Depleting fossil energy sources and conventional polluting power generation pose a threat to sustainable *** generation from ubiquitous and spontaneous phase transitions between liquid and gaseous water has been considered a promising strategy for mitigating the energy *** materials with unique flexibility,processability,multifunctionality,and practicability have been widely applied for fibrous materials-based hydroelectricity generation(FHG).In this review,the power generation mechanisms,design principles,and electricity enhancement factors of FHG are first ***,the fabrication strategies and characteristics of varied constructions including 1D fiber,1D yarn,2D fabric,2D membrane,3D fibrous framework,and 3D fibrous gel are ***,the advanced functions of FHG during water harvesting,proton dissociation,ion separation,and charge accumulation processes are analyzed in ***,the potential applications including power supply,energy storage,electrical sensor,and information expression are also ***,some existing challenges are considered and prospects for future development are sincerely proposed.

Intercalated kaolinite as an emerging platform for cancer therapy

An innovative cancer therapy strategy regarding the interface engineering of kaolinite has been designed. The exposed silanol group facilitates more guest species with high dispersion on the supports. Mn_3O_4 magnetic nanoparticles are uniformly distributed on external surfaces of the Kaolin_(C12N)with the Al–O–Mn bond for the detection of the tumor microenvironment by T1-MRI; Doxorubicin(DOX) are loaded in the interlayer space with the electrostatic interaction for chemo-treating; and KI is coated on the outer layer of the nanocomposites based on the electrostatic interaction for thyroid cancer targeting. The synergetic effects and the treatment mechanism enhanced by the interface engineering, KI@DOX-Mn_3O_4-Kaolin_(C12N)can cause remarkably low cell viability(57%, 200 μg/mL), tumor shrinking(75%, 20 μg/kg), and accumulation into the tumor tissues. The novel kaolinite based drug delivery system is expected to incorporate imaging diagnosis, targeted therapy and drug delivery into one single system for postoperative residual thyroid cancer treatment and observation for metastasis of focal area.

Response surface method using grey relational analysis for decision making in weapon system selection

A proper weapon system is very important for a na- tional defense system. Generally, it means selecting the optimal weapon system among many alternatives, which is a multiple- attribute decision making （MADM） problem. This paper proposes a new mathematical model based on the response surface method （RSM） and the grey relational analysis （GRA）. RSM is used to obtain the experimental points and analyze the factors that have a significant impact on the selection results. GRA is used to an- alyze the trend relationship between alternatives and reference series. And then an RSM model is obtained, which can be used to calculate all alternatives and obtain ranking results. A real world application is introduced to illustrate the utilization of the model for the weapon selection problem. The results show that this model can be used to help decision-makers to make a quick comparison of alternatives and select a proper weapon system from multiple alternatives, which is an effective and adaptable method for solving the weapon system selection problem.

An efficient quantum proactive incremental learning algorithm

In scenarios where a large amount of data needs to be learned, incremental learning can make full use of old knowledge, significantly reduce the computational cost of the overall learning process, and maintain high performance. In this paper, taking the MaxCut problem as our example, we introduce the idea of incremental learning into quantum computing, and propose a Quantum Proactive Incremental Learning algorithm(QPIL). Instead of a one-off training of quantum circuit, QPIL contains a multi-phase training on gradually-increased subgraphs of all vertices, proactively reducing large-scale problems to smaller ones to solve in steps, providing an efficient solution for MaxCut. Specifically, some vertices and corresponding edges are randomly selected for training to obtain optimized parameters of the quantum circuit at first. Then, in each incremental phase, the remaining vertices and corresponding edges are gradually added and the parameters obtained from the previous phase are reused in the parameter initialization of the current phase. We perform experiments on 120 different small-scale graphs, and it shows that QPIL performs superior to prevalent quantum and classical baselines in terms of approximation ratio(AR), time cost, anti-forgetting, and solving stability. In particular, QPIL's AR surpasses 20% of mainstream quantum baselines, and the time cost is less than 1/5 of them. The idea of QPIL is expected to inspire efficient and high-quality solutions in large-scale Max Cut and other combinatorial optimization problems.

A method of determining nonlinear large strain consolidation parameters of dredged clays

A method of obtaining the large strain consolidation parameters of dredged clays considering the influence of the initial water content is investigated in this study. According to the test results of remolded clays with high initial water contents reported by Hong et al. （2010）, a relationship between the void ratio （e） and effective stress （a3 is established. Furthermore, based on the available permeability data from the literature, a new relationship between the permeability coefficient （k） and the ratio （e/eL） of the void ratio to the void ratio at the liquid limit （eL） is proposed. The new proposed expression considering the initial water content improves the e-k equation established by Nagaraj et al. （1994）. Finally, the influence of the initial void ratio and effective stress on the large strain consolidation coefficient g（e） defined by Gibson et al. （1981） and k/（1 ＋e） in large strain analysis is discussed. The results show that, under a constant effective stress, the value of k/（1 ＋e） increases with the initial void ratio. The large strain consolidation coefficient shows the law of segmentation change, which decreases with the increase of the effective stress when the effective stress is less than the remolded yield stress, but increases rapidly with the effective stress when the effective stress is larger than the remolded yield stress.

