prediction accuracy of 88%.In comparison with other commonly used Machine learning models the proposed BN-based approach proved an improved performance on predicting the rock mass quality with the incomplete *** utilizing the established BN,a further sensitivity analysis is conducted to quantitatively evaluate the importance of the various parameters,results indicate that the rock strength and fractures parameter exert the most significant influence on rock mass quality.

Solute carriers(SLCs) constitute the largest superfamily of membrane transporter *** transporters, present in various SLC families, play a vital role in energy metabolism by facilitating the transport of diverse substances, including glucose, fatty acids, amino acids, nucleotides, and *** actively participate in the regulation of glucose metabolism at various steps, such as glucose uptake(e.g., SLC2A4/GLUT4), glucose reabsorption(e.g., SLC5A2/SGLT2), thermogenesis(e.g., SLC25A7/UCP-1), and ATP production(e.g., SLC25A4/ANT1 and SLC25A5/ANT2). The activities of these transporters contribute to the pathogenesis of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Notably, SLC5A2 has emerged as a valid drug target for T2DM due to its role in renal glucose reabsorption, leading to groundbreaking advancements in diabetes drug discovery. Alongside SLC5A2, multiple families of SLC transporters involved in the regulation of glucose homeostasis hold potential applications for T2DM therapy. SLCs also impact drug metabolism of diabetic medicines through gene polymorphisms, such as rosiglitazone(SLCO1B1/OATP1B1) and metformin(SLC22A1-3/OCT1-3 and SLC47A1, 2/MATE1, 2). By consolidating insights into the biological activities and clinical relevance of SLC transporters in T2DM, this review offers a comprehensive update on their roles in controlling glucose metabolism as potential drug targets.

Force spectrum measurements with constant loading rates are widely used in single-molecule manipulation experiments to study the mechanical stability and force response of ***-dependent transition rates can be obtained from the transition force distribution,but it is limited to the force range with non-zero force *** constant loading rate control can be realized with magnetic tweezers,the loading rate range is limited due to the slow movement of permanent ***-linear exponential and exponential squared force loading functions are more feasible in magnetic tweezers,while there is no theoretical result available for these two kinds of non-linear force loading *** this study,we solved the unfolding process of a protein following Bell's model under nonlinear exponential and exponential squared force loading functions,which offer a broader range of unfolding force distribution compared to the traditional constant loading rate ***,we derived two force loading functions,which can produce uniform unfolding force *** research contributes fundamental equations for the analysis of experimental data obtained through single-molecule manipulation under nonlinear force loading controls,paving the way for the use of nonlinear force control in magnetic tweezer experiments.

sa.ety issue is still a problem nowadays for the large-scale application of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)in electric vehicles and energy storage *** unsa.e behaviors of LIBs arise from the thermal run-away,which is intrinsically triggered by the overcharging and *** improve the sa.ety of LIBs,various protection strategies based on self-actuating reaction control mechanisms(SRCMs)have been proposed,including redox shuttle,polymerizable monomer additive,potential-sensitive separator,thermal shutdown separator,positive-temperature-coefficient electrode,thermally polymerizable addi-tive,and reversible thermal phase transition *** build-in protection mechanisms,these meth-ods can sensitively detect either the temperature change inside battery or the potential change of the electrode,and spontaneously shut down the electrode reaction at risky conditions,thus preventing the battery from going into thermal *** their advantages in enhancing the intrinsic sa.ety of LIBs,this paper overviews the research progresses of SRCMs after a brief introduction of thermal runaway mechanism and limitations of conventional thermal runaway mitigating *** importantly,the current states and issues,key challenges,and future developing trends of SRCTs are also discussed and outlined from the viewpoint of practical application,aiming at providing insights and guidance for developing more effective SRCMs for LIBs.

Treatment patterns and survival outcomes in patients with nonmetastatic early-onset pancreatic cancer

BACKGROUND The incidence of patients with early-onset pancreatic cancer(EOPC;age≤50 years at diagnosis)is on the rise,placing a heavy burden on individuals,families,and *** role of combination therapy including surgery,radiotherapy,and chemotherapy in non-metastatic EOPC is not *** To investigate the treatment patterns and survival outcomes in patients with non-metastatic *** A total of 277 patients with non-metastatic EOPC who were treated at our institution between 2017 and 2021 were investigated *** survival(OS),disease-free survival,and progression-free survival were estimated using the Kaplan-Meier *** and multivariate analyses with the Cox proportional hazards model were used to identify prognostic *** With a median follow-up time of 34.6 months,the 1-year,2-year,and 3-year OS rates for the entire cohort were 84.3%,51.5%,and 27.6%,*** median OS of patients with localized disease who received surgery alone and adjuvant therapy(AT)were 21.2 months and 28.8 months,respectively(P=0.007).The median OS of patients with locally advanced disease who received radiotherapy-based combination therapy(RCT),surgery after neoadjuvant therapy(NAT),and chemotherapy were 28.5 months,25.6 months,and 14.0 months,respectively(P=0.002).The median OS after regional recurrence were 16.0 months,13.4 months,and 8.9 months in the RCT,chemotherapy,and supportive therapy groups,respectively(P=0.035).Multivariate analysis demonstrated that carbohydrate antigen 19-9 level,pathological grade,T-stage,N-stage,and resection were independent prognostic factors for non-metastatic *** AT improves postoperative survival in localized *** after NAT and RCT are the preferred therapeutic options for patients with locally advanced EOPC.

Composite ceramic phosphor(CCP)is a candidate light-conversion material to obtain the high-quality laser lighting *** based on the transmissive configuration model could not simultaneously meet the requirements of angular color uniformity and high thermal *** this study,a novel composite structure ceramic was designed,including Al_(2)O_(3)-YAG:Ce/YAG layered ceramic with a size of 1 mm×1 mm for lighting,and Al_(2)O_(3) ceramic(φ=16.0 mm)was used as the wrapping material due to its outstanding thermal *** prepared ceramics exhibited excellent thermal performance and no yellow ring *** this design,we achieved the match of the intensity distribution of the blue and yellow lights,resulting in a high angular color uniformity of 0.9 with a view angle of±80°.All ceramics showed no luminous sa.uration phenomenon,even the laser power density was increased up to 47.51 W/mm^(2).A high-brightness white-light source with a luminous flux of 618 lm,a luminous efficiency of 126 lm/W,a CCT of 6615 K,and a CRI of 69.9 was obtained in the transmissive *** particular,the surface temperature of the ceramic was as low as 74.1℃ under a high laser radiation(47.51 W/mm^(2)).These results indicate that Al_(2)O_(3)/Al_(2)O_(3)-YAG:Ce/YAG composite structure ceramic is a promising luminescent material in the high-power laser lighting applications.

Sensitivity impacts owing to the variations in the type of zero-range pairing forces on the fission properties using the density functional theory

Using the Skyrme density functional theory,potential energy surfaces of^(240)Pu with constraints on the axial quadrupole and octupole deformations(q_(20)and q_(30))were *** volume-like and surface-like pairing forces,as well as a combination of these two forces,were used for the Hartree–Fock–Bogoliubov *** in the least-energy fission path,fission barrier,pairing energy,total kinetic energy,scission line,and mass distribution of the fission fragments based on the different forms of the pairing forces were analyzed and *** fission dynamics were studied based on the timedependent generator coordinate method plus the Gaussian overlap *** results demonstrated a sensitivity of the mass and charge distributions of the fission fragments on the form of the pairing *** on the investigation of the neutron-induced fission of^(239)Pu,among the volume,mixed,and surface pairing forces,the mixed pairing force presented a good reproduction of the experimental data.
