Vitellogenin（Vtg）is the precursor of egg yolk proteins,and its expression has been used as a reliable biomarker for estrogenic contamination in the aquatic *** examine the biomarker potential of the self-fertilizing killifish Kryptolebias marmoratus Vtgs（Km-Vtgs）,full genomic DNAs of Km-Vtgs-Aa,Km-Vtgs-Ab,and Km-Vtgs-C were cloned,sequenced,and *** Vtg genes in *** are tandemly placed in a550 kb section of the same *** silico analysis of promoter regions revealed that both the Km-Vtgs-Aa and Km-Vtgs-Ab genes had an estrogen response element（ERE）,but the Km-Vtgs-C gene did ***,all three Km-Vtgs genes had several ERE-half sites in their promoter *** analysis demonstrated that the three deduced amino acid residues were highly conserved with conventional Vtgs protein,forming distinctive clades within teleost *** tissue showed the highest expression of Km-Vtg transcripts in all tested tissues（brain/pituitary,eye,gonad,intestine,skin,and muscle）in response to endocrine disrupting chemical（EDC）-exposed ***-Vtg transcripts were significantly increased in response to 17β-estradiol（E2）,tamoxifen（TMX）,4-n-nonylphenol（NP）,bisphenol A（BPA）,and octylphenol（OP）over 24 hr *** Km-Vtg-A gene was highly expressed compared to the control in response to NP and ***-induced modulatory patterns of Km-Vtg gene expression were different depending on tissue,gender,and isoforms.

Objective: We aimed to evaluate the effect of simultaneous cholecystectomy on the short-term postoperative outcomes and nutritional status in patients with gastric ***: We retrospectively reviewed data from 4,820 patients with gastric cancer who underwent gastrectomy from January 2011 to December 2016. Patients who underwent only gastrectomy(N=4,578) were matched to those who underwent simultaneous cholecystectomy during gastrectomy(N=242) at a 1:1 ratio using propensity score matching analysis. The nutritional status and inflammatory responses preoperatively and postoperatively and postoperative outcomes were compared between the ***: The simultaneous cholecystectomy group showed more intraoperative blood loss and a longer operative time than the gastrectomy only group [150.0(100.0, 200.0) m L vs. 100.0(100.0, 200.0) m L, P=0.006;176.0(150.0,210.0) min vs. 155.0(128.0, 188.0) min, Pmin level, fasting glucose level,and prognostic nutritional index excluding the cholesterol level were not significantly different between the groups,and their changing patterns were similar. Although the cholesterol level was significantly lower in the simultaneous cholecystectomy group than in the gastrectomy only group at all follow-up points, the mean value of the decreased cholesterol level was within normal ***: In gastric cancer patients with gallbladder disease, simultaneous cholecystectomy is safe and not associated with additional nutritional loss.

Hepatic artery pseudoaneurysm(HAP) is a very rare disease but in cases of complication,there is a very high *** most common cause of HAP is iatrogenic trauma such as liver biopsy,transhepatic biliary drainage,cholecystectomy and *** may also occur with complications such as infections or inflammation associated with septic *** has been reported rarely in patients with acute *** far as we are aware,there is no report of a case caused by acute idiopathic pancreatitis,*** report a case of HAP caused by acute idiopathic pancreatitis which developed in a 61-year-old *** woman initially presented with acute pancreatitis due to unknown *** conservative management,her symptoms seemed to have *** eight days after admission,abdominal pain abruptly became worse *** computed tomography(CT) was rechecked and it detected a new HAP that was not seen in a previous abdominal *** retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) was performed because of a suspicion of hemobilia as a cause of aggravated abdominal *** confirmed hemobilia by observing fresh blood clots at the opening of the ampulla and several filling defects in the distal common bile duct on *** any particular treatment such as embolization or surgical ligation,HAP thrombosed *** months after discharge,abdominal CT demonstrated that HAP in the left lateral segment had disappeared.

