Background Off-label application of drug-eluting stents （DES） during percutaneous coronary intervention （PCI） was not uncommon in daily practice, however DES in treating Chinese patients with complex lesion subset was under-investigated. The primary objective of the FIREMAN registry was to evaluate the long term efficacy and safety of the Firebird sirolimus-eluting stent （SES） in treating patients with complex coronary lesions. Here we report the mid-term of one-year clinical outcomes and eight-month angiographic follow-up results of FIREMAN *** The FIREMAN registry was a prospective multi-center registry, which included 1029 consecutive patients undergoing PCI with Firebird SES implantation between September 2006 and July 2007 in 45 centers in China. The clinical follow-up was designed to be performed at 1, 6, 12, 18, 24, 30 and 36 months post index procedure, and non-mandatory angiographic follow-up at 8 months was planned. One hundred percent site monitoring was *** Long lesions （59.2%）, multi-vessel disease （50.4%）, and small vessel disease （31.6%） were mostly found in angiography. Major adverse cardiac events （MACE） occurred in 51 （5.1%） patients at 1 year clinical follow-up,including cardiac mortality in 6 （0.6%）, non-fatal myocardial infarction in 11 （1.1%）, and target lesion revascularization in 36 （3.5%） of the patients. Definite and probable stent thrombosis （ST） by Academic Research Consortium （ARC） definition occurred in 12 （1.36%） patients at one-year clinical follow-up. The 8-month binary restenosis rate was 5.7% in-segment and 4.3% in-stent, respectively. Late lumen loss was （0.21±0.40） mm in-segment and （0.23±0.36） mm in-stent, respectively. Effect of salts on earthen materials deterioration after humidity cycling

Salt weathering leads to destruction of many valuable cultural heritage monuments and porous building material. The present study aims at providing more laboratory evidence for evaluating the effects of salt precipitation on the deterioration process. In view of this, the remoulded soil specimens were mixed with three kinds of salts(i.e., NaCl, Na_2SO_4 and their mixture) with different salt concentrations, and the specimens were kept in environment cabinet for undergoing different wet-dry cycles. After each cycle, the ultrasound velocity measurements were employed to monitor the deterioration process. For the specimens that have suffered three wet-dry cycles, the mechanical properties(i.e. shear strength and compression strength) were determined to evaluate the degree of deterioration. Furthermore, considering the realistic conservation environment of earthen sites, mechanical stability of these specimens against sediment-carrying wind erosion was conducted in a wind tunnel. These experiments results indicate that the overall average velocities of the specimens after the third cycle are significantly lower than those subjected to only one cycle. Ultrasound velocity, mechanical strength and wind erosion rate decrease when salt content increases. However, the internal friction angle increases firstly, and then decreases with the increase in salt content added to the specimens. Na_2SO_4 contributes most of the surface deterioration, while NaCl plays little role in the deterioration. The damage potential of the salt mixture is less obvious and largely dependent on the crystallisation location.

By using the extended version of Eshelby-Stroh's formulation and the method of analytical continuation, the problems of interface cracks are reduced to a Hilbert problem of vector form. A general explicit closed form solution for the piezothermoelastic interface crack problem is then obtained, the whole field solutions of temperature, heat flux, displacements, electric field, stress and electric induction are given, the explicit expressions for the crack opening displacements and electric potential are also provided.

[Solid-phase extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography-triple quadrupole mass spectrometry for simultaneous determination of seven coumarins in water samples from drinking water treatment plants]

Chlorinated coumarins, which are as cytotoxic as highly toxic halobenzoquinones toward CHO-K1 cells, have recently been identified as disinfection byproducts in drinking water disinfection processes. Therefore, detecting coumarins in water samples collected at various stages from drinking water treatment plants helps assess the formation of chlorinated coumarins in drinking water. Hence, a simple, rapid, accurate, and sensitive method for quantifying coumarins in water samples is required. In this study, a method was developed based on solid-phase extraction coupled with high performance liquid chromatography-triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry for analyzing seven coumarins in water samples from drinking water treatment plants, including 6,7-dihydroxycoumarin, 7-hydroxycoumarin, 6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, 8-chloro-7-hydroxycoumarin, coumarin, 7-chloro-6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, and 3,8-dichloro-7-hydroxycoumarin. Sample pretreatment involved solid-phase extraction using HLB columns, followed by elution with water and methanol, each containing 0.25% formic acid. The extracted solution was separated via gradient elution using a Phenomenex Luna C18 column (100 mm×2.0 mm, 3 mm) with 0.1% formic acid aqueous solution and methanol as the mobile phases, with analytes detected by triple-quadrupole mass spectrometry equipped with electrospray ionization source in multiple reaction monitoring mode. The matrix effect, precision, and accuracy of the developed method were investigated using raw and treated water as matrices. Matrix effects of 0.84-1.12 were recorded for the detection of 6,7-dihydroxycoumarin, 7-hydroxycoumarin, 6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, and coumarin in raw water, while values of 0.67-0.70 were recorded for 8-chloro-7-hydroxycoumarin, 7-chloro-6-hydroxy-4-methylcoumarin, and 3,8-dichloro-7-hydroxycoumarin in finished water. Nano high-entropy oxide cathode with enhanced stability for direct borohydride fuel cells

High-entropy materials have become high-activity electrocatalysis owing to their high-entropy effect and multiple active ***,we synthesize a series of carbon-supported nano high-entropy oxides（HEOs/C）,specifically （PtFeCoNiCu）O/C,using a carbothermal shock （CTS） method for application as a cathode catalyst in direct borohydride fuel cells （DBFCs）.The microstructure of the prepared catalysts was characterized by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,X-ray absorption fine structure,and transmission electron *** prepared （PtFeCoNiCu）O/C,with particle sizes ranging from 2 to 4 nm,demonstrates 3.94 transferred electrons towards the oxygen reduction reaction in an alkaline environment,resulting in a minimal H2O2yield of 2.6%.Additionally,it exhibits a Tafel slope of 61 mV dec-1,surpassing that of commercial Pt/C (82 mV dec-1).Furthermore,after 40,000 cycles of cyclic voltammetry（CV） testing,the half-wave potential of （PtFeCoNiCu）O/C shows a positive shift of 3 mV,with no notable decline in the limiting current *** （PtFeCoNiCu）O/C is used as a cathode catalyst in DBFCs,the DBFC achieves a maximum power density of 441 mW cm-2at 60°C and sustains a cell voltage of approximately 0.73 V after 52 h at 30°*** findings confirm that HEO/C is a promising cathode catalyst for DBFCs.

Comparative Analysis of the Endosperm Proteins Separated by 2-D Electrophoresis for Two Cultivars of Hybrid Rice （Oryza sativa L,）

Liangyoupeijiu is a two-parental-line, and Shanyou63 is a three-parental-line hybrid rice （Oryza sativa L.）. Although both belong to the indica subspecies, they have obvious differences with respect to morphology, physiology and grain quality. Variations in endosperm protein compositions were studied by comparing the 2-D electrophoresis （2-DE） maps for these two cultivars of hybrid rice. After matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization time of flight mass spectrometry （MALDI-TOF/MS） analysis, a 21-kDa precursor of 19- kDa globulin was identified as the major storage protein for both cultivars. Some isoforms of peroxiredoxin and seed maturation protein were found to only exist in Shanyou63, whereas aldose reductase and starch granule-bound starch synthase were only detected in Liangyoupeijiu. These data might provide a foundation for further comparative studies of these two cultivars of hybrid rice.
