Chrysopogon serrulatus(false beard-grass)is a dominant component of vegetation in the foothills of the *** study whole plant morphology,individuals of *** were collected from three plots at each of six locations spanning from 400 to 1,400 *** population colonizing the highest elevation modifications in different plant *** showed increased metaxylem number and *** the stem,especially outside of the vascular tissue,there was intensive sclerification indicative of increased xeromorphy as a survival *** the highest elevation,leaves were wider;aerenchyma formation and increased sclerification were noted in the leaf sheath;and a greater proportion of storage parenchyma was observed in the leaf blade,all indicators of *** contrast,leaves at lower elevations had xeric morphological features such as increased epidermal thickness,sclerification and more developed metaxylem *** conclusion,shifting of morphological features in below-and above-ground plant parts of *** were linked to shifts in environmental factors along this elevation gradient,thus enabling the successful distribution of this species along this elevation gradient.

Software Defined Networking(SDN)being an emerging network control model is widely recognized as a control and management *** model provides efficient techniques to control and manage the enterprise *** emerging paradigm is edge computing in which data processing is performed at the edges of the network instead of a central *** data processing at the edge nodes reduces the latency and bandwidth *** SDN,the controller is a single point of *** security issues related to the traditional network can be solved by using SDN central management and *** Spoofing and Network Intrusion are the most common *** attacks severely degrade performance and *** propose an edge computing-based mechanism that automatically detects and mitigates those *** this mechanism,an edge system gets the network topology from the controller and the Address Resolution Protocol(ARP)traffic is directed to it for further *** such,the controller is saved from unnecessary processing related to addressing *** propose a graph computation based method to identify the location of an attacker or intruder by implementing a graph difference *** using the correct location information,the exact attacker or intruder is blocked,while the legitimate users get access to the network *** proposed mechanism is evaluated in a Mininet simulator and a POX *** results show that it improves system performance in terms of attack mitigation time,attack detection time,and bandwidth requirements.

Influence of Cu doping in Magnesium Hydroxide Nanoparticles for Bandgap Engineering

Cu doped Mg(OH)_(2) nanoparticles were synthesized with varying concentrations from 0 to 10%by a chemical synthesis technique of coprecipitation.X-rays diffraction (XRD) of the samples confirms that all the samples acquire the hexagonal crystal *** results indicated the solubility limit of dopant in the host material and the secondary phase of CuO was observed beyond 3%Cu doping in Mg(OH)_(2).The reduction in the size of nanoparticles was observed from 166 to 103 nm for Mg(OH)_(2) and 10% Cu doped Mg(OH)_(2)samples,*** shift in absorption spectra exhibited the systematical enhancement in optical bandgap from 5.25 to 6.085 eV.A good correlation was observed between the bandgap energy and crystallite size of the nanocrystals which confirmed the size induced effect in the *** transformation in the sample morphology was observed from irregular spherical particles to sepals like shapes with increasing the Cu concentration in the host *** energy dispersive X-Ray (EDX) analysis confirmed the purity of mass percentage composition of the elements present in the samples.

Let q_(λ)(z)=1+λsinh(ζ),0<λ<1/sinh(1)be a non-vanishing analytic function in the open unit *** introduce a subclass S^(*)(q_(λ))of starlike functions which contains the functions f such that zf'/f is subordinated by q_(λ).We establish inclusion and radii results for the class S^(*)(q_(λ))for several known classes of starlike ***,we obtain sharp coefficient bounds and sharp Hankel determinants of order two for the class S^(*)(q_(λ)).We also find a sharp bound for the third Hankel determinant for the caseλ=1/2.

Numerical Simulation of Reiner–Rivlin Nanofluid Flow under the Influence of Thermal Radiation and Activation Energy over a Rotating Disk

