Chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection,which threatens global public health,is a major contributor to liver-related morbidity and *** for liver diseases related to chronic HBV infection-including laboratory tests,ultrasounds,computed tomography(CT),and liver biopsies-may take up medical resources,particularly since they overlap in most ***,there is an urgent need to establish an economical and effective diagnosis method in order to streamline the medical process for HBV-related disea *** complex network models constructed based on clinical blood tests,we provide such a method by defining the novel measure of functional resilience to assess patients’liver *** combining network models and dynamics,we discovered the pivotal items and their corresponding thresholds,which can guide further research on preventing disease deterioration in critical states of these *** macro-averaged precision of our method,functional resilience,is84.74%,whereas the macro-averaged precision of physicians’experience without assistance from imaging or biopsy is 55.63%.From an economic perspective,our approach could save the equivalent of at least30 USD per visit for most Chinese patients and at least 400 USD per visit for most US patients,compared with general diagnostic ***,this will add to savings of at least 10.5 billion USD *** method can comprehensively evaluate the condition of patients’livers and help avert the waste of medical resources during the diagnosis of liver disease by reducing excessive imaging exams.

Learning Bayesian network structure with immune algorithm

Finding out reasonable structures from bulky data is one of the difficulties in modeling of Bayesian network （BN）, which is also necessary in promoting the application of BN. This pa- per proposes an immune algorithm based method （BN-IA） for the learning of the BN structure with the idea of vaccination. Further- more, the methods on how to extract the effective vaccines from local optimal structure and root nodes are also described in details. Finally, the simulation studies are implemented with the helicopter convertor BN model and the car start BN model. The comparison results show that the proposed vaccines and the BN-IA can learn the BN structure effectively and efficiently.

Integrated importance measure for multi-state coherent systems of k level

To verify the effectiveness of the integrated importance measure （IIM） for multi-state coherent systems of k level, the definition and physical meaning of IIM are demonstrated. Then, the improvement potential and Δ-importance measures are generalized to multi-state coherent systems based on the system performance level, and the relationships between IIM and traditional importance measures are discussed. The characteristics of IIM are demonstrated in both series and parallel systems. Also, an application to an oil transportation system is given. The comparison results show that：（i） IIM has some useful properties that are not possessed by traditional importance measures; （ii） IIM is effective in evaluating the component role in multi-state systems when the component reliability and the failure rate are simultaneously considered.

Importance measure of system reliability upgrade for multi-state consecutive k-out-of-n systems

Importance measures in reliability systems are used to identify weak components in contributing to a proper function of the system. Traditional importance measures mainly concerned the changing value of the system reliability caused by the change of the reliability of the component, and seldom considered the joint effect of the probability distribution, improvement rate of the object component. This paper studies the rate of the system reliability upgrading with an improvement of the component reliability for the multi-state consecutive k-out-of-n system. To verify the multi-state consecutive k-out-of-n system reliability upgrading by improving one component based on its improvement rate, an increasing potential importance （IPI） and its physical meaning are described at first. Secondly, the relationship between the IPI and Birnbaum importance measures are discussed. And the IPI for some different improvement actions of the component is further discussed. Thirdly, the characteristics of the IPI are analyzed. Finally, an application to an oil pipeline system is given.

Performance Measures for Systems Under Multiple Environments

In this paper, the system which operates in multiple environments is studied. The environment process is governed by a Markov process, and the deterioration process is governed by another Markov process given the system in a certain environment. In terms of the above two processes, a new Markov process is constructed to represent the evolution of the system. In terms of Ion-Channel modeling theory, Markov process theory and matrix partition method, some reliability indexes for the system are obtained, i.e., system reliability, environment reliability, system multiple-interval reliability, system availability, environment availability, system multiple-point availability, etc. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the results obtained in the paper. © 2014 Chinese Association of Automation.

Fractional core-based collapse mechanism and structural optimization in complex systems

Catastrophic and major disasters in real-world systems ranging from financial markets and ecosystems, often show generic early-warning signals that may indicate a collapse. Hence, understanding the collapse mechanism of a complex network and predicting its process are of uttermost importance. However, these challenges are often hindered by the extremely high dimensionality of the underlying *** present here the concept of the fractional core(F-core) that considers the contribution of the network topology and dynamics to systematically analyze the collapse process in such networks, and encompass a broad range of dynamical systems, from mutualistic ecosystems to regulatory dynamics. We offer testable predictions on the tipping point, and, in particular, prove that the extinction of the maximum F-core of a network is an efficient indicator of whether a system completely collapses. The results show that the death of species or cells in a low-order F-core may improve the average density and have little influence on the tipping point. Generally, the principle of the F-core demonstrates how complex systems collapse and opens an innovative optimization strategy to uncover the optimal structure of systems.

The linear consecutive-k-out-of-n:failure(good)(Lin/Con/k/n:F(G))system consists of n interchangeable components that have different *** components are arranged in a line path and different component assignments change the system *** optimization of Lin/Con/k/n:F(G)system is to find an optimal component assignment to maximize the system *** the number of components increases,the computation time for this problem increases *** this paper,we propose a Birnbaum importance-based ant colony optimization(BIACO)algorithm to obtain quasi optimal assignments for such *** compare its performance using the Birnbaum importance based two-stage approach(BITA)and Birnbaum importancebased genetic local search(BIGLS)algorithm from previous *** experimental results show that the BIACO algorithm has a good performance in the optimization of Lin/Con/k/n:F(G)system.

To identify the unstable individuals of networks is of great importance for information mining and security *** a broad range of steady-state dynamical processes including biochemical dynamics,epidemic processes,birth-death processes and regulatory dynamics,we propose a new index from the microscopic perspective to measure the stability of network nodes based on the local correlation *** proposed index describes the stability of each node based on the activity change of the node after its neighbor is *** and comparison results show our index can identify the most unstable nodes in the network with various dynamical behaviors,which would actually create a richer way and a novel insight of exploring the problem of network controlling and optimization.

Reliability Analysis of Systems with Common Cause Failure Based on Stress-Strength Interference Model

Many mechanical systems have the characteristics of multiple failure modes and complex failure mech- anisms. On the basis of stress-strength interference （Ssi） model, this paper takes the mechanical system with common cause failure （CCF） as the research object. The relationship between the stress distribution and the strength distribution is studied, and the failures of components are independent of each other under the determin- istic stress. Then, the concept of conditional reliability is introduced to build the system reliability models under the action of one-stress and multi-stress for both series and parallel systems. Finally, the corresponding properties of the DrODosed methods are discussed to show their advantages.
