AIM:To develop an affinity peptide that binds to gastric cancer used for the detection of early gastric ***:A peptide screen was performed by biopanning the PhD-12 phage display library,clearing non-specific binders against tumor-adjacent normal appearing gastric mucosa and obtaining selective binding against freshly harvested gastric cancer *** binding of selected peptides was confirmed by bound phage counts,enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay,competitive inhibition,fluorescence microscopy and semi-quantitative analysis on immunohistochemistry using different types of cancer ***:Approximately 92.8% of the non-specific phage clones were subtracted from the original phage library after two rounds of biopanning against normal-appearing gastric *** the third round of positive screening,the peptide sequence AADNAKTKSFPV(AAD) appeared in 25%(12/48) of the analyzed *** the control peptide,these values were 6.8 ± 2.3,5.1 ± 1.7,3.5 ± 2.1,4.6 ± 1.9 and 1.1 ± 0.5,*** values for AAD peptide were statistically signif icant(P < 0.01) for gastric cancer as compared with other histological classif ications and control ***:A novel peptide is discovered to have a specific binding activity to gastric cancer,and can be used to distinguish neoplastic from normal gastric mucosa,demonstrating the potential for early cancer detection on endoscopy.

Noise reduction program design is an effective approach that relies on efficient noise prediction for reducing ground noise during *** existing noise prediction methods have the limitations of being computationally expensive or only applicable to *** this paper,a High-Efficiency Prediction Method(HEPM)for helicopter global/ground noise based on near-field acoustic holography is *** HEPM can predict the global noise based on acoustic modal analysis and has the advantages of high prediction accuracy and low time *** process is given as follows:firstly,the rotor noise on the holographic surface in the specified flight is obtained by simulations or ***,the global noise model,which maps time-domain noise to acoustic modes,is established based on near-field acoustic holography and Fourier acoustic analysis ***,combined with acoustic modal amplitude,the model established enables efficiently predicting the global/ground noise in the corresponding flight *** verify the accuracy of the prediction method,a simulation study is conducted in hovering and forward flight states using a model helicopter with a 2-meter rotor and Rotor Body Interaction(ROBIN)*** comparison of HEPM with numerical results shows that the average prediction errors of the global and ground noise are less than 0.3 dB and 0.2 dB,*** a region containing 100000 observers,the computation time of the HEPM is only one-fifth of that of the acoustic hemisphere method,demonstrating the rapidity of the proposed method.

Iatrogenic femoral artery pseudoaneurysm is a common complication of the endovascular *** compression and thrombin injection are the conventional techniques to occlude the ***,there are still some failed cases that applied these treatment *** aim of the study is to seek a potential and alternative method with ProGlide system to close the *** April 2018 to February 2019,2 patients with iatrogenic pseudoaneurysm of the superficial femoral were treated with the suture-base closure device–*** punctured the pseudoaneurysm and placed a 6-F sheath,the guide wire was placed in the right femoral artery via the access of the pseudoaneurysm *** the pseudoaneurysm neck was sutured by ProGlide to occlude the blood supply to the *** 2 patients were cured with no complications and complaints,which revealed that percutaneous suture technique with ProGlide at the neck level of pseudoaneurysm provides a novel method for the management of vascular access pseudoaneurysm,especially in those with a wide and short neck.

Based on the antiplatelet aggregation mechanism and the bioisosterism principle of the reference drug picotamide, thirteen novel derivatives of arylamide and arylsulfonamide were designed and prepared. The biological activities of these derivatives were investigated. The chemical structures of the target compounds were confirmed by ^1H NMR and IR. The in vitro activities of antiplatelet aggregation of the thirteen target compounds were assessed by Bore＇s method. Compounds 2b and 8h have significant antiplatelet aggregation activities, which are superior to the corresponding activity of Picotamide.

