Multiferroic materials attracted a lot of attention in recent years because of their significant scientific interest and technological applications. The multiferroic core/shell powders have a better connectivity between the phases, resulting in superior dielectric and magneto electric properties. In this study, the influence of preparation condition on structure and properties of BaTiO_3/α-Fe_2 O_3 core/shell composite materials was examined. The five samples were obtained by varying synthesis conditions, such as synthesized method(co-precipitation and sonochemical method) and pH values of solution. XRD and Raman spectroscopy analyses were performed in order to determine phase composition and structural changes within samples. Morphology modifications were examined by SEM and EDS analyses. Finally, effect of structural and microstructural changes on magnetic and electrical properties was detected and explained.

Background：The main goals of flexor tendon surgery are to restore digital motion by providing tendon healing and to preserve tendon *** purpose was to investigate the effects of 5-fluorouracil （5-FU） on tendon adhesions in partially divided profundus flexor tendons （flexor digitorum profundus [FDPs]） following surgical repair and in partially divided FDPs without surgical repair,and to compare the results of the repair versus the nonrepair of zone two injuries via macroscopic and biomechanical evaluations of tendon ***：We used 32 adult male European rabbits （Oryctolagus cunniculus） weighing from 2.5 to 3.5 *** study was performed on the deep flexor tendons of the second and third digits of the right hind paws of the rabbits;thus,a total of 64 tendons were examined in this ***：Based on the results achieved in our experimental study,the load （N） significantly increased in subgroup 1a in which the tendons were surgically repaired and were not treated with 5-FU compared with subgroup 2a in which tendons were surgically repaired and treated with ***：The load （N） significantly increased in subgroup 1 a in which the tendons were surgically repaired and were not treated with 5-FU compared to subgroup 2a in which the tendons were surgically repaired and treated with ***,these results revealed a decrease in adhesion formation in the subgroup that was treated with 5-FU due to increased resistance to tendon adhesions during their excursion through the tendon sheath,which in this case required greater traction force.

As a critical component of coherent X-ray diffraction imaging(CDI),phase retrieval has been extensively applied in X-ray structural science to recover the 3D morphological information inside measured *** meeting all the oversampling requirements of Sayre and Shannon,current phase retrieval approaches still have trouble achieving a unique inversion of experimental data in the presence of ***,we propose to overcome this limitation by incorporating a 3D Machine Learning(ML)model combining(optional)supervised learning with transfer *** trained ML model can rapidly provide an immediate result with high accuracy which could benefit real-time experiments,and the predicted result can be further refined with transfer *** significantly,the proposed ML model can be used without any prior training to learn the missing phases of an image based on minimization of an appropriate‘loss function’*** demonstrate significantly improved performance with experimental Bragg CDI data over traditional iterative phase retrieval algorithms.

Diabetes mellitus,a chronic disease of metabolism,is characterized by a disordered production or cellular utilization of *** foot disease,which comprises the spectrum of infection,ulceration,and gangrene,is one of the most severe complications of diabetes and is the most common cause of hospitalization in diabetic *** aim of this study is to provide an evidence-based overview of diabetic foot *** to neuropathy,diabetic foot infections can occur in the form of ulcers and minor skin *** patients with diabetic foot ulcers,ischemia and infection are the main causes of non-healing ulcers and *** compromises the immune system of individuals with diabetes,leading to persistent inflammation and delayed wound *** addition,the treatment of diabetic foot infections is challenging due to difficulty in accurate identification of pathogenic microorganisms and the widespread issue of antimicrobial *** a further complicating factor,the warning signs and symptoms of diabetic foot problems can easily be *** associated with diabetic foot complications include peripheral arterial disease and osteomyelitis;accordingly,the risk of these complications in people with diabetes should be assessed *** antimicrobial agents represent the mainstay of treatment for diabetic foot infections,if peripheral arterial disease is present,revascularization should be considered to prevent limb amputation.A multidisciplinary approach to the prevention,diagnosis,and treatment of diabetic patients,including those with foot ulcers,is of the utmost importance to reduce the cost of treatment and avoid major adverse consequences such as amputation.

