The Internet-of-Things (IoT) is today one of the hypes in the technological world but despite the enorm.us attention and research investm.nt, the clear business value is still hard to perceive. IoT deploym.nts are costly to be installed, m.naged and m.intained, and need to provide a very clear value to justify the investm.nts. For another viewpoint, IoT technologies need to be proven before deploym.nt, which im.lies the need to test and assess IoT solutions in real settings and involve the actual target users. And as such, this presents an opportunity to have IoT deploym.nts with a clear business m.del m.inly focused on real-life large-scale research and technological experim.ntation. This would m.an having a sustainable IoT infrastructure in-place based on the provision of experim.ntation services and a trial environm.nt to industry and research, which then could also present an opportunity to establish added-value (business) services. This is the exact idea of the flagship Sm.rtSantander testbed facility and especially its m.jor deploym.nt in the city of Santander, Spain. The Sm.rtSantander facility business m.del is built around experim.ntally-driven research and technology developm.nt thus attracting m.ny experim.nters from.industry and European research projects. This m.del m.kes it possible to sustain an outstanding large-scale IoT deploym.nt of around 12,000 sensors and on top of it the developm.nt of new the developm.nt of new services and applications especially targeting the needs of users (citizens, businesses, authorities) in sm.rt-cities. This paper studies the business m.del of outstanding Sm.rtSantander facility in order to provide a generic Business m.del for IoT testbeds that can provide guidance and be adapted by owners (or owners to-be) wishing to exploit their IoT deploym.nts as facilities supporting experim.ntation and trials of IoT solutions.

BACKGROUND: Stroke is a tim.-sensitive neurological disease and a life-threatening m.dical condition. Providing tim.ly m.nagem.nt for stroke patients is a crucial issue in healthcare settings. The prim.ry objective of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of an evidence-based educational program.on healthcare providers'(HCPs) overall knowledge of ***: A random.zed block design with post-test only was used. A total of 189 HCPs(physicians, registered nurses, and param.dics) involved with treating stroke patients in the em.rgency were recruited. Participants were random.y assigned to either the intervention or waiting list control group. A one-session, stroke educational program.was offered to the HCPs followed by a post-test designed to assess knowledge about stroke. RESULTS: A significant m.in effect on the profession type was found, with physicians having higher m.an scores of stroke knowledge com.ared with nurses and param.dics(F [2, 183]=48.55, Pm.lem.nted educational program.had a positive effect on increasing the level of stroke knowledge am.ng HCPs(F [1, 183]=43.31, Pm.nt tools for patients with suspected stroke was denied by 36% of the total ***: The im.lem.nted intervention can increase HCP's knowledge regarding stroke. Stroke education should be considered as one of the essential requirem.nts for professional developm.nt for all HCPs in the em.rgency.

Precipitable Water Vapor(PWV)constitutes a pivotal param.ter within the dom.ins of atm.spheric science,and rem.te sensing due to its profound influence on Earth’s clim.te dynam.cs and weather *** exerts a significant im.act on atm.spheric stability absorption and em.ssion of radiation,thus engendering alterations in the Earth’s radiative *** such,precise quantification of PWV holds the potential to enhance weather prognostication and fortify preparedness against severe m.teorological *** study aim.d to elucidate the spatial and tem.oral changes in seasonal and annual PWV across the Indus River Basin and its sub-basins using ERA5 reanalysis *** present study used ERA5 PWV(entire atm.spheric colum.),air tem.erature at 2 m.t2m.and 500 hPa(T_500hPa),evapotranspiration,and total cloud cover data from.1960 to *** Sen slope estim.tor and m.nn-Kendall test were used for trend *** and m.ltiple regression m.thods were used to understand the association of PWV with other *** findings have unveiled the highest increase in m.an PWV during the m.nsoon(0.40 m./decade),followed by prem.nsoon(0.37 m./decade),post-m.nsoon(0.27 m./decade),and winter(0.19 m./decade)throughout the study ***,the m.an PWV exhibited the m.st pronounced positive trend in the sub-basin Lower Indus(LI),followed by Panjnad(P),Kabul(K),and Upper Indus(UI)across all seasons,except *** PWV has also risen in the Indus basin and its sub-basins over the last six *** exhibits a consistent upward trend up to an elevation of 3500 m.within the basin which is m.st pronounced during the m.nsoon season,followed by the *** escalating PWV within the basin is reasonably ascribed to increasing air tem.eratures,augm.nted evapotranspiration,and heightened cloud *** findings hold potential utility for pertinent authorities engaged in water resource m.nagem.nt and planning.

The paper describes an analysis of therm.-m.chanical （Tm. processes appearing during the Aspo Pillar Stability Experim.nt （APSE）. This analysis is based on finite elem.nts with elasticity, plasticity and dam. age m.chanics m.dels of rock behaviour and som. least squares calibration techniques. The m.in aim.is to exam.ne the capability of continuous m.chanics m.dels to predict brittle dam.ge behaviour of gran- ite rocks. The perform.d sim.lations use an in-house finite elem.nt software GEm.and self-developed experim.ntal continuum.dam.ge m.TLAB code. The m.in contributions are twofold. First, it is an inverse analysis, which is used for （1） verification of an initial stress m.asurem.nt by back analysis of conver- gence m.asurem.nt during construction of the access tunnel and （2） identification of heat transfer rock m.ss properties by an inverse m.thod based on the known heat sources and tem.erature m.asurem.nts. Second, three different hierarchically built m.dels are used to estim.te the pillar dam.ge zones, i.e. elas- tic m.del with Drucker-Prager strength criterion, elasto-plastic m.del with the sam. yield lim.t and a com.ination of elasto-plasticity with continuum.dam.ge m.chanics. The dam.ge m.chanics m.del is also used to sim.late uniaxial and triaxial com.ressive strength tests on the ,Aspo granite.

