A key characteristic to be elucidated,to address the harmful health risks of environmental perfluorinated alkyl substances(PFAS),is their binding modes to serum albumin,the most abundant protein in *** oxide-dimer acid(GenX or HFPO-DA)is a new industrial replacement for the widespread linear long-chain ***,the detailed interaction of new-generation short-chain PFAS with albumin is still ***,the binding characteristics of bovine serum albumin(BSA)to GenX were explored at the molecular and cellular *** found that this branched short-chain GenX could bind to BSA with affinity lower than that of legacy linear long-chain perfluorooctanoic acid(PFOA).Site marker competitive study and molecular docking simulation revealed that GenX interacted with subdomain IIIA to form BSA-GenX *** with its weaker affinity to albumin protein,the cytotoxicity of branched short-chain GenX was less susceptible to BSA binding compared with that of the linear long-chain *** contrast to the significant effects of strong BSA-PFOA interaction,the weak affinity of BSA-GenX binding did not influence the structure of protein and the cytotoxicity of *** detailed characterization and direct comparisons of serum albumin interaction with new generation short-chain GenX will provide a better understanding for the toxicological properties of this new alternative.

A robust Reynolds-Averaged Navier-Stokes(RANS)based solver is established to predict the complex unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of the Active Flap Control(AFC)*** complex motion with multiple degrees of freedom of the Trailing Edge Flap(TEF)is analyzed by employing an inverse nested overset grid *** of non-rotational and rotational modes of blade motion are carried out to investigate the formation and development of TEF shedding vortex with high-frequency deflection of ***,the mechanism of TEF deflection interference with blade tip vortex and overall rotor aerodynamics is also *** nonrotational mode,two bundles of vortices form at the gap ends of TEF and the main blade and merge into a single TEF *** deflection of the TEF significantly interferes with the blade tip *** position of the blade tip vortex consistently changes,and its frequency is directly related to the frequency of TEF *** rotational mode,the tip vortex forms a helical *** end vortices at the gap sides co-swirl and subsequently merge into the concentrated beam of tip vortices,causing fluctuations in the vorticity and axial position of the tip vortex under the *** research concludes with the investigation on suppression of Blade Vortex Interaction(BVI),showing an increase in miss distance and reduction in the vorticity of tip vortex through TEF phase control at a particular control *** this mechanism,a designed TEF deflection law increases the miss distance by 34.7%and reduces vorticity by 11.9%at the target position,demonstrating the effectiveness of AFC in mitigating BVI.

β-ray-induced X-ray spectroscopy(BIXS)is a promising method for tritium detection in solid materials because of its unique advantages,such as large detection depth,nondestructive testing capabilities,and low requirements for sample ***,high-accuracy reconstruction of the tritium depth profile remains a significant challenge for this *** this study,a novel reconstruction method based on a backpropagation(BP)neural network algorithm that demonstrates high accuracy,broad applicability,and robust noise resistance is *** average reconstruction error calculated using the BP network(8.0%)was much lower than that obtained using traditional numerical methods(26.5%).In addition,the BP method can accurately reconstruct BIX spectra of samples with an unknown range of tritium and exhibits wide applicability to spectra with various tritium ***,the BP network demonstrates superior accuracy and stability compared to numerical methods when reconstructing the spectra,with a relative uncertainty ranging from 0 to 10%.This study highlights the advantages of BP networks in accurately reconstructing the tritium depth profile from BIXS and promotes their further application in tritium detection.

Tight oil reservoirs face significant challenges,including rapid production decline,low recovery rates,and a lack of effective energy replenishment *** this study,a novel development model is proposed,based on inter-fracture injection following volumetric fracturing and relying on a high-temperature and high-pressure large-scale physical simulation ***,the CMG(Computer Modelling Group Ltd.,Calgary City,Canada)software is also used to elucidate the impact of various single factors on the production of horizontal wells while filtering out the interference of *** effects of fracture spacing,fracture half-length,and the injection-production ratio are *** indicate that under rejection pressures of 6.89,3.45,and 1.88 MPa,the times to establish stable flow are 50,193,and 395 min,*** injection pressures lead to an increased oil recovery efficiency,with the highest observed efficiency at 16.93%.This indicates that,compared with conventional medium and high permeability reservoirs,tight oil reservoirs exhibit similar pore throats and larger capillary forces when oil and water flow in both *** pressures reduce capillary forces,displacing more oil droplets,thus enhancing oil recovery ***,under inter-fracture displacement conditions,the pressure gradient at both the injection and production ends remain consistent,with minimal pressure loss near the *** feature ensures that the crude oil in the middle of the reservoir also possesses displacement energy,thereby enhancing overall crude oil displacement efficiency.

The meteor radar can detect the zenith angle,azimuth,radial velocity,and altitude of meteor trails so that one can invert the wind profiles in the mesosphere and low thermosphere(MLT)region,based on the Interferometric and Doppler *** this paper,the horizontal wind field,gravity wave(GW)disturbance variance,and GW fluxes are analyzed through the meteor radar observation from 2012−2022,at Mohe(53.5°N,122.4°E)and Zuoling(30.5°N,114.6°E)stations of the(Chinese)Meridian *** Lomb−Scargle periodogram method has been utilized to analyze the periodic variations for time series with observational data *** results show that the zonal winds at both stations are eastward dominated,while the meridional winds are southward *** variance of GW disturbances in the zonal and meridional directions increases gradually with height,and there is a strong pattern of annual *** zonal momentum flux of GW changes little with height,showing weak annual *** meridional GW flux varies gradually from northward to southward with height,and the annual periodicity is *** both stations,the maximum values of zonal and meridional wind occur close to the peak heights of GW flux,with opposite *** observational evidence is consistent with the filtering *** horizontal wind velocity,GW flux,and disturbance variance of the GW at Mohe are overall smaller than those at Zuoling,indicating weaker activities in the MLT at *** power spectral density(PSD)calculated by the Lomb−Scargle periodogram shows that there are 12-month period and 6-month period in horizontal wind field,GW disturbance variance and GW flux at both stations,and especially there is also a 4-month cycle in the disturbance *** PSD of the 12-month and 6-month cycles exhibits maximum values below 88 km and above 94 km.
