Assessment of Point and Nonpoint Sources Pollution in Songhua River Basin,Northeast China by Using Revised Water Quality Model

Individual participation of pollutants in the pollution load should be estimated even if roughly for the appropriate environmental management of a river *** is difficult to identify the sources and to quantify the load, especially in modeling nonpoint *** this study a revised model was established by integrating point and nonpoint sources into one-dimensional Streeter-Phelps(S-P) model on the basis of real-time hydrologic data and surface water quality monitoring data in the Jilin Reach of the Songhua River *** oxygen demand(COD) and ammonia nitrogen(NH 3-N) loads were *** showed that COD loads of point source and nonpoint source were 134 958 t/yr and 86 209 t/yr, accounting for 61.02% and 38.98% of total loads, *** 3-N loads of point source and nonpoint source were 16 739 t/yr and 14 272 t/yr, accounting for 53.98% and 46.02%, *** source pollution was stronger than nonpoint source pollution in the study area at *** water quality of upstream was better than that of downstream of the rivers and *** is indispensable to treat industrial wastewater and municipal sewage out of point sources, to adopt the best management practices to control diffuse pollutants from agricultural land and urban surface runoff in improving water quality of the Songhua River *** revised S-P model can be successfully used to identify pollution source and quantify point source and nonpoint source loads by calibrating and validating.

A Novel Locomotion Rule Rmbedding Long Short-Term Memory Network with Attention for Human Locomotor Intent Classification Using Multi-Sensors Signals

Locomotor intent classification has become a research hotspot due to its importance to the development of assistive robotics and wearable *** work have achieved impressive performance in classifying steady locomotion ***,it remains challenging for these methods to attain high accuracy when facing transitions between steady locomotion *** to the similarities between the information of the transitions and their adjacent steady ***,most of these methods rely solely on data and overlook the objective laws between physical activities,resulting in lower accuracy,particularly when encountering complex locomotion modes such as *** address the existing deficiencies,we propose the locomotion rule embedding long short-term memory(LSTM)network with Attention(LREAL)for human locomotor intent classification,with a particular focus on transitions,using data from fewer sensors(two inertial measurement units and four goniometers).The LREAL network consists of two levels:One responsible for distinguishing between steady states and transitions,and the other for the accurate identification of locomotor *** classifier in these levels is composed of multiple-LSTM layers and an attention *** introduce real-world motion rules and apply constraints to the network,a prior knowledge was added to the network via a rule-modulating *** method was tested on the ENABL3S dataset,which contains continuous locomotion date for seven steady and twelve transitions *** results showed that the LREAL network could recognize locomotor intents with an average accuracy of 99.03%and 96.52%for the steady and transitions states,*** is worth noting that the LREAL network accuracy for transition-state recognition improved by 0.18%compared to other state-of-the-art network,while using data from fewer sensors.

The three-component reaction of N-phenacylbenzothiazolium bromides, aromatic aldehydes and indane-l,3- dione in ethanol at room temperature in the presence of triethylamine as base afforded functionalized spiro[benzo- [d]pyrrolo[2,1-b]thiazole-3,2＇-indenes] in good yields and with high diastereoselectivity. The 1H NMR data and sin- gle crystal structure clearly indicated that the obtained spiro compounds predominately have one diastereoisomer.

Spy chemistry enables stable protein immobilization on iron oxide nanoparticles with enhanced magnetic properties

Iron oxide nanoparticles(IONPs)modified with functional proteins hold great promise in the biomedical ***,conventional protein modification strategies,such as adsorption and covalent coupling,are either unstable or nonspecific,or may result in the changes of protein structure and ultimately the loss of protein *** of active proteins on small-sized IONPs with a particle size of less than 30 nm is especially difficult due to their high surface ***,we developed a universal modifica-tion method based on Spy chemistry for rapid and stable protein immobilization on small-sized IONPs,which only requires the presence of active groups on the surface of nanoparticles that can couple with *** short,the SpyCatcher peptides were first coated on the surface of IONPs by cross-linking with activated groups,and then the SpyTag peptide fused with a model protein(enhanced green fluo-rescent protein,EGFP)was engineered(SpyTag-EGFP)and directly coupled to SpyCatcher-modified IONPs by self-assembly,which is spontaneous and robust while avoiding the effect of chemical reactions on functional protein *** obtained EGFP-functionalized IONPs exhibited enhanced and stable green fluorescence and improved magnetic *** addition,the cell internalization efficiency of EGFP-functionalized IONPs was significantly increased as compared to unmodified IONPs,providing an ideal solution for efficient cell labeling and *** conclusion,here we report a rapid and easy strategy for EGFP immobilization on IONPs based on Spy chemistry,which could be further adapted to other functional proteins in the ***-modified IONPs and SpyTag-X(arbitrary functional fusion proteins)hold great potential to be applied as a versatile platform for protein immobilization on IONPs and enable its multifunctional application in the future.

Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome:Clinical features,pathophysiology,diagnosis and treatment strategies

Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome (SRUS) is an uncommon benign disease, characterized by a combination of symptoms, clinical findings and histological abnormalities. Ulcers are only found in 40% of the patients; 20% of the patients have a solitary ulcer, and the rest of the lesions vary in shape and size, from hyperemic mucosa to broad-based polypoid. Men and women are affected equally, with a small predominance in women. SRUS has also been described in children and in the geriatric population. Clinical features include rectal bleeding, copious mucus discharge, prolonged excessive straining, perineal and abdominal pain, feeling of incomplete defecation, constipation, and rarely, rectal prolapse. This disease has well-described histopathological features such as obliteration of the lamina propria by fibrosis and smooth muscle fibers extending from a thickened muscularis mucosa to the lumen. Diffuse collage deposition in the lamina propria and abnormal smooth muscle fiber extensions are sensitive markers for differ-entiating SRUS from other conditions. However, the etiology remains obscure, and the condition is frequently associated with pelvic floor disorders. SRUS is difficult to treat, and various treatment strategies have been advocated, ranging from conservative management to a variety of surgical procedures. The aim of the present review is to summarize the clinical features, pathophysiology, diagnostic methods and treatment strategies associated with SRUS. A substorm-associated enhancement in the XUV radiation measuring channel observed by ESP/EVE/SDO

Comparing the ESP/EVE/SDO flux data of 2011 Feb 6, with the counterparts of XRS/GOES and SEM/SOHO, we find that there is an enhancement that is not apparent in the two latter datasets. The enhancement, possibly regarded as a flare at first glimpse, nevertheless, does not involve an energy-release from the Sun. Based on the enhancement, we combine data from SXI/GOES 15 into a synthesized analysis, and concluded that it arises from a particle-associated enhancement in the channel that measures XUV radiation. Paradoxically, it seems to be somewhat of a particle-avalanching process. Prior to the event, a moderate geomagnetic storm took place. Subsequently, while the event is proceeding, a geomagnetic substorm is simultaneously observed. Therefore, the particles, though unidentified, are probably energetic electrons induced by substorm injection.

Visible-light-driven photocatalytic inactivation of bacteriophage f2 by Cu-TiO_2 nanofibers in the presence of humic acid

Pathogenic viruses in drinking water are great threats to public health. Visible-lightdriven photocatalysis is a promising technology for virus inactivation. However, the existing photocatalytic antiviral research studies have mostly been carried out in single-component systems, neglecting the effect of natural organic matter, which exists widely in actual water bodies. In this paper, electrospun Cu-TiO2 nanofibers were prepared as photocatalysts, and their photocatalytic antiviral performance in the presence of humic acid(HA) was comprehensively studied for the first time. The properties of the reaction mixture were measured during the reaction. In addition, the safety, reliability and stability of photocatalytic disinfection in the mixed system were evaluated. The results showed that the virus removal efficiency decreased with the increase of the HA concentration. The type of reaction solution, such as PBS buffer solution or water, did not affect the removal efficiency noticeably. Under acidic conditions, the electrostatic forces between photocatalysts and viruses were strengthened, leading to higher virus removal efficiency. As the reaction time went on, the pH value in the solution increased first and then tended to be stable, the conductivity remained stable, and the dissolved oxygen increased first and then decreased. The safety test showed that the concentration of Cu ions released into the solution was lower than specified by the international standards. No photoreactivation was observed, and the addition of HA significantly reduced the reutilization efficiency of the photocatalysts.

A three-dimensional numerical model of the membranous labyrinth of the semicircular canal of the inner ear was established to investigate the effects of canalithiasis of BPPV on the balance function of the inner *** movement of otolith particles in the membranous labyrinth was simulated when a person turns his head to a specific *** effects of otolith movements on the balance function of the inner ear were simulated for different numbers,diameters,and initial positions of *** simulation results show that the otolith diameter affects the movement duration of otoliths in the membranous *** number and diameter of otoliths,the diameter of the membranous labyrinth,and the initial position of the otoliths can cause changes in the pressure difference on both sides of the cupula of the crista ampullaris(cupula).The latent period and onset period are related to the diameter of otolith particles and the position of the *** is also a correlation between the severity of the disease and the diameter and number of otolith particles.