BACKGROUND Percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI) is extensively used to treat acute coronary syndromes(ACS).Acute mesenteric ischemia is a life-threatening disease if *** SUMMARY An 81-year-old female presented with 3 d of lethargy and 1 d of *** November 16,2021,the patient developed a *** oxygen saturation dropped to 70%-80%,the patient was admitted to the intensive care unit for further *** computed tomography(CT) showed chronic bronchitis,emphysema,and multiple lung *** CT scan showed no obvious abnormalities,but have severely calcified abdominal *** patient received assisted ventilation,and vasoactive,and anti-infection *** level was *** the patient was in a coma,it could not be determined whether she had chest *** cardiologist assumed that the patient had developed ACS;therefore,the patient underwent PCI via the left femoral artery approach,and no obvious abnormalities were found in the left and right coronary *** the second postoperative day,the patient presented with abdominal distension and decreased bowel sounds;constipation was considered and a glycerin enema was *** day 4,the patient suddenly lost consciousness,and had decreased blood pressure,abdominal wall swelling with increased tension,and absence of bowel *** urgent abdominal CT scan revealed gas in her hepatic portal system with extensive bowel wall *** patient died on day 5 due to intractable *** The potential serious complications in patients undergoing PCI,especially the patients who are hemodynamically unstable and have severely calcified abdominal vessels,should all be considered.

Influence of multi-stage heat treatment on the microstructure and mechanical properties of TC21 titanium alloy

Duplex-structured TC21 alloy samples were first solution-treated at a higher temperature in theα+βregion(940°C)with furnace cooling(FC),air cooling(AC),and water cooling(WC),followed by a second-stage solution treatment at a lower temperature in theα+βregion(900°C),and then finally aged at 590°*** effects of the morphology and quantity ofαphases on the structure and properties of the TC21 alloy after the different heat treatments were *** in-situ tensile deformation process and crack propagation behavior were observed using scanning electron microscopy(SEM).The quantity of equiaxedαphases as well as the thickness of lamellarαphases reduced,the tensile strength increased firstly and then decreased,the elongation decreased with the increasing cooling rate after the first-stage solution *** amount and size of lamellarαphases increased after the second-stage solution treatment because of sufficient diffusion of the alloying elements,thereby leading to increased tensile *** amount of dispersedαphases increased after the third-stage aging treatment owing to the increase in the nucleation rate,resulting in a noteworthy strengthening *** the third-stage aging treatment,the first-stage FC sample exhibited better mechanical properties because it contained more equiaxedαandβtrans phases than the first-stage AC and WC samples.

Enhancing photoresponsiveness of metal-organic polyhedra by modifying microenvironment

Photoresponsiveness of materials is critical to their tunability and efficiency in terminal *** metal-organic polyhedra(PMOPs)feature intrinsic pores and remote controllability,but aggregation of PMOPs in solid state hampers their photoresponsiveness ***,we report the construction of a new PMOP(Cu_(24)(C_(16)H_(12)N_(2)O_(4))_(12)(C_(18)H_(22)O_(5))12,denoted as MOP-PR-LA),where long alkyl(LA)chains act as the intermolecular poles,propping against adjacent PMOP molecules to create individual microenvironment benefiting the isomerization of photoresponsive(PR)*** ultraviolet(UV)-and visible-light irradiation,MOP-PR-LA is much easier to isomerize than the counterpart MOP-PR without *** propylene adsorption,MOP-PR has a low change of adsorption capacity(9.9%),while that of MOP-PR-LA reaches 58.6%.Density functional theory calculations revealed that PR in the cis state has a negative effect on adsorption,while the trans state of PR favors *** work might open an avenue for the construction of photoresponsive materials with high responsiveness and controllability.

Local voxelizer:A shape descriptor for surface registration

Surface registration brings multiple scans into a common coordinate system by aligning their overlapping components. This can be achieved by finding a few pairs of matched points on different scans using local shape descriptors and employing the matches to compute transformations to produce the alignment. By defining a unique local reference frame(LRF) and attaching an LRF to shape descriptors,the transformation can be computed using only one match based on aligning the LRFs. This paper proposes a local voxelizer descriptor,and the key ideas are to define a unique LRF using the support around a basis point,to perform voxelization for the local shape within a cubical volume aligned with the LRF,and to concatenate local features extracted from each voxel to construct the descriptor. An automatic rigid registration approach is given based on the local voxelizer and an expanding strategy that merges descriptor representations of aligned scans. Experiments show that our registration approach allows the acquisition of 3D models of various objects,and that the local voxelizer is robust to mesh noise and varying mesh resolution,in comparison to two state-of-the-art shape descriptors.
