Recently,user recognitionmethods to authenticate personal identity has attracted significant attention especially with increased availability of various internet of things(IoT)services through fifth-generation technology(5G)based mobile *** EMG signals generated inside the body with unique individual characteristics are being studied as a part of nextgeneration user recognition ***,there is a limitation when applying EMG signals to user recognition systems as the same operation needs to be repeated while maintaining a constant strength of muscle over ***,it is necessary to conduct research on multidimensional feature transformation that includes changes in frequency features over *** this paper,we propose a user recognition system that applies EMG signals to the short-time fourier transform(STFT),and converts the signals into EMG spectrogram images while adjusting the time-frequency resolution to extract multidimensional *** proposed system is composed of a data pre-processing and normalization process,spectrogram image conversion process,and final classification *** experimental results revealed that the proposed EMG spectrogram image-based user recognition system has a 95.4%accuracy performance,which is 13%higher than the EMGsignal-based *** a user recognition accuracy improvement was achieved by using multidimensional features,in the time-frequency domain.

Background Soy protein supplements,with high crude protein and less antinutritional factors,are produced from soybean meal by different *** study evaluated the comparative effects of various soy protein supplements replacing animal protein supplements in feeds on the intestinal immune status,intestinal oxidative stress,mucosaassociated microbiota,and growth performance of nursery *** Sixty nursery pigs(6.6±0.5 kg BW)were allotted to five treatments in a randomized complete block design with initial BW and sex as *** were fed for 39 d in 3 phases(P1,P2,and P3).Treatments were:Control(CON),basal diet with fish meal 4%,2%,and 1%,poultry meal 10%,8%,and 4%,and blood plasma 4%,2%,and 1%for P1,P2,and P3,respectively;basal diet with soy protein concentrate(SPC),enzyme-treated soybean meal(ESB),fermented soybean meal with Lactobacillus(FSBL),and fermented soybean meal with Bacillus(FSBB),replacing 1/3,2/3,and 3/3 of animal protein supplements for P1,P2,and P3,*** were analyzed using the MIXED procedure in SAS *** The SPC did not affect the BW,ADG,and G:F,whereas it tended to reduce(P=0.094)the ADFI and tended to increase(P=0.091)crypt cell *** ESM did not affect BW,ADG,ADFI,and G:F,whereas tended to decrease(P=0.098)protein carbonyl in jejunal *** FSBL decreased(P<0.05)BW and ADG,increased(P<0.05)TNF-α,and Klebsiella and tended to increase MDA(P=0.065)and IgG(P=0.089)in jejunal *** FSBB tended to increase(P=0.073)TNF-α,increased(P<0.05)Clostridium and decreased(P<0.05)Achromobacter and alpha diversity of microbiota in jejunal *** Soy protein concentrate,enzyme-treated soybean meal,and fermented soybean meal with Bacillus could reduce the use of animal protein supplements up to 33%until 7 kg body weight,up to 67%from 7 to 11 kg body weight,and entirely from 11 kg body weight without affecting the intestinal health and the growth performance of nursery *** soybean meal with

Since the introduction of sorafenib in 2007(1),a tyrosine kinase inhibitor(TKI),there have been notable advancements in systemic therapy for advanced-stage hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).Although the European Association for the Study of the Liver(EASL)Clinical Practice Guidelines regarding the management of HCC was published in 2018(2),recent progress,including the advent of several immune checkpoint inhibitors(ICIs),necessitated the revision of this ***,the EASL published a position paper to address the additional improvements on systemic therapy for HCC(3).Here,we aimed to summarize this position paper and comment on some updated points.

