Comparison of the Pore Structure of Ultralow-Permeability Reservoirs Between the East and West Subsags of the Lishui Sag Using Constant-Rate Mercury Injection

In this study, the differences in reservoir parameters, such as pore radius, throat radius, and pore-throat ratio, between the east and west subsags of the Lishui Sag are analyzed by using data obtained from a constant-rate mercury injection experiment. Furthermore, the quality of the reservoirs in the two subsags is systematically evaluated. Results show that the throat radius of the Lishui west subsag is larger than that of the east subsag, and this parameter has a positive correlation with reservoir quality. However, the pore-throat ratio of the east subsag is larger than that of the west subsag, which has an inverse relationship with reservoir quality. The main reasons for this reservoir difference can be attributed to sedimentation and diagenesis. The sedimentary facies types of the Lishui east subsag are the fan delta, shore lake, shallow lake, and shore shallow lake;their sandstone composition maturity is low;the clay mineral content is high;and the rock has undergone strong diagenesis. Therefore, the physical conditions of the reservoir are poor. However, the sandstones in the Lishui west subsag have weak cementation and compaction, mainly with an intergranular pore structure type, which leads to good connectivity between pores. Therefore, the storage performance and seepage capacity of the Lishui west subsag are better than those of the east subsag;the west subsag is the main area of oil and gas accumulation, as confirmed in the process of exploration and development.

Numerical modeling of entry position design:A field case

In coal mining, roof collapse and support body failure during entry excavation are a common *** excavation, entry positions may be subjected to separation, shear-slip, support body failure,and roof collapse. Weak coal-rock interfaces allow for shear-slip between layers, causing anchor bolts and cables to fail. Six entry position models are created to evaluate the failure process and determine the best entry position. Results indicate that roof rocks experience bending and shear-slip along the coal-rock interface. Nearby mining activity causes asymmetric deformation of the entry and shear-slip at the roof corners. When anchor cables and bolts in the roof are insufficient to limit separation and shear-slip, support bodies are subjected to tension, shear, and bending. Once the support body fractures,the entry roof experiences progressive deformation resulting in collapse. We determine the optimal entry position in which shear-slip and residual coal are minimized.

Tomography of the dynamic stress coefficient for stress wave prediction in sedimentary rock layer under the mining additional stress

In this study,the tomography of dynamic stress coefficient(TDSC)was established based on a mechanical model of stress wave propagation in bedding planes and a mathematical model of the stress wave attenuation in rock *** reliability of the TDSC was verified by a linear bedding plane model and field ***,the TDSC in the dynamic stress propagation of bedding planes increases with the following conditions:(1)the increase of the normal stiffness of the bedding plane,(2)the increase of the incident angle of the stress wave,(3)the decrease of the incident frequency of the stress wave,or(4)the growth of three ratios(the ratios of rock densities,elastic moduli,and the Poisson’s ratios)of rocks on either side of bedding *** additional stress weakens TDSC linearly and slowly during the stress wave propagation in bedding planes,and the weakening effect increases with the growth of the three ***,the TDSC decreases exponentially in the rock mass as propagation distance *** a field case,the TDSC decreases significantly as vertical and horizontal distances increase and its wave range increases as vertical distance increases in the sedimentary rock layers.

Influence of abnormal stress under a residual bearing coal pillar on the stability of a mine entry

Mine entries close to residual bearing coal pillars(RBCPs) will suffer large deformation that may cause rock burst. To better understand the deformation mechanism and develop safe and practical guidelines for entry design, most studies focus on the absolute size of the stress field in and around the pillar. In this paper, we present a new approach to analyze the abnormal stress field close to a RBCP that uses the stress concentration coefficient(SCC), stress gradient(SG), and coefficient of lateral pressure(CLP) to describe the stress state induced by the RBCP. Based on elastic theory and a mathematical model for the abutment stress in the RBCP, an analytical solution for the abnormal stress in the strata below the RBCP was derived and the characteristics of the abnormal stress for a case study of a coal mine in China were analyzed. The results show that the abnormal stress field around the pillar is characterized by four distinct zones: a zone of high SCC, high SG, and CLP less than 1, a zone of high SCC, low SG, and CLP less than 1, a zone of low SCC, SG close to 0, and CLP greater than 1, and a zone of SCC close to 1, SC close to 0, and CLP close to 1. Based on this zoning pattern, a numerical model was established to study the combined effects of the abnormal stress on the stability of the entry. The most stable zone was determined based on a model of the Xinrui coal mine and verified by field measurements at the mine. Our conclusions can be used as guidelines for designing safe entry layouts in similar geological and mining settings.