Multi-phase ceramics based on ZrB_(2),TiB_(2) and doped with CrB_(2) and SiC were prepared by powder metallurgy and hot pressing to explore the possibility of obtaining multi-scale microstructures by super-saturation of complex(Zr,Ti,Cr)B_(2) solid ***-shell structures formed in TiB_(2) grains,whereas ZrB_(2) appeared to form a homogeneous solid solution with the other *** of nano-inclusions within both micron-sized borides was assessed by transmission electron microscopy and thermodynamics elucidated the preferential formation of boride inclusions due to the specific sintering *** addition,atomic size factors explicated the precipitation of CrB_(2) nano-particles into ZrB_(2)-rich grains and of ZrB_(2) nano-particles into TiB_(2)-rich *** hardness of the constituent phases measured by nanoindentation ranged from 36 to 43 GPa.

Staphylococcus aureus is an important human pathogen frequently detected in hospital community and has emerged as an important health concern in human medicine. Identification of S. aureus from clinical specimens by phenotypic methods may produce variable characteristics leading to ambiguity. Hence, a rapid and reliable method for identification of S. aureus is required which could expedite appropriate antibiotic therapy. This study aimed to evaluate the specificity of polymerase chain reaction (PCR) targeting a signal transduction gene, vicK, among S. aureus isolates of Hospital Sultanah Nur Zahirah, Kuala Terengganu, Malaysia. A total of 118 bacterial isolates were screened, which consisted of one hundred S. aureus isolates, ten Staphylococcus spp. and eight non-Staphylococci. Results indicated that PCR targeting vicK was able to identify 98% of S. aureus isolates with high sensitivity and specificity, while the remaining isolates of Staphylococcus spp. and non-Staphylococci did not yield any amplification of the gene. vicK thus, is highly specific within interspecies and intraspecies, which is potential to be used as a molecular identification marker for S. aureus.

AIM:To determine the association between distance and near visual acuity(VA)and cognitive function among older adults in Selangor,***:A total of 230 older adults(age≥60y)participated in this *** distance and near VA were measured using the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study Chart and Lighthouse Near Visual Acuity Chart,*** cognitive function was assessed using the Mini-Mental State Examination(M-MSE)and the Malay language version of the Montreal Cognitive Assessment(M-MoCA).Digit Symbol(DS)subtest was used to measure information ***:No significant association was observed between vision and M-MSE and M-MoCA ***,poor distance and near VA were found to be significantly associated with low DS scores[distance VA:β=-0.01,R2=0.1,P=0.02;odds ratio(OR)=2.84,95%confidence interval(CI),1.10-7.33,P=0.03;near VA:β=-0.05,R2=0.08,P=0.00;OR=3.32,95%CI,1.28-8.59,P=0.01].CONCLUSION:Poor vision is associated with a decline in information processing in older adults and substantiates the importance of preserving good vision in maintaining cognitive function.

The optimization process of embedded, or DG （distributed generation） is a very complex task, and it should be evaluated and compared by means of multi-criteria methods of analysis. The classical method for selection is usually based only on a single criterion analysis, and it is defined by thermal or economic aspects. The problem of optimal dispatch of DG is typical example of optimization, because it differs from the classical problem of generation dispatch in the power system, due to the specific criteria related to the DG interconnection. The most important goals are to maximize the renewable production and to minimize the total cost, while satisfying additional constraints related to the operation of a distribution network. As there are many DGs in a distribution network, it is very complicated to decide the optimal DG outputs to satisfy all the criteria and constraints imposed by the distribution network. Another problem is the lack of the dispatcher control over DGs, and very often, the only available action is to switch on or off the generator. Finally, network operator and DG owner perspective are often opposed regarding appropriate control action in the network. In this paper, a multicriteria decision support based on AHP （analytical hierarchical processes） method is proposed for the choice of the dispatching action. The method is illustrated on the choice of the DG to be switched off in the case or reverse power flow.
