Absorbed Bioactive Compounds Replicate GuanxinⅡ-Induced Endothelium-Associated in/ex vivo Vasodilation

Objective:To develop an interference-free and rapid method to elucidate GuanxinⅡ(GXⅡ)'s representative vasodilator absorbed bioactive compounds(ABCs)among enormous ***:The contents of ferulic acid,tanshinol,and hydroxysafflor yellow A(FTA)in GXⅡ/rat serum after the oral administration of GXⅡ(30 g/kg)were detected using ultra-performance liquid chromatography-mass *** 18 rats were randomly assigned to the control group(0.9%normal saline),GXⅡ(30 g/kg)and FTA(5,28 and 77 mg/kg)by random number table *** coronary flow velocity-time integral(VTI),i.e.,coronary flow or coronary flow-mediated dilation(CFMD),and endothelium-intact vascular tension of isolated aortic rings were *** 12 h of exposure to blank medium or 0.5 mmol/L H_(2)O_(2),endothelial cells(ECs)were treated with post-dose GXⅡof supernatant from deproteinized serum(PGSDS,300μL PGSDS per 1 m L of culture medium)or FTA(237,1539,and 1510 mg/m L)for 10 min as control,H_(2)O_(2),PGSDS and FTA *** oxide(NO),vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF),endothelin-1(ET-1),superoxide dismutase(SOD),malondialdehyde(MDA)and phosphorylated phosphoinositide 3 kinase(p-PI3K),phosphorylated protein kinase B(p-AKT),phosphorylated endothelial nitric oxide synthase(p-e NOS)were *** was developed as a GXⅡproxy of ex vivo herbal crude ***:PGSDS effectively eliminates false responses caused by crude GXⅡ*** doses equaled the contents in GXⅡ/its post-dose serum,FTA accounted for 98.17%of GXⅡ-added CFMD and 92.99%of PGSDS-reduced vascular *** ECs,FTA/PGSDS was found to have significant antioxidant(lower MDA and higher SOD,P<0.01)and endothelial function-protective(lower VEGF,ET-1,P<0.01)*** increases in aortic relaxation,endothelial NO levels and phosphorylated PI3K/Akt/e NOS protein induced by FTA/PGSDS were markedly abolished by NG-nitro-L-arginine methyl ester(L-NA,e NOS inhibitor)and wortmannin(PI3K/AKT inhibitor

Prediction of mechanical ventilation outcome by early abdominal-visceral-blood-flow-and-function score in critically ill patients after cardiopulmonary bypass in the ICU: A prospective observational study

Background:Abdominal organs are important organs that sense and respond to ischemia and hypoxia,but there are few evaluation *** use ultrasonography to evaluate abdominal organ function and blood flow in patients with mechanical ventilation(MV)after cardiopulmonary bypass and to obtain a semiquantitative score for abdominal organ function and blood ***:Patients with cardiopulmonary bypass in the Critical Care Department of Peking Union Medical College Hospital in China from March to July 2021 were enrolled in this prospective observational *** correlation of the abdominal-visceral-blood-flow-and-function score(AVBFS)with the duration of MV,number of days spent in the intensive care unit(ICU),acute physiology and chronic health evaluation II(APACHE-II),sequential organ failure assessment(SOFA),lactate,epinephrine,and norepinephrine use was analyzed,and the results were used to assess the predictive value of the receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)regression analysis score for the duration of ***:Of the 92 patients who underwent cardiopulmonary bypass,41 were finally *** AVBFS were significantly correlated with the duration of MV,number of days spent in the ICU,APACHE-II score,SOFA score,and norepinephrine use *** AVBFS in a group of patients using ventilators≥36 h were significantly higher than those obtained for a group of patients using ventilatorssults for the AVBFS at 0-12 h after ICU admission were as follows:area under the ROC curve(AUC)=0.876(95%confidence interval[CI]:0.767 to 0.984),cut-off value=2.5,specificity=0.842,and sensitivity=***:Abdominal visceral organ function and blood perfusion can be used to evaluate gastrointestinal *** is related to early and late extubation after cardiac surgery.

Numerical simulation of microwave-induced cracking and melting of granite based on mineral microscopic models

This study introduces a coupled electromagnetic–thermal–mechanical model to reveal the mechanisms of microcracking and mineral melting of polymineralic rocks under microwave *** tests validate the rationality of the proposed *** microscopic mineral sections into the granite model for simulation shows that uneven temperature gradients create distinct molten,porous,and nonmolten zones on the fracture ***,the varying thermal expansion coefficients and Young's moduli among the minerals induce significant thermal stress at the mineral *** and biotite with higher thermal expansion coefficients are subjected to compression,whereas plagioclase with smaller coefficients experiences tensile *** the molten zone,quartz undergoes transgranular cracking due to theα–βphase *** local high temperatures also induce melting phase transitions in biotite and *** numerical study provides new insights into the distribution of thermal stress and mineral phase changes in rocks under microwave irradiation.

Structural regulation of coal-derived hard carbon anode for sodium-ion batteries via pre-oxidation

Hard carbon(HC)is broadly recognized as an exceptionally prospective candidate for the anodes of sodium-ion batteries(SIBs),but their practical implementation faces substantial limitations linked to precursor factors,such as reduced carbon yield and increased ***,a cost-effective approach is proposed to prepare a coal-derived HC anode with simple pre-oxidation followed by a post-carbonization process which effectively expands the d_(002)layer spacing,generates closed pores and increases defect *** these modifications,the resulting HC anode attains a delicate equilibrium between plateau capacity and sloping capacity,showcasing a remarkable reversible capacity of 306.3 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.03 A·g^(-1).Furthermore,the produ ced HC exhibits fast reaction kinetics and exceptional rate performance,achieving a capacity of 289 mAh·g^(-1)at 0.1 A·g^(-1),equivalent to~94.5%of that at 0.03 A·g^(-1).When implemented in a full cell configuration,the impressive electrochemical performance is evident,with a notable energy density of 410.6 Wh·kg^(-1)(based on cathode mass).In short,we provide a straightforward yet efficient method for regulating coal-derived HC,which is crucial for the widespread use of SIBs anodes.