Herein,we examine the performance of dye-sensitized solar cells containing five D-π-A organic dyes designed by systematic modification of π-bridge size and geometric *** dye has a simple push-pull structure with a triarylamino group as an electron donor,bithiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta 1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M11),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophenethiophene(M12),thiophene-4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M13),4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene-benzene(M14),and 4,4-dimethyl-4 H-cyclopenta[1,2-b:5,4-b’]dithiophene(M15)units asπ-bridges,and cyanoacrylic acid as an electron acceptor/*** extension of theπ-bridge linkage favors wide-range absorption but,because of the concomitant molecular volume increase,hinders the efficient adsorption of dyes on the TiO_(2) film ***,higher loadings are achieved for smaller dye molecules,resulting in(i)a shift of the TiO_(2) conduction band edge to more negative values,(ii)a greater photocurrent,and(iii)suppressed charge recombination between the photoanode and the redox couple in the ***,under one-sun equivalent illumination(AM 1.5 G,100 mW/cm^(2)),the highest photovoltage,photocurrent,and conversion efficiency(η=7.19%)are observed for M15,which has the smallest molecular volume among M series dyes.

Comparison and Analysis of QTLs, Epistatic Effects and QTLx Environment Interactions for Yield Traits Using DH and RILs Populations in Rice

Two genetic linkage maps, constructed by DH and RILs populations derived from the same parents, were carried out for the identification and comparison of QTLs controlling yield traits across different years in rice （Oryza sativa L.）. A total of 194 SSR and STS markers were used in two maps, of which 114 markers were same. The distribution of Samgang allele was higher in RILs population than it in DH population. Comparing with DH population, RILs population has more lines with higher yield and wider phenotypic transgressive segression for yield traits. Although most of QTLs for the same trait were different in two populations across different years, 8 QTLs （including gwp 11.1, spp5.1, spp 10.1, spp 11.2, ssrl. 1, ssrl 1.1, tgw9.1 and tgwl 1.1） were detected over 2 yr. It is important to note that pppl0.1, sppl0.1 and tgw9.1 were identified in two populations, while sppl 0.1 and tgw9.1 were simultaneity observed across different years. Epistatic effects were more important than additive effects for PPP, SPP, yield in DH population and TGW, yield in R/Ls population. Epistatic effects of DH and RILs populations were different on the same genetic background in the present study, which illuminated the QE interaction played an important role on epistatic effect. Identification and comparison of QTLs for yield traits in DH and RILs populations should provide various and more precise information. The QTLs identified in present study would be valuable in marker-assisted selection program for improving rice yield.

A complete control type plant factory has high efficiency in terms of cultivation area by constructing vertical multiple layered cultivation ***,it has a problem of irregular crop growth due to temperature deviation at upper and lower beds and increases in energy consumption by a prolonged cultivation *** this work,air flow rate inside a facility was improved by a hybrid control of air flow devices like air conditioning and air circulation fan with an established wireless sensor network to minimize temperature deviations between upper and lower beds and to promote crop *** performance of proposed system was verified with an experimental environment or Case A wherein air conditioning device was operated without a control algorithm and Case B wherein air conditioning and circulation fans were alternatively operated based on the hybrid control *** planting leafy vegetables under each experimental condition,crops were cultivated for 21 *** a result,Case B wherein AC(air conditioning) and ACF(air-circulation fan) were alternatively operated based on the hybrid control algorithm showed that fresh mass,number of leaves,and leaf length for the crops grown were increased by 40.6%,41.1%,and 11.1%,respectively,compared to Case A.

Observational analysis shows that there is a predominant global-scale multidecadal variability(GMV) of sea-surface temperature(SST). Its horizontal pattern resembles that of the interdecadal Pacific oscillation(IPO) in the Pacific and the Atlantic multidecadal oscillation(AMO) in the Atlantic Ocean, which could affect global precipitation and temperature over the globe. Here, we demonstrate that the GMV could be driven by the AMO through atmospheric teleconnections and atmosphere–ocean coupling *** reveal a strong negative correlation when AMO leads GMV by approximately 4–8 *** experiments using a climate model driven by observed AMO signals reveal that the tropical Atlantic warm SST anomalies of AMO initiate anomalous cooling in the equatorial central-eastern Pacific through atmospheric teleconnections. Anticyclonic anomalies in the North and South Pacific induce equatorward winds along the coasts of North and South America, contributing to further cooling. The upper-ocean dynamics plays a minor role in GMV formation but contributes to a delayed response of the IPO to the AMO forcing. The possible impact of the GMV on AMO was also tested by prescribing only Pacific SST in the model; however, the model could not reproduce the observed phase relationship between the AMO and the GMV. These results support the hypothesis that the Atlantic Ocean plays a key role in the multidecadal variability of global SST.

