Thickness-dependent monochalcogenide GeSe-based CBRAM for memory and artificial electronic synapses

Investigating the promising chalcogenide materials for the development of memory and advanced neuromorphic computing applications is a critical step in realizing electronic memory and synaptic devices that can efficiently emulate biological synaptic ***,the assessment of monochalcogenide materials for the fabrication of highly scalable memory and electronic synaptic devices that can accurately mimic synaptic functions remain *** the present study,we investigated the thickness-dependent resistive switching(RS)behavior of conductive bridge random access memory(CBRAM)based on a monochalcogenide GeSe switching medium for its possible application in high-performance memory and electronic *** thin films of different thicknesses(6,13,24,35,47,and 56 nm)were deposited via sputtering to fabricate CBRAM devices with a stacking sequence of Ag/GeSe/Pt/Ti/SiO_(2).The devices exhibited compliance current(CC)-free and electroforming-free RS with highly stable endurance and retention characteristics with no major *** devices with a thickness of 6 nm had a low-resistance state(LRS),which required an initial reset to ensure reliable switching *** devices with a thickness of 47 nm and above exhibited the co-existence of unipolar resistive switching(U-RS)and bipolar resistive switching(B-RS)with the CC-controlled transition between the two switching *** resistance states in the 24-nm device between a high-resistance state(HRS)and an LRS were achieved by controlling the set-CC(from 5 mA to CC-free)and the reset stop voltage(from–0.5 to–1.0 V)during the set and reset processes,*** analog RS behavior of the device was further investigated with appropriate pulse measurements to emulate vital synaptic functions,including long-term potentiation(LTP),long-term depression(LTD),spike-rate-dependent plasticity(SRDP),spike-timing-dependent plasticity(STDP),paired-pulse facilitation(PPf),paired-pulse depression(PPD)and

Process Mining Discovery Techniques for Software Architecture Lightweight Evaluation framework

This research recognizes the limitation and challenges of adaptingand applying Process Mining as a powerful tool and technique in theHypothetical Software Architecture (SA) Evaluation framework with thefeatures and factors of lightweightness. Process mining deals with the largescalecomplexity of security and performance analysis, which are the goalsof SA evaluation frameworks. As a result of these conjectures, all ProcessMining researches in the realm of SA are thoroughly reviewed, and ninechallenges for Process Mining Adaption are recognized. Process mining isembedded in the framework and to boost the quality of the SA model forfurther analysis, the framework nominates architectural discovery algorithmsflower, Alpha, Integer Linear Programming (ILP), Heuristic, and Inductiveand compares them vs. twelve quality criteria. finally, the framework’s testingon three case studies approves the feasibility of applying process mining toarchitectural evaluation. The extraction of the SA model is also done by thebest model discovery algorithm, which is selected by intensive benchmarkingin this research. This research presents case studies of SA in service-oriented,Pipe and filter, and component-based styles, modeled and simulated byHierarchical Colored Petri Net techniques based on the cases’ *** this framework dealswith the system’s log files obtainedfrom SA simulation. Applying process mining is challenging, especially for aSA evaluation framework, as it has not been done yet. The research recognizesthe problems of process mining adaption to a hypothetical lightweightSA evaluation framework and addresses these problems during the solutiondevelopment.

Hard exudates referral system in eye fundus utilizing speeded up robust features

In the paper a referral system to assist the medical experts in the screening/referral of diabetic retinopathy is suggested. The system has been developed by a sequential use of different existing mathematical techniques. These techniques involve speeded up robust features（SURf）, K-means clustering and visual dictionaries（VD）. Three databases are mixed to test the working of the system when the sources are dissimilar. When experiments were performed an area under the curve（AUC） of 0.9343 was attained. The results acquired from the system are promising.

