Coupling of sulfur and boron in carbonaceous material to strengthen persulfate activation for antibiotic degradation:Active sites,mechanism,and toxicity assessment

Carbon-mediated persulfate advanced oxidation processes(PS-AOPs)are appealing in contaminant *** the first time,S,B-co-doped carbon-based persulfate activators were synthesized through direct carbonization of sodium lignosulfonate and boric *** degrading sulfamethoxazole(SMX),CSB-750 obtained 98.7%removal and 81.4%mineralization within 30 *** comparison with solo S or B doping,S and B co-doped carbon showed the coupling effect for enhanced *** rate constant(kobs)of 0.1679 min^(-1)was 22.38-and 279.83-fold higher than those of CS-750(0.0075 min^(-1))and CB-750(0.0006 min^(-1)),*** degradation was efficient at strong acidic and weak basic conditions(pH 3-9).Substantial inhibition effect was presented at strong basic condition(pH 10.95)and in presence of CO_(3)^(2-).The CO_(3)^(2-)-caused inhibition was the combined result of the cooperation of pH and quenching O_(2)^(·-).Thiophene sulfur,BC_(3),BC_(2)O,and structural defects were identified as the active sites for PS *** and nonradical pathways were both involved in the CSB-750/PS/SMX system,where^(1)O_(2)dominated the degradation,SO_(4)^(·-),·OH and direct electron transfer played the subordinate role,and O_(2)^(·-)served as a precursor for the formation of partial^(1)O_(2).The toxicity of degradation system,the effect of real water matrix,and the reusability of carbocatalysts were comprehensively *** possible degradation pathways were *** work focuses on the catalytic performance improvement through the coupling effect of S,B co-doping,and develops an advanced heteroatom doping system to fabricate carbonaceous persulfate activators.

In order to implement an observing strategy, image degradation that occurs during optical observation of space debris is ineluctable and has distinct characteris- tics. Image restoration is presented as a way to remove the influence of degradation in CCD images of space debris, based on assumed PSF models with the same F-WHM as images of the object. In the process of image restoration, the maximum entropy method is adopted. The results of reduction using observed raw CCD images indi- cate that the precision in estimating positions of objects is improved and the effects of degradation are reduced. Improving the astrometry of space debris using image restoration is effective and feasible.

The homogeneous approximation property （HAP） states that the number of building blocks involved in a reconstruction of a function up to some error is essentially invariant under time-scale shifts. In this paper, we show that every wavelet frame with nice wavelet function and arbitrary expansive dilation matrix possesses the HAP. Our results improve some known ones.

Specific challenges arise in the task of real-time automatic data reduction of optical space debris observations. Here we present an automatic technique that optimally detects and measures the sources from images of optical space debris ob- servations. We show that highly reliable and accurate results can be obtained on most images produced by our specific sensors, and due to optimizations, the whole pipeline works fast and efficiently. Tests demonstrate that the technique performs better than SExtractor from the point of view of fast and accurate detection, therefore it is well suited for data reduction of optical space debris observations.

In this paper, we study the reconstruction of spline functions from their nonuniform samples. We investigate the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the following problem: for given data {(x_n, y_n) : n ∈ Z}, find a cardinal spline f(x), of a given degree, satisfying yn = f(x_n), n ∈ *** necessary and/or sufficient conditions for the existence and uniqueness of the solution of the problem are derived. Finally, an example and some applications are presented to illustrate the main results.

We show that every Bessel sequence （and therefore every frame） in a separable Hilbert space can be expanded to a tight frame by adding some elements. The proof is based on a recent generalization of the frame concept, the g-frame, which illustrates that g-frames could be useful in the study of frame theory. As an application, we prove that any Gabor frame can be expanded to a tight frame by adding one window function.
