Local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene

We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson *** the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r^(-2) in real space in the doping ***,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as r^(-3).Such spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin ***,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment(***ález-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437(2016)).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase ***,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states(FT-LDOS).Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.

High-Mountain Asia(HMA)is an important source of freshwater since it holds the largest reservoir of frozen water outside the polar *** feeds ten great rivers,ultimately supporting more than 2 billion ***,the threat of accelerated glacier melt,which is a consequence of unprecedented global warming since the early 1950s,threatens water resources in the surrounding *** predictions of the near-term temperature change and synergistic mass loss of glaciers are essential but challenging to implement because of the impacts of internal climate ***,based on large ensembles of state-of-the-art decadal climate prediction experiments,we provide evidence that the internally generated surface air temperature variations in HMA can be predicted multiple years in advance,and the model initialization has robust added value to the decadal prediction ***-time decadal forecasts suggest that the HMA will experience accelerated warming in 2025-2032,where the surface warming will increase by 0.98°C(0.67 to 1.33°C;5%to 95%range)relative to the reference period 1991-2020,which is equivalent to 1.75 times the observed warming during *** decadal predictability originates from extratropical Pacific decadal variability modes,which modulate the convective heating in the tropical Pacific and influence HMA via the eastward-propagating atmospheric Kelvin *** warming in the coming decade will likely increase the shrinkage of the glacier volume over the HMA by 1.4%.This change poses unprecedented challenges,including potential water scarcity,ecosystem disruption,and increased risk of natural disasters,to HMA and surrounding regions.

The preparation of carbon-based electromagnetic wave(EMW)absorbers possessing thin matching thickness,wide absorption bandwidth,strong absorption intensity,and low filling ratio remains a huge ***-organic frameworks(MOFs)are ideal self-sacrificing templates for the construction of carbon-based EMW *** this work,bimetallic FeMn-MOF-derived MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites were fabricated via a two-step route of solvothermal reaction and the following pyrolysis *** results re-veal the evolution of the microscopic morphology of carbon skeletons from loofah-like to octahedral and then to polyhedron and pomegran-ate after the adjustment of the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ***,at the Fe^(3+)to Mn^(2+)molar ratio of 2:1,the obtained MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composite exhibited the highest EMW absorption ***,a minimum reflection loss of-72.7 dB and a max-imum effective absorption bandwidth of 5.1 GHz were achieved at a low filling ratio of 10wt%.In addition,the possible EMW absorp-tion mechanism of MnFe_(2)O_(4)/C/graphene composites was ***,the results of this work will contribute to the construction of broadband and efficient carbon-based EMW absorbers derived from MOFs.

As a category of recurrent neural networks, echo state networks(ESNs) have been the topic of in-depth investigations and extensive applications in a diverse array of fields, with spectacular triumphs achieved. Nevertheless, the traditional ESN and the majority of its variants are devised in the light of the second-order statistical information of data(e.g., variance and covariance), while more information is neglected. In the context of information theoretic learning, correntropy demonstrates the capacity to grab more information from data. Therefore, under the guidelines of the maximum correntropy criterion, this paper proposes a correntropy-based echo state network(CESN) in which the first-order and higher-order information of data is captured, promoting robustness to noise. Furthermore, an incremental learning algorithm for the CESN is presented, which has the expertise to update the CESN when new data arrives, eliminating the need to retrain the network from scratch. Finally, experiments on benchmark problems and comparisons with existing works are provided to verify the effectiveness and superiority of the proposed CESN.

Distributed Observer for Full-Measured Nonlinear Systems Based on Knowledge of FMCF

Driven by practical applications, the achievement of distributed observers for nonlinear systems has emerged as a crucial advancement in recent years. However, existing theoretical advancements face certain limitations: They either fail to address more complex nonlinear phenomena, rely on hard-to-verify assumptions, or encounter difficulties in solving system ***, this paper aims to address these challenges by investigating distributed observers for nonlinear systems through the full-measured canonical form(FMCF), which is inspired by full-measured system(FMS) theory. To begin with, this study addresses the fact that the FMCF can only be obtained through the observable canonical form(OCF) in existing FMS *** paper demonstrates that a class of nonlinear systems can directly obtain FMCF through state space equations, independent of OCF. Also, a general method for solving FMCF in such systems is provided. Furthermore, based on the FMCF, A distributed observer is developed for nonlinear systems under two scenarios: Lipschitz conditions and open-loop bounded *** paper establishes their asymptotic omniscience and demonstrates that the designed distributed observer in this study has fewer design parameters and is more convenient to construct than existing approaches. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed methods is validated through simulation results on Van der Pol oscillators and microgrid systems.

