The synthesis of 2-butenal,which is a vital raw material for the production of sorbic acid as a food preservative,generates some toxic by-products,so it is urgent to seek better detoxification strategies for the treatment of 2-butenal manufacture *** this study,batch experiments were carried out to investigate the inhibition effect of wastewater on the methanogenic *** understand the wastewater toxicity to anaerobic granular sludge,variations of the specific methanogenic activity(SMA)and extracellular polymeric substance(EPS)constituents at various wastewater CODs were ***-visible(UV-vis)spectra and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectra were employed to analyze the structure of the *** results showed that the inhibitory ratio of 2-butenal manufacture wastewater was less than 8.4%on the anaerobic granular sludge when the CODs were less than 959 mg/***,the inhibitory ratio increased from 36.4%to 93.6% when CODs increased from 2396 mg/L to 9585 mg/L,with the SMA decreasing from 39.1 mL CH4/(gVSS·d)to 3.2 mL CH4/(gVSS·d).The diversity of the microbial community under various CODs was researched by Illumina 16S rRNA Miseq sequencing and the results demonstrated that Proteiniphilum、Petrimonas and Syntrophobacter were the dominant bacteria genera in all *** archaea,Methanobacterium was the most dominated archaea genera,followed by the Methanosaeta group in all ***,the bacterial communities had changed obviously with increasing CODs,which indicated high CODs played a negative impact on the richness and diversity of bacterial community in the sludge samples.

As membrane-bound structures that could be shedded by a parental cell,and fuse with others after shedding,and then release its contents,extracellular vesicles(EVs)are considered as an indispensable part of intercellular communication *** EV contents might be all kinds of bioactive molecules including non-coding RNAs(ncRNAs),a large and complex group of RNAs with various subtypes that function to regulate biological events but classically do not code for *** this review we covered the recently published works that validated the underlying molecular mechanisms regulating EV-associated ncRNAs’biogenesis,signaling,and particularly the systemic bio-effects related mostly to any stage of cancer progression,and the clinical potential of ncRNA-carrying EVs as diagnostic biomarkers and drugdelivery system that is being engineered for better loading and targeting *** views on the future direction of basic research and applications of EVs containing ncRNAs have also been shared.

The defect chemistry is successfully modulated on free-standing and binder-free carbon cathodes for highly efficient Li-S redox *** rationally regulated defect engineering realizes the synchronization of ion/electron-conductive and defect-rich networks on the threedimension carbon cathode,leading to its tunable activity for both relieving the shuttle phenomenon and accelerating the sulfur redox reaction *** expected,the defective carbon cathode harvests a high rate capacity of 1217.8 mAh g^(-1)at 0.2 C and a superior capacity retention of61.7%at 2 C after 500 *** under the sulfur mass loading of 11.1 mg cm^(-2),the defective cathode still holds a remarkable areal capacity of 8.5 mAh cm^(-2).

In the cloud environment, where the cloud server cannot always be fully trusted, both data and query privacy should be well protected for secure data outsourcing. Searchable encryption provides a more practical solution to secure data storage while enabling efficient search queries. In this paper, four important problems of public key encryption with keyword search(PEKS), namely, a scheme without secure channels,conjunctive keyword search,(offline) outside and inside keyword guessing attack(full KGA) resistance and proof in the standard model, are considered. We provide an in-depth analysis of the reasons behind(offline)full KGA by considering two types of PEKS schemes as examples. In particular, we introduce the concept of server-aided secure channel free public key encryption with conjunctive keyword search(SA-SCF-PECKS)which can resist(offline) full KGA. Furthermore, we provide a concrete and efficient construction of SA-SCFPECKS, and prove its security in the standard model. To the best of our knowledge, our proposal is the first PECKS scheme to address these four problems simultaneously. We compare the security and efficiency of our scheme with those of other related PECKS schemes in theoretical and practical ways. In general,compared with other schemes, our SA-SCF-PECKS scheme shows better performance in terms of security and efficiency.