Gastric cancer is the second leading cause of cancerrelated deaths *** cytotoxic chemotherapy has limited efficacy for metastatic gastric cancer,with an overall survival of approximately ten *** advances in high-throughput technologies have enabled the implementation of personalized cancer therapy for high-risk *** use of such high-throughput technologies,including microarray and next generation sequencing,have promoted the discovery of novel targets that offer new treatment strategies for patients lacking other therapeutic *** molecular pathways are currently under investigation as therapeutic targets in gastric cancer,including those related to the epidermal growth factor receptor family,the mesenchymal-epithelial transition factor axis,and the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase-AKTmammalian target of rapamycin *** in molecular diagnostic tools further support the discovery of new molecular *** exist,however;not all patients can be tested for biomarkers,and numerous challenges hamper implementation of targeted therapy in clinical ***,the scale of tumor genomic profiling is rapidly outpacing our ability to appropriately synthesize all the information in order to optimally refine patient ***,clinicians must continue to educate themselves regarding new tools and frameworks,and to utilize multidisciplinary team science,comprised of oncologists,geneticists,pathologists,biologists and bioinformaticians,to successfully implement this genomic approach therapeutically.

Objective:Benefits of adjuvant treatment in pT1 N1 gastric cancer(GC)remain ***,an effective biomarker for early GC is the need of the *** prognostic and predictive roles of single patient classifier(SPC)were validated in stageⅡ/Ⅲ*** this study,we aimed to elucidate the role of SPC as a biomarker for pT1 N1 ***:The present retrospective biomarker study(NCT03485105)enrolled patients treated for pT1 N1 GC between 1996 and 2012 from two large hospitals(the Y cohort and S cohort).For SPC,mRNA expression of four classifier genes(GZMB,WARS,SFRP4 and CDX1)were evaluated by real-time reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction *** SPC was revised targeting pT1 stages and the prognosis was stratified as high-and lowrisk group by the expression of SFRP4,a representative epithelial-mesenchymal transition ***:SPC was evaluated in 875 patients(n=391 and 484 in the Y and S cohorts,respectively).Among 864 patients whose SPC result was available,41(4.7%)patients experience GC *** to revised SPC,254(29.4%)patients were classified as high risk[123(31.5%)and 131(27.1%)in the Y and S cohorts,respectively].The high risk was related to frequent recurrence in both Y and S cohort(log-rank P=0.023,P<0.001,respectively),while there was no difference by GZMB and WARS *** analyses of the overall-cohort confirmed the high risk of revised SPC as a significant prognostic factor[hazard ratio(HR):4.402(2.293-8.449),P<0.001]of GC.A significant difference was not detected by SPC in the prognosis of patients in the presence and absence of adjuvant treatment(log-rank P=0.670).Conclusions:The present study revealed the revised SPC as a prognostic biomarker of pT1 N1 GC and suggested the use of the revised SPC for early-stage GC as like stageⅡ/Ⅲ.

A rod-rod diblock copolymer (diBCP), poly(3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(furfuryl isocyanate)(P3HT-b-PFIC), was synthesized through the anionic polymerization with an oxyanionic macroinitiator of P3HT. The properties of the diBCP (molecular weight, dispersity, composition, thermal stability, UV-visible absorption, and thin film morphology) were determined by various analytical methods. P3HT-b-PFIC was blended with C60 in a toluene solution to prepare a thin film of binary electron donor/acceptor system. Such blending enabled partial conjugation of the two components by the Diels-Alder reaction between furan and C60 at 60℃ for 3 h;the mixture was then spin-cast as a thin film, and annealed at 250℃ for 24 h. Tapping-mode atomic force microscopy (AFM) revealed that P3HT and C60 domains had nanoscale interfaces without a large phase segregation. This result indicated that the microphase separation of C60-functionalized P3HT-b-PFIC preserved even at high temperature provided free C60 molecules with channels to diffuse on the sides of P3HT domain, thus preventing the macroscopic crystallization of free C60 through the interfacial stabilization.