Enhancing the concentration of exogenous molecular drugs within the tumor microenvironment through enzyme-catalyzed polymerization presents a novel strategy for cancer ***,the optimization of the catalytic efficiency is often impeded by the inefficient expression of ***,we reported a self-amplifying fluorescent molecular probe,Bis-HTPICG,for photodynamic therapy(PDT)and subsequent PDT-induced *** Bis-HTP-ICG probe possesses a noticeable enzyme-catalyzed polymerization facilitated by myeloperoxidase(MPO),a crucial enzyme secreted by neutrophils at inflammation *** exposure to laser irradiation,Bis-HTP-ICG showed a high PDT efficacy,inducing an acute inflammatory response that stimulates further recruitment of neutrophils and then elevated MPO *** heightened level of MPO enhances the accumulation of the Bis-HTP-ICG via self-polymerization or binding with intratumoral proteins following MPO enzyme catalysis,instigating a self-amplifying chain reaction cycle involving Bis-HTP-ICG,neutrophils and ***,PDT efficiently incites immunogenic cell death(ICD)in tumor cells,initiating an anti-tumor immune response including dendritic cells(DCs)maturation,T cell proliferation and reprogramming of tumor-associated neutrophils(TANs).This work portrays a promising strategy for self-amplification of fluorescent molecular probes through adjustable enzyme levels,potentially offering a unique avenue to enhance the tumor accumulation of molecular drugs for improved tumor therapy.

Efficient catalysis of FeNiCu-based multi-site alloys on magnesium-hydride for solid-state hydrogen storage

Hydrogen,as a cheap,clean,and cost-effective secondary energy source,performs an essential role in optimizing today’s energy *** hydride(Mg H_(2))represents an attractive hydrogen carrier for storage and transportation,however,the kinetic behavior and operating temperature remain *** this work,a dual-phase multi-site alloy(Ms A)anchored on carbon substrates was designed,and its superior catalytic effects on the hydrogen storage properties of MgH_(2) were *** analysis identified that multi-site Fe Ni_(3)/Ni Cu nanoalloys synergistically served as intrinsic drivers for the striking de/hydrogenation performance of the MgH_(2)-Ms A ***,the unique multi-metallic site structure attached to the surface of MgH_(2)provided substantial reversible channels and accessible active sites conducive to the adsorption,activation,and nucleation of H *** addition,the coupling system formed by FeNi_(3) and NiCu dual-phase alloys further enhanced the reactivity between Mg/MgH_(2) and H ***,the onset dehydrogenation temperature of Mg H_(2)+5 wt%Ms A was reduced to 195℃ and the hydrogen desorption apparent activation energy was reduced to 83.6 k J/mol.5.08 wt%H_(2) could be released at 250℃ in 20 min,reaching a high dehydrogenation rate of 0.254 wt%H_(2)/min,yet that for MgH_(2) at a higher temperature of 335℃ was only 0.145 wt%H_(2)/***,the dehydrogenated Mg H_(2)-Ms A sample could absorb hydrogen from room temperature(30℃)and charge 3.93 wt%H_(2) at 100℃ within20 min under 3.0 MPa H_(2) *** from carbon substrates,the 5 wt%Ms A doped-MgH_(2) could still maintain 6.36 wt%hydrogen capacity after 20 *** conclusion,this work provides experimental rationale and new insights for the design of efficient catalysts for magnesium-based solid-state hydrogen storage materials.

How sediment dredging alters phosphorus dynamics in a lowland rural river?

China’s lowland rural rivers are facing severe eutrophication problems due to excessive phosphorus(P)from anthropogenic ***,quantifying P dynamics in a lowland rural river is challenging due to its complex interaction with surrounding areas.A P dynamic model(River-P)was specifically designed for lowland rural rivers to address this *** modelwas coupled with the Environmental Fluid Dynamics Code(EFDC)and the Phosphorus Dynamic Model for lowland Polder systems(PDP)to characterize P dynamics under the impact of dredging in a lowland rural *** on a two-year(2020-2021)dataset from a representative lowland rural river in the Lake Taihu Basin,China,the coupled model was calibrated and achieved a model performance(R^(2)>0.59,RMSE<0.04 mg/L)for total P(TP)*** research in the study river revealed that(1)the time scale for the effectiveness of sediment dredging for P control was~300 days,with an increase in P retention capacity by 74.8 kg/year and a decrease in TP concentrations of 23%after dredging.(2)Dredging significantly reduced P release from sediment by 98%,while increased P resuspension and settling capacities by 16%and 46%,respectively.(3)The sediment-water interface(SWI)plays a critical role in P transfer within the river,as resuspension accounts for 16%of TP imports,and settling accounts for 47%of TP *** the large P retention capacity of lowland rural rivers,drainage ditches and ponds with macrophytes are promising approaches to enhance P retention *** study provides valuable insights for local environmental departments,allowing a comprehensive understanding of P dynamics in lowland rural *** enable the evaluation of the efficacy of sediment dredging in P control and the implementation of corresponding P control measures.
