An in vitro system was used for ectomycorrhizal synthesis of Cenococcum geophilum Fr. with Cathaya argyrophylla Chun et Kuang, an endangered species. Calli initiated from stem segments and adventitious roots differentiated from young seedlings were removed and cocultured with Cenococcum geophllum on a modified Murashlge-Skoog medium. Fungal hyphae were visible within intercellular spaces of the callus 4 weeks after inoculation, but definite and well-developed Hartig net structures did not form in the calU 8 weeks after inoculation. The typical ectomycorrhizal structures （i.e. hyphal mantle and Intracortical Hartig net） were observed in root segments 8 weeks after inoculation. This is the first report of aseptic ectomycorrhlzal-like formation/infection between root organ/callus of Cathaya argyrophylla and the ectomycorrhizal fungus Cenococcum geophflum. This culture system is useful for further investigation of mycorrhizal synthesis in Cathaya trees.

To construct overexpression lentiviral-based vector carrying rat B7x gene,B7x gene precursor sequences amplified by polymerse chain reaction（PCR） were ligated with pLVTHM to generate pLVTHM-B7x gene expression lentiviral-based *** positive clones were selected to be submitted to DNA ***293T cells were co-transfected with pLVTHM-B7x and two packaging plasmids psPAX2 and pMD2G to produce lentivirus which express B7x *** mRNA expression levels of B7x gene and virus titer were detected by real-time PCR in HEK293T *** B7x protein levels were detected by Western blot analysis in HEK293T *** identification of restriction enzyme digestion and DNA sequencing confirmed that pLVTHM-B7x lentiviral-based vector was successfully *** fluorescence was observed in HEK293T packaging cells by means of an inverted fluorescence microscope and the virus titer measured was 2×108 TU/*** will establish the foundation for studing deeply the biological function of B7x to construct successfully B7x expression lentiviral-based vector.

Although it is common for Chinese students to learn English for many years, they are still confronted with problems when it comes to communicating with people in English. Lack of working hard, necessary learning context, and interest does play a part; however, the problem really lies mostly in teaching process, so, to improve the quality of learning, teachers should bear more responsibilities and do more to bring humanism to English class and enhance student-centeredness. To achieve this goal, teachers should know more about students＇ learning styles so as to apply different approaches to students with different learning styles. What is more, priority should be given to analysis of learners＇ needs as well as preferences, on the basis of which a curriculum can be developed to meet the needs of a particular group of students. Finally, improvement of learner autonomy will lead to the shift of learning responsibilities from teacher to students, thus achieving student-centered learning ultimately.

OBJECTIVE Cardiac remodeling results in poor prognosis because of its association with ventricular dysfunction and malignant arrhythmias. METHODS We firstly performed the microarray profiling and bioinformatics analyses of long non-coding RNAs(lnc RNAs) in a mouse model of heart failure(HF) characterized by cardiac remodeling. Then we measured the levels of selected lnc RNAs with high profiles linking to cardiac dysfunction in clinical samples. RESULTS We found that circulating level of ZFAS1 was markedly lower in AMI than in non-AMI subjects. While CCRR is decreased in patients with *** we identified ZFAS1 as an inhibitor of SERCA2 a by binding to SERCA2 a protein. Abnormally increased ZFAS1 in MI impaired cardiac function. Most prominently,we identified a conserved functional domain of ZFAS1,which is much shorter and responsible for its deleterious effects. Moreover, we found CCRR silencing induced arrhythmias by destruction of intercalated discs and gap junctions to slow longitudinal cardiac conduction in healthy mice. CCRR overexpression improves cardiac conduction by blocking endocytic trafficking of connexin43(Cx43) to prevent its degradation via binding to Cx43-interacting protein CIP85. We identified the functional domain of CCRR, which can reproduce the functional roles of full-length CCRR. CONCLUSION Our studies suggest ZFAS1 and CCRR play pivotal roles in cardiac remodeling, and provide therapeutic strategy for ameliorating cardiac dysfunction.

The reliability of mining systems is generally low due to their harsh working conditions. Currently, efforts for improving mining system reliability are often made in isolation. This practice could substantially limit the effectiveness of the efforts on overall reliability improvement of the mining system. To enhance the overall reliability of mining systems, an integrated improvement approach is necessary. In this paper, we developed a framework for integrated mining system reliability improvement to address this issue. In this framework, there are five major components including data integration, business process integration, hardware integration, software integration and analysis/decision integration, but we only focus on the integrated reliability analysis which is important to the analysis/decision integration. The reliability analysis considers the interactions between machines, and the impacts of design, operation, maintenance, automation and working environment on the overall system reliability. These multiple interactions present a big challenge to accurate reliability prediction. In this paper, we for the first time systematically investigated integrated reliability analysis approaches for dealing with this challenge using novel models and methods, including covariate hazard models, intelligent reliability prediction approach and complex system modeling methods. While these models and methods have found some successful applications in other industries, they in general have not been effectively used for the reliability analysis of mining systems. Our study results show that the system integration approach is applicable to mining systems and can be used for developing a computer aided integration system for the implementation of the integrated reliability improvement approach.

Influence of sway motion on passive anti-rolling tank

The passive anti-rolling tank is one of important ship stabilizers widely used today. But at present, research of the tank is most aimed at its rolling movement. In this paper, the influence of sway motion on the passive anti-rolling tank is considered, the mathematical model of ＂ship-passive antl-rolling tank＂ system coupled with sway motion is developed basing on the U-shaped passive anti-rolling tank theory. Both simulation results and experimental data indicate that it is necessary to consider the influence of sway motion on the anti-rolling tank, which is more agreeable to the actual circumstance.

Local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene

We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson *** the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r^(-2) in real space in the doping ***,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as r^(-3).Such spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin ***,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment(***ález-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437(2016)).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase ***,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states(FT-LDOS).Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.

抗生素抗性基因(antibiotic resistance genes,ARGs)作为新兴环境污染物已对人类健康造成威胁,有研究表明,污水处理厂的二级出水是环境中ARGs的重要来源。采用O_(3)预氧化结合粉末活性炭(powdered activated carbon,PAC)与超滤(ultrafiltration,UF)组合工艺处理污水厂二级出水,考察O_(3)投加量与水样的pH、温度对二级出水中不同形态ARGs去除效果的影响因素和作用机理。结果表明:ARGs被O_(3)氧化失活后,经过PAC吸附与UF膜的过滤能得到更为有效的去除;在O_(3)最佳投加量(2.0 mg/L)条件下,O_(3)-PAC-UF组合工艺对二级出水中不同类型ARGs(tet A、tet C、tet G、sul I、sul II)和其他污染物(intⅠ1、16S rRNA)的去除量为10^(2.67)~10^(3.92)copies/mL,且对细胞态和游离态ARGs去除效果明显增强;升高pH和较低温度均利于ARGs的去除;O_(3)分子的直接氧化作用居于二级出水中ARGs去除机制的主导地位。综上,臭氧联合粉末活性炭与超滤组合可以有效去除二级出水中的抗生素抗性基因。
