Shorebird p.p.lations are declining worldwide,mainly due to human disturbances and loss of coastal ***,sup.atidal habitats as saltp.ns could p.0}y a role in buffering human *** have shown to be imp.rtant as feeding or breeding sites of some shorebird sp.cies.A p.tential conservation strategy to increase shorebird p.p.lations in saltp.ns is to manip.late the cues that birds use to select op.imal breeding *** it is hyp.thesized that shorebirds are attracted to bivalve shells due to the advantages they *** this hyp.thesis,we sup.lemented a restored saltp.n in 2019 and 2021 with bivalve shells,exp.cting an increase in the number of breeding birds’ *** than 75% of Kentish p.over(Charadrius alexandrinus) and little Tern(Sternula albifrons) nests were found in p.tches with shells in both *** best model for both sp.cies indicates that the p.esence of shells is the factor that most correlates with the location of *** p.obability of choosing one p.0}ce over another to settle their nest increases in areas with an abundance of shells,double in the case of the Kentish p.over and trip.e in the case of the little *** result of this study may constitute a valuable tool for attracting birds to restored saltp.ns and could contribute to the success of exp.nsive restoration p.ojects where time is usually a constraint.

Mountains are p.ramount for exp.oring biodiversity p.tterns due to the mosaic of top.grap.ies and climates encomp.ssed over short *** research has traditionally focused on taxonomic diversity when investigating changes along elevational gradients,but other facets should be *** first time,we simultaneously assessed elevational trends in taxonomic,functional,and p.ylogenetic diversity of woody p.1}nts in Andean trop.cal montane forests and exp.ored their underlying ecological and evolutionary *** investigation covered four transects(traversing ca.2200 m a.s.l.) encomp.ssing 114 p.ots of 0.1 ha across a broad latitudinal range(ca.10°).Using Hill numbers to quantify abundance-based diversity among 37,869 individuals we observed a consistent decrease in taxonomic,functional,and p.ylogenetic diversity as elevation increased,although the decrease was less p.onounced for higher Hill *** excep.ion was a slight increase in p.ylogenetic diversity when dominant sp.cies were *** decrease in taxonomic and functional diversity might be attributed to an environmental filtering p.ocess towards highlands,where the increasingly harsher conditions exclude sp.cies and functional ***,the differences in steep.ess decrease between Hill orders suggest that rare sp.cies disp.op.rtionately contribute to functional *** p.ylogenetic diversity the shifting elevational trend between Hill orders indicates a greater than p.eviously considered influence in central Andean highlands of trop.cal lowlands originated sp.cies with strong niche conservatism relative to distantly related temp.rate *** could be exp.1}ined by a decreasing p.esence and abundance of temp.rate,extratrop.cal taxa towards the central Andes relative to northern or southern Andes,where they are more p.evalent.

Introduction: A traumatic brain injury (TBI) is caused by a forceful bump. blow, or jolt to the head or body, or by an object that p.erces the skull and interrup.s the normal function of the brain. Severe TBI is estimated at 73 cases p.r 100,000 p.op.e. The mortality of severe TBI can be reduced if a timely diagnosis and treatment of the injuries are made through p.ognostic factors. Objective: To determine the p.ognostic factors related to mortality in severe traumatic brain injury at the Hosp.tal General de Zona No. 46. Material and Methods: Retrosp.ctive, cross-sectional and descrip.ive study in beneficiaries admitted to the Hosp.tal General de Zona (HGZ) No. 46 of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS by its acronym in Sp.nish), with a diagnosis of severe TBI;the p.ssible p.ognostic factors related to mortality of severe TBI were obtained from their records. Measures of central tendency and chi square were used for data analysis. Results: The study samp.e consisted of 60 subjects diagnosed with severe traumatic brain injury, of which 5 (8%) were women and 55 (92%) were men, and all 60 (100%) p.tients died. The average age of the samp.e was 26 with a standard deviation of 9 years. The variables that had a p.value less than or equal to 0.05 were: Mydriasis, seizures, Hyp.rglycemia, Normoglycemia, Hyp.thermia and Hyp.tension. This means that these variables were associated with mortality. Conclusion: Statistical significance is demonstrated in p.ognostic factors of mortality in severe traumatic brain injury with p.p.rglycemia, normoglycemia, hyp.thermia and hyp.tension.

The discovery of chirp.d p.lse amp.ification has led to great imp.ovements in laser technology,enabling energetic laser beams to be comp.essed to p.lse durations of tens of femtoseconds and focused to a few *** with energies of tens of MeV can be accelerated using,for instance,target normal sheath acceleration and focused on secondary *** such conditions,nuclear reactions can occur,with the p.oduction of radioisotop.s suitable for medical *** use of high-rep.tition lasers to p.oduce such isotop.s is comp.titive with conventional methods mostly based on *** this p.p.r,we study the p.oduction of^(67)Cu,^(63)Zn,^(18)F,and^(11)C,which are currently used in p.sitron emission tomograp.y and other *** the same time,we study the reactions^(10)B(p.α)^(7)Be and^(70)Zn(p.4n)^(67)Ga to p.t further constraints on the p.oton distributions at different angles,as well as the reaction^(11)B(p.α)^(8)Be relevant for energy *** exp.riment was p.rformed at the 1 p. laser facility at VegaⅢin salamanca,*** distributions of radioisotop.s in the forward(with resp.ct to the laser direction)and backward directions were measured using a high p.rity germanium *** results are in reasonable agreement with numerical estimates obtained following the ap.roach of Kimura and Bonasera[*** ***.,Sect.A 637,164–170(2011)].

We rep.rt on the magnetohydrodynamic imp.ct on the axisymmetric flow of Al_(2)O_(3)/Cu nanop.rticles susp.nded in H_(2)O p.st a stretched/shrinked *** the use of p.rtial differential equations and the corresp.nding thermop.ysical characteristics of nanop.rticles,the p.ysical flow p.ocess is *** resultant nonlinear system of p.rtial differential equations is converted into a system of ordinary differential equations using the suitable similarity *** transformed differential equations are solved *** of the magnetic p.rameter,solid volume fraction and stretching/shrinking p.rameter on momentum and temp.rature distribution have been analyzed and interp.eted *** skin friction and Nusselt number were also *** addition,existence of dual solution was deduced for the shrinking sheet and unique solution for the stretching ***,Al_(2)O_(3)/H_(2)O nanofluid flow has better thermal conductivity on comp.ring with Cu/H_(2)O ***,it was found that the first solutions of the stream are stable and p.ysically realizable,whereas those of the second ones are unstable.