Recovery of the Erosion Thickness and Characterization of the Paleogeomorphology in the Southern Lishui Sag, East China Sea Shelf Basin

The restoration of the denudation thickness is the basis for quantitatively analyzing the basin burial history,thermal evolution history and hydrocarbon accumulation *** well data is not sufficient to do this in the southern Lishui Sag with only 5 wells,so the new,high-quality three-dimensional(3D)seismic data is *** methods employed to determine the eroded thicknesses of key unconformities in the study area are the mudstone acoustic time difference(AC)method,vitrinite reflectance(Ro%)method and stratigraphic trend comparison *** the basis of the structural evolution,the restoration of the paleogeomorphology is carried *** results show that the Wenzhou formation(E2 w)in the entire study area has been all *** denudation thickness is in the range of 0–550 m,and decreases gradually from west,thicker than 200 m,to *** erosion of the upper Lingfeng formation(E1l)are mainly occurred in the N-P-1 structural trap(N-P-1),the N-P-2 structural trap(N-P-2)and the N-P-3 structural trap(N-P-3).Among them,the eroded area in N-P-1(near well S-1)and N-P-2 is 200–230 km^2,and the denudation thickness is 0–600 m,which increases from south to north,even up to 200–400 m in the region around well *** N-P-3,the extent of denudation is 30–50 km^2,and the denudation thickness is 0–400 *** the early stage of the upper E1 l,one north-south strike slip fault began to develop in the southern study *** by this fault,the southern Lingfeng bulge was offset,forming a gorge,and the eastern and western sides of the concave belt connected to each *** the basis of the paleo-geomorphological characteristics,it is shown that the sedimentary center of the west subsag began to migrate to the south.

Observation of Two Novel mcr-10.1–Carrying Plasmids in Clinical Escherichia coli Strains

Polymyxins are a class of last-resort antibiotics used to treat infections caused by multidrug-resistant bacteria. Mobile resistance determinants for polymyxins, including mcr-1 to mcr-10 genes, have previously been reported. Among them, mcr-10 has commonly beenobserved in Enterobacter and Klebsiella species. However, the presence of mcr-10 in Escherichia coli, an important opportunistic pathogen, has rarely been reported. This work describes the observation of mcr-10.1 in two clinical E. coli strains, with mcr-10.1 hosted ontwo novel plasmids, one of which carries transconjugation genes. These strains were isolated from anal fistula–suffering patients, suggesting their close relation to human bacterial infection. The genetic context of mcr-10.1 was also found to differ from those previouslyidentified in E. coli strains. This work is the first observation of mcr-10.1–carrying E. coli in clinical settings, expanding our knowledge ofthis important antibiotic resistance gene.

东海盆地丽水凹陷有效烃源岩判定及分布预测

丽水凹陷作为东海陆架盆地具有较大勘探潜力的凹陷,其勘探程度较低,近年来钻探成果较小,因此亟需对烃源岩进行综合评价。通过烃源岩岩石热解实验,饱和烃气相色谱及饱和烃色质分析,对丽水凹陷烃源岩进行综合评价。结果表明,丽水凹陷烃源岩有机质类型以Ⅲ型为主,存在少量的Ⅱ1及Ⅱ2型。月桂峰组烃源岩处于成熟到过成熟阶段,灵峰组烃源岩处于成熟阶段,多数明月峰组烃源岩成熟度较低。根据烃源岩热解参数S 1及有机碳含量(TOC)的关系确定月桂峰组有效烃源岩w(TOC)下限为0.7%,灵峰组有效烃源岩w(TOC)下限为1.0%,明月峰组有效烃源岩w(TOC)下限为0.9%。生标参数显示丽水凹陷烃源岩有机质具有混合来源特征,沉积于海陆过渡环境中。有效烃源岩平面分布预测显示,丽水凹陷有效烃源岩的分布较为局限,丽水凹陷西次凹的东北部为有效烃源岩的集中分布区。月桂峰组及灵峰组烃源岩具有较大的产气潜力,应加大丽水凹陷西次凹东北部的气藏勘探力度。