The commercial AZ91 alloy and nonflammable SEN9(AZ91-0.3Ca-0.2Y,wt%)alloy are extruded at 300°C and 400°*** microstructure,tensile and compressive properties,and low-cycle fatigue(LCF)properties are investigated,with particular focus on the influence of the extrusion *** the AZ91 and SEN9 materials extruded at 300°C(300-materials),numerous fine Mg_(17)Al_(12)particles are inhomogeneously distributed owing to localized dynamic precipitation during extrusion,unlike those extruded at 400°C(400-materials).These fine particles suppress the coarsening of recrystallized grains,decreasing the average grain size of *** the four extruded materials have considerably different microstructures,the difference in their tensile yield strengths is insignificant because strong grain-boundary hardening and precipitation hardening effects in 300-materials are offset almost completely by a strong texture hardening effect in ***,owing to their finer grains and weaker texture,300-materials have higher compressive yield strengths *** the LCF tests,{10-12}twinning is activated at lower stresses in 400-materials than in *** the fatigue damage accumulated per cycle is smaller in 400-materials,they have longer fatigue lives than those of 300-materials.A fatigue life prediction model for the investigated materials is established on the basis of the relationship between the total strain energy density(ΔW_(t))and the number of cycles to fatigue failure(N_(f)),and it is expressed through a simple equation(ΔW_(t)=10·N_(f)-0.59).This model enables fatigue life prediction of both the investigated alloys regardless of the extrusion temperature and strain amplitude.

HARQ Optimization for PDCP Duplication-Based 5G URLLC Dual Connectivity

Packet duplication(PD)with dual connectivity(DC)was newly introduced in the 5G New Radio(NR)specifications to meet the stringent ultra reliable low latency communication(URLLC)*** technology uses duplicated packets in the packet data convergence protocol(PDCP)layer that are transmitted via two different access nodes(ANs)to the user equipment(UE)in order to enhance the reliability ***,PD can result in unnecessary retransmissions in the lower layers since the hybrid automatic retransmission request(HARQ)operation is unaware of the transmission success achieved through the alternate DC link to the *** overcome this issue,in this paper,a novel duplication-aware retransmission optimization(DRO)scheme is proposed to reduce the resource usage induced by unnecessary HARQ *** proposed DRO scheme can minimize the average channel use while satisfying the URLLC *** proposed DRO scheme derives the optimal HARQ retransmission attempts for different ANs by solving a nonlinear integer programming(NLIP)*** performance of the proposed DRO scheme was evaluated using MATLAB simulation and is compared to the existing 5G HARQ support *** simulations results show that the proposed DRO scheme can provide a 14.71%and 15.11%reduced average channel use gain compared to the selective data duplication upon failure(SDUF)scheme and latency-aware dynamic multi-connectivity algorithm(LADMA)scheme,respectively,which are the existing 5G PD schemes that use HARQ.

In this study, the bending formability of an extruded Mg–9Al–1Zn–0.3Mn–0.9Ca–0.6Y–0.5 MM(AZXWMM91100, wt%) alloy at room temperature is significantly improved through application of a combined precompression and subsequent annealing(PCA) treatment. As the amount of precompression applied along the extrusion direction(ED)(i.e., the total strain) increases from 4% to 6%, the area fraction of ED-oriented grains of the PCA-treated alloy increases, which consequently causes an improvement in its bending formability because these grains accommodate larger tensile strain along the ED during bending. As the temperature of the subsequent annealing treatment increases from 350 ℃ to 450 ℃, both the area fraction of the ED-oriented grains and the average grain size increase, and the residual dislocation density decreases owing to the promotion of boundary migration and occurrence of the recovery process at higher ***, the bending formability of both the 4%-precompressed and the 6%-precompressed samples increases with an increase in the annealing temperature. However, when the precompressed samples are annealed at 300 ℃, their bending formability is lower than that of the extruded alloy because the dislocations formed by precompression remain even after the subsequent annealing at this temperature.

In this paper,since the Avalanche Photo Diode(APD)for Light-to-Voltage LTV conversion uses a high voltage in the operating range unlike other Photo Diodes(PD),the quenching resistor must be connected in series to prevent overcurrent when using the Transimpedance Amplifier(TIA).In such a case,quenching resistance may affect the transfer function of the TIA circuit,resulting in serious ***,in this paper,by analyzing the effect of APD quenching resistance on the voltage and current loop transfer function of TIA,we proposed a loop analysis and a method for determining the quenching resistance value to improve stability.A TIA circuit with quenching resistance was designed by the proposed method and its operational stability was verified through simulation and chip fabrication.