Here the regulatory role of CO during stomatal movement in Vicia faba L. was surveyed. Results indicated that, like hydrogen peroxide （H2O2）, CO donor HemaUn induced stomatal closure in dose- and time-dependent manners. These responses were also proven by the addition of gaseous CO aqueous solution with different concentrations, showing the first time that CO and H2O2 exhibit the similar regulation role in the stomatal movement. moreover, our data showed that ascorbic acid （ASA, an important reducing substrate for H2O2 removal） and diphenylene iodonium （DPI, an inhibitor of the H2O2-generating enzyme NADPH oxidase） not only reversed stomatal closure by CO, but also suppressed the H2O2 fluorescence induced by CO, implying that CO induced-stomatal closure probably involves H2O2 signal. Additionally, the CO/NO scavenger hemoglobin （Hb） and CO specific synthetic inhibitor ZnPPIX, ASA and DPI reversed the darkness-induced stomatal closure and H2O2 fluorescence. These results show that, perhaps like H2O2, the levels of CO in guard cells of V. faba are higher in the dark than in light, HO-1 and NADPH oxidase are the enzyme systems responsible for generating endogenous CO and H2O2 in darkness respectively, and that CO is involved in darkness-induced H2O2 synthesis in V. faba guard cells.

Toxicity Effects of 1,4-Dinitrobenzene on Oryzias Latipes

Dinitrobenzene(1,4-DNB) is one of the preferential toxicants stipulated by OECD and EPA of USA. With Oryzias latipes, which were chosen as the acceptors according to the international standard, the acute, subacute and accumulative toxicity experiments were conducted. The threshold mass concentration of *** was 1.360 mg/L. The subacute experiment showed that *** were hardly affected when the mass concentration of 1,4-DNB was 0.0292 mg/L, but were significantly affected when the mass concentration of 1,4-DNB was 0.0420, 0.0608 or 0.0875 mg/L in contrast to the control sample(Pmore strongly the Na +/K +-ATPase is inhibited. The calculated IC_ 50 values in gill, kidney and liver of O. latipes are 0.128, 0.132 and 0.428 mg/L, respectively.

Existing experimental results have shown that four types of physical mechanisms, namely, martensite transformation, martensite reorientation, magnetic domain wall motion and magnetization vector rotation, can be activated during the magneto-mechanical deformation of NiMnGa ferromagnetic shape memory alloy (FSMA) single crystals. In this work, based on irreversible thermodynamics, a three-dimensional (3D) single crystal constitutive model is constructed by considering the aforementioned four mechanisms simultaneously. Three types of internal variables, i.e., the volume fraction of each martensite variant, the volume fraction of magnetic domain in each variant and the deviation angle between the magnetization vector, and easy axis are introduced to characterize the magneto-mechanical state of the single crystals. The thermodynamic driving force of each mechanism and the thermodynamic constraints on the constitutive model are obtained from Clausius's dissipative inequality and constructed Gibbs free energy. Then, thermodynamically consistent kinetic equations for the four mechanisms are proposed, respectively. Finally, the ability of the proposed model to describe the magneto-mechanical deformation of NiMnGa FSMA single crystals is verified by comparing the predictions with corresponding experimental results. It is shown that the proposed model can quantitatively capture the main experimental phenomena. Further, the proposed model is used to predict the deformations of the single crystals under the non-proportional mechanical loading conditions.

The energy efficiency issue caused by the memory wall in traditional von Neumann architecture is difficult to reconcile. In-memory computing(CIM) based on emerging nonvolatile memory(NVM) is a promising solution to avoid data movement between storage and processors and realize highly energy-efficient computing. Compared with other NVM technologies, phase change random access memory(PCM) exhibits comprehensive performance for analog computing. In this paper, we review advanced PCM techniques,including phase-change materials, mechanisms, and unique properties, as a foundation and inspiration for implementing CIM architecture. Meanwhile, state-of-the-art PCM-based CIM systems are well discussed for high energy efficiency in artificial neural networks, spiking neural networks, and other artificial intelligence(AI) applications. Finally, we present the remaining challenges and potential solutions of CIM for further investigation.