Objective:To investigate a new noninvasive diagnostic model for nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD) based on features of tongue ***:Healthy controls and volunteers confirmed to have NAFLD by liver ultrasound were recruited from China-Japan Friendship Hospital between September 2018 and May 2019,then the anthropometric indexes and sampled tongue images were *** tongue images were labeled by features,based on a brief protocol,without knowing any other clinical data,after a series of corrections and data *** algorithm was trained on images using labels and several anthropometric indexes for inputs,utilizing machine learning ***,a logistic regression algorithm and a decision tree model were constructed as 2 diagnostic models for ***:A total of 720 subjects were enrolled in this study,including 432 patients with NAFLD and 288 healthy *** them,482 were randomly allocated into the training set and 238 into the validation *** diagnostic model based on logistic regression exhibited excellent performance:in validation set,it achieved an accuracy of 86.98%,sensitivity of 91.43%,and specificity of 80.61%;with an area under the curve(AUC) of 0.93 [95% confidence interval(CI) 0.68–0.98].The decision tree model achieved an accuracy of 81.09%,sensitivity of 91.43%,and specificity of 66.33%;with an AUC of 0.89(95% CI 0.66–0.92) in validation ***:The features of tongue images were associated with *** the 2 diagnostic models,which would be convenient,noninvasive,lightweight,rapid,and inexpensive technical references for early screening,can accurately distinguish NAFLD and are worth further study.

The development of chemoresistance which results in a poor prognosis often renders current treatments for colorectal cancer(CRC).In this study,we identified reduced microvessel density(MVD)and vascular immaturity resulting from endothelial apoptosis as therapeutic targets for overcoming *** focused on the effect of metformin on MVD,vascular maturity,and endothelial apoptosis of CRCs with a non-angiogenic phenotype,and further investigated its effect in overcoming *** situ transplanted cancer models were established to compare MVD,endothelial apoptosis and vascular maturity,and function in tumors from metformin-and vehicle-treated *** in vitro co-culture system was used to observe the effects of metformin on tumor cell-induced endothelial *** sequencing was performed for genetic ***-angiogenic CRC developed independently of angiogenesis and was characterized by vascular leakage,immaturity,reduced MVD,and *** phenomenon had also been observed in human ***,non-angiogenic CRCs showed a worse response to chemotherapeutic drugs in vivo than in *** suppressing endothelial apoptosis,metformin sensitized non-angiogenic CRCs to chemo-drugs via elevation of MVD and improvement of vascular *** results showed that endothelial apoptosis was induced by tumor cells via activation of caspase signaling,which was abrogated by metformin *** findings provide pre-clinical evidence for the involvement of endothelial apoptosis and subsequent vascular immaturity in the chemoresistance of non-angiogenic *** suppressing endothelial apoptosis,metformin restores vascular maturity and function and sensitizes CRC to chemotherapeutic drugs via a vascular mechanism.

Effect of nano-carbon black content on wetting phenomenon of molten steel and alumina-carbon ceramic filter substrates

The effect of nano-carbon black content(O,8 and 12 wt.%)on the wettability of molten steel on Al_(2)O_(3)-C substrates was investigated by the sessile drop wetting method at 1500℃ under argon *** the beginning of the wetting experiment,the contact angle decreased with the increase in nano-carbon black *** the wetting experiment progressed,FeAl_(2)0_(4) layer and sheet Al_(2)O_(3) layer were found at the interface between the molten steel and the Al_(2)O_(3)-C substrates with O and 8 wt.% nano-carbon black content,and the contact angle deceased with *** the content of nano-carbon black was 12 wt.%,a large number of nano-Al_(2)O_(3) whiskers were observed,which made the contact angle between the molten steel and Al_(2)O_(3)-C substrate become *** on the scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometry results,the formation mechanism of FeAl2O4 layer and Al_(2)O_(3) layer and the interfacial reaction mechanism were proposed.

As the most diverse metazoan taxa,soil nematodes serve a diversity of functions in soil food webs and thus can regulate microbial community composition and affect organic matter decomposition and nutrient turnover *** nematodes depend on water flms to access food resources,drought can negatively affect nematode-microbial food webs,yet the impacts of drought on nematode diversity and abundance and how these changes may infuence food web members and their functions are hardly ***,we coupled research along a drought gradient in arid and semiarid grasslands with a detailed intact plant-soil microcosm experiment to explore the patterns and mechanisms of how drought impacts nematode abundance and carbon footprint,microbial phospholipid fatty acid(PLFA)and heterotrophic soil ***,in the feld and the microcosm experiments,we found that nematode abundance,carbon footprint and diversity,microbial PLFA and heterotrophic respiration were reduced under drier *** addition,drought altered nematode and microbial community composition,through reducing the nematode channel ratio and increasing the relative fungivorous nematode abundance and the fungal to bacterial *** soil decomposition channel shifted from a bacterial to a fungal pathway in response to drought,indicating decelerated heterotrophic respiration under *** results highlight the important contribution of soil nematodes and their associated microbial food web to soil carbon *** fndings underscore the need to incorporate key soil fauna into terrestrial ecosystem model evaluation.