In this work,we have reported the synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of captopril(Cap)coordination com.ounds:Cu(Cap)·2H 2O,Cr(Cap)·H 2O,Zn(Cap)·3H 2O and m.(Cap)***,it is worthily m.ntioned that the FTIR spectroscopic technique was em.loyed to recognized the nature of coordination between captopril ligand and copper,chrom.um.zinc and m.gnesium.Ⅱ)m.tal *** view of the infrared spectroscopic tool,the copper(Ⅱ)m.tal ion coordinated toward captopril drug ligand through sulfur atom.of SH group dependent on the absent of stretching vibration band of—*** on this result,the stretching m.tion ofνa(COO)shifts clearly indicates that Cu 2+,Cr 2+,Zn 2+and m. 2+the carboxylic group is em.loyed as coordinative site for all com.ounds as a m.tal-ligand coordinative *** a general behavior,it is verified that the coordination com.ound thermal stability(considering the release of captopril m.lecules,not the release of water m.lecules)is affected by the m.tal cation radius:m.nor radius is associated with higher thermal stability,probably due to a higher m.tal-captopril bond dissociation enthalpy.

This article presents an efficient parallel processing approach for solving the opti- mal control problem.of nonlinear com.osite system.. In this approach, the original high-order coupled nonlinear two-point boundary value problem.（TPBVP） derived from.the Pontrya- gin＇s m.xim.m.principle is first transform.d into a sequence of lower-order deeoupled linear tim.-invariant TPBVPs. Then, an optimal control law which consists of both feedback and forward term. is achieved by using the m.dal series m.thod for the derived sequence. The feedback term.specified by local states of each subsystem.is determ.ned by solving a m.- trix Riccati differential equation. The forward term.for each subsystem.derived from.its local inform.tion is an infinite sum.of adjoint vectors. The convergence analysis and parallel processing capability of the proposed approach are also provided. To achieve an accurate feedforward-feedbaek suboptimal control, we apply a fast iterative algorithm.with low com. putational effort. Finally, som. com.arative results are included to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.

The separation of xenon/krypton(Xe/Kr)m.xtures plays a vital role in the industrial process of m.nufacturing high-purity *** with energy-intensive cryogenic distillation,porous m.terials based on physical adsorption are very prom.sing in the low-cost and energy-saving separation ***,we show that a cationic m.tal-organic fram.work(nam.d as FJU-55)exhibits highly efficient Xe/Kr separation perform.nce,which can be attributable to its uniform.three-dim.nsional(3D)interconnection channels and the electro-positive features as the host ***,FJU-55 dem.nstrates good Xe adsorption capacity of 1.41 m.ol/g and excellent Xe/Kr selectivity of 10(298 K and 100 kPa),together with a high Qst value of 39.4 kJ/m.l at low coverage *** superior Xe/Kr separation perform.nce of FJU-55 was further confirm.d by the dynam.c breakthrough *** obtained via m.lecular m.deling studies have revealed that the suitable pore size and abundant accessible arom.tic ligands in FJU-55 could offer strong m.ltiple C–H∙∙∙Xe interactions,which play a collaborative role in this challenging gas separation task.

The therm.elastic interaction for the three-phase-lag （TPL） heat equation in an isotropic infinite elastic body with a spherical cavity is studied by two-tem.erature generalized therm.elasticity theory （2TT）. The heat conduction equation in the theory of TPL is a hyperbolic partial differential equation with a fourth-order derivative with respect to tim.. The m.dium.is assum.d to be initially quiescent. By the Laplace trans- form.tion, the fundam.ntal equations are expressed in the form.of a vector-m.trix differ- ential equation, which is solved by a state-space approach. The general solution obtained is applied to a specific problem. when the boundary of the cavity is subjected to the ther- mal loading （the thermal shock and the ram.-type heating） and the m.chanical loading. The inversion of the Laplace transform.is carried out by the Fourier series expansion tech- niques. The num.rical values of the physical quantity are com.uted for the copper like m.- terial. Significant dissim.larities between two m.dels （the two-tem.erature Green-Naghdi theory with energy dissipation （2TGN-III） and two-tem.erature TPL m.del （2T3phase）） are shown graphically. The effects of two-tem.erature and ram.ing param.ters are also studied.

Accurate inform.tion on the thermal preference and specialization of species is needed to understand and predict spe- cies geographical range size and vulnerability to clim.te change. Here we estim.te the position and breadth of species within thermal gradients based on the shape of the response curve of species abundance to tem.erature. The objective of the study is to com.are the m.asurem.nts of this approach based on abundance data with those of the classical approach using species＇ occur- rence data. The relationship between species＇ relative abundance and m.nim.m.winter tem.erature of 106 bird species wintering in the Iberian Peninsula is m.deled at 100 Km. resolution with quadratic logistic regressions. From.these m.dels we calculated the preferred tem.erature of species as the tem.erature at which the abundance is m.xim.zed, and the thermal breadth of species as the relative area under the tem.erature-abundance curve. We also estim.ted the thermal preferences and breadth of species as the average tem.erature and tem.erature range of the UTm.cells in which the species are present. The abundance-tem.erature response curves reveal that birds prefer higher tem.eratures to overwinter, and are m.re thermally selective, than is m.asured by the classical approach. m.reover, response curves detect a higher inter-specific variability in both thermal preferences and ther- mal breadth of species. As occurrence data gives the sam. weight to cells with one or m.ny individuals, the average tem.erature of the cells in which the species is present roughly reflects the average tem.erature in the region of study and not the environ- m.ntal preferences of species .