On the Constant Metric Dimension of Generalized Petersen Graphs P(n,4)

In this paper, we consider the family of generalized Petersen graphs P（n,4）. We prove that the metric dimension of P（n, 4） is 3 when n = 0 （mod 4）, and is 4 when n = 4k ＋ 3 （k is even）.for n = 1,2 （mod 4） and n = 4k ＋ 3 （k is odd）, we prove that the metric dimension of P（n,4） is bounded above by 4. This shows that each graph of the family of generalized Petersen graphs P（n, 4） has constant metric dimension.

Circular neighbor-balanced designs using cyclic shifts

In agriculture experiments, the response on a given plot may be affected by the treatments on neighboring plots as well as by the treatments applied to that plot. In this paper we consider such type of situations and construct circular neighbor-balanced designs (CNBDs) by the method of cyclic shifts or sets of shifts. An important feature of this method is that the properties of a design can be easily obtained from the sets of shifts instead of constructing the actual blocks of the design. That is, the off-diagonal elements of the concurrence matrix can be easily obtained from the sets of shifts. Since the suggested designs are circular, balanced and binary, so they are universally optimal.

Polymer-free electrospun separator film comprising silica nanofibers and alumina nanoparticles for Li-ion full cell

A separator film for high-performance Li-ion batteries was prepared by electrospinning. The film had a hybrid morphology of silica nanofibers(SNfs) and alumina nanoparticles(ANPs), with a smooth surface, polymer-free composition, high porosity(79%), high electrolyte uptake(876%), and excellent thermal stability. Contact angle measurements demonstrated the better immersion capability of the SNf-ANP separator film for commercial liquid electrolytes than a commercial CELGARD 2500 separator film. Moreover,compared to the commercial CELGARD 2500 separator, the ionic conductivity of the SNf-ANP separator film was nearly three times higher, the bulk resistance was lower at elevated temperature(120 ℃), the interfacial resistance with lithium metal was lower, and the electrochemical window was wider. full cells were fabricated to determine the cell performance at room temperature. The specific capacity of the full cell with the SNf-ANP separator film was 165 mAh g-1;the cell was stable for 100 charge/discharge cycles and exhibited a capacity retention of 99.9%. Notably, the electrospun SNf-ANP separator film can be safely used in Li-ion or Li-S rechargeable batteries.

Integration of ID and 3D modeling schemes to establish the farewell formation as a self-sourced reservoir in Kupe field, Taranaki Basin, New Zealand

Along with conventional methods,this paper proposed a method in which ID and 3D models are integrated to identify the self-sourced reservoir potential of the farewell formation in the Kupe Gas field within the Taranaki Basin,New *** rock characteristics were evaluated at both field and basin scales by investigating source rock maturity,type of organic matter,and hydrocarbon generation potential by rock pyrolysis,using Rock-Eval 2 and *** ID thermal and burial history model established the rate of sedimentation and thermal history of the Kupe 4 *** characterization at field-scale was determined by seismic interpretation,well log analysis,and 3D structural and petrophysical *** sediments of the farewell formation contain types Ⅱ-Ⅲ(oil/gas prone)and type Ⅲ(gas prone)and have fair-to-excellent generation *** oxygen and hydrogen indices ranged from 3 to 476 mg C0_(2)/g TOC and 26 to 356 mg HC/g TOC,respectively,whereas the thermal maturity determined by vitrinite reflectance values ranged between 0.3%and 0.72%,indicating that the farewell formation is in immature-to-mature hydrocarbon generation ***,farewell formation was verified to be a good source ***,structural interpretations demonstrated the structural complexity of an extensional and contractional regime within the reservoir *** faults indicated a good reservoir property there with a trapping mechanism as well as migration paths.A well-log-based petrophysical analysis established the presence of up to 70%hydrocarbon saturation within the pore spaces of farewell *** 3D models confirmed that the farewell formation has significant sand zones and hydrocarbon-saturated zones,thereby proving its very good reservoir *** has been proved that the ID and 3D structural schemes,integrated with geological techniques,was vital in identifying the Kupe field as a self-sourced reservoir.
