Scaffold proteins are crucial regulators of signaling networks,and their abnormal expression may favor the development of *** the scaffold proteins,immunophilin covers a unique role as‘protein-philin’(Greek‘philin’=friend)that interacts with proteins to guide their proper *** growing list of human syndromes associated with the immunophilin defect underscores the biological relevance of these proteins that are largely opportunistically exploited by cancer cells to support and enable the tumor’s intrinsic *** the members of the immunophilin family,the FKBP5 gene was the only one identified to have a splicing *** cells impose unique demands on the splicing machinery,thus acquiring a particular susceptibility to splicing *** review article aims to overview the current knowledge of the FKBP5 gene functions in human cancer,illustrating how cancer cells exploit the scaffolding function of canonical FKBP51 to foster signaling networks that support their intrinsic tumor properties and the spliced FKBP51s to gain the capacity to evade the immune system.

Background:Inflammatory bowel diseases(IBDs)are a group of chronic diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract,with a disabling *** incidence of IBDs is increasing in different geographical areas,indicating its emergence as a global disease,especially in *** patients with IBDs develop extraintestinal manifestations(EIMs)during follow-up,as IBDs have a potential risk of systemic involvement..Data sources:A systematic review of the literature was made to analyze latest studies on pancreatic involvement in children with IBD including our experience in assessing possible implications and its future ***:The involvement of the hepatobiliary system is considered a rare EIM of children with IBD,with an incidence much higher than that in the general *** pancreatic hyperenzymemia,which occurs in the absence of typical symptoms and/or characteristic imaging findings,may be found in many patients with *** frequent causes of pancreatitis are drugs,bilio-pancreatic disorders,immunologic disturbances and pancreatic auto-antibodies,although in some cases idiopathic forms have been ***:It is important to establish a correct diagnostic approach based on etiology and to assess the most appropriate therapeutic strategy,thus avoiding complications and improving the quality of life of children with IBD.