In current study,the numerical computations of Reiner–Rivlin nanofluid flow through a rotational disk under the influence of thermal radiation and Arrhenius activation energy is *** innovative physical situations,the motile microorganisms are incorporated *** multiple slip effects are considered in the boundary *** bioconvection of motile microorganism is utilized alongside nanofluids to provide stability to enhanced thermal *** Bioconvection pattern in various nanoparticles accredits novel applications of biotechnology like the synthesis of biological polymers,biosensors,fuel cells,petroleum engineering,and the natural *** deploying some suitable similarity transformation functions,the governing partial differential equations(PDEs)of the flow problem are rehabilitated into dimensionless *** accomplished ordinary differential equations(ODEs)are solved numerically through the bvp4c scheme via a built-in function in computational MATLAB *** upshots of some prominent physical and bioconvection parameters including wall slip parameters,thermophoresis parameter,Brownian motion parameter,Reiner–Revlin nanofluid parameter,Prandtl number,Peclet number,Lewis number,bioconvection Lewis number,and the mixed convection parameter against velocity,temperature,nanoparticles concentration,and density of motile microorganism profiles are dichotomized and pondered through graphs and *** presented computations show that the velocity profiles are de-escalated by the wall slip parameters while the thermal and solutal fields are upgraded with augmentation in thermophoresis number and wall slip *** presence of thermal radiation enhances the temperature profile of *** concentration profile of nanoparticles is boosted by intensification in activation ***,the increasing values of bioconvection Lewis number and Peclet number decay the motile microorganisms’field.

Enhanced urease inhibition activity of Ag nanomaterials capped with N-substituted methyl 5-acetamido-β-resorcylate

Medically, bacterial ureases are important virulent factors and are used for treatment of peptic ulcers and urinary tones. Reported urease inhibitors are associated with various side effects including antibiotic resistance as a major one. Still there is an urgent need to synthesize new urease inhibitors. In this context we have synthesized new urease inhibitor i.e. AgL that is composed of Ag nanomaterials capped with N-substituted methyl 5-acetamido-β-resorcylate(L). The conjugation of L to silver was confirmed through FTIR, UV–vis and TEM *** silver nanomaterials(Ag) were also prepared. The stability of AgL nanostructures was determined against various parameters(temperature, high salt concentration, pH) and found to be stable. The in vitro antimicrobial(antibacterial, antifungal), enzyme inhibition(xanthine oxidase, urease, carbonic anhydrase, α-chymotrypsin,cholinesterase) and antioxidant activities of AgL were investigated and compared with Ag, L and standard *** comparison to other bioactivities, AgL shows statistically enhanced selective enzyme inhibition activity against urease enzyme. Urease inhibition activity of AgL was significantly greater than standard drug(thiourea),L and Ag. On a per weight basis, AgL required about 11–18 times less amount of L for inhibition of urease enzyme.

Schools' Flood Emergency Preparedness in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, Pakistan

Pakistan is highly exposed to climate-induced disasters, especially floods. Flooding history shows that educational establishments have been disproportionately hard-hit by flooding events. In Pakistan, school safety and preparedness is still a choice, rather than a mandatory requirement for all schools. But schools in Pakistan do have a responsibility to keep safe the students in their care,especially during and after the catastrophic events. This implies the need to maintain the environment in and around school property, so as to minimize the impacts of floods and to have the mechanisms in place to maximize a school's resilience. This study examined the emergency preparedness activities of 20 schools in four districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province that had recently been severely affected by floods. Through face to face interviews and a structured questionnaire(n = 100) we collected data on the four pillars of emergency preparedness:emergency planning, preparation measures, safe school facilities, and hazard education and training. The study revealed that the majority of the sample schools hadexperienced more than one natural hazard-induced disaster,predominantly flooding, yet despite this had not undertaken adequate emergency preparedness activities. There are particular gaps with regard to plans for students with disabilities, the continuity of school operations after a disaster,the presence of maps to identify evacuation routes, the availability of emergency equipment and resources, disaster preparedness guidelines, and psychological first aid and crisis counseling. The strengths, weaknesses, opportunities,and threats analysis that our researchers carried out indicates that, although schools in the survey have taken many steps towards flood preparedness, many weaknesses still exist and there remain significant opportunities to strengthen the preparedness level of many schools. Bioconvection Cross Diffusion Effects on MHD Flow of Nanofluids over Three Different Geometries with Melting

Currently,nanofluid is a hot area of interest for *** nanofluid with bioconvection phenomenon attracted the researchers owing to its numerous applications in the field of nanotechnology,microbiology,nuclear science,heat storage devices,biosensors,biotechnology,hydrogen bomb,engine of motors,cancer treatment,the atomic reactor,cooling of devices,and in many *** article presents the bioconvection cross-diffusion effects on the magnetohydrodynamic flow of nanofluids on three different geometries(cone,wedge,and plate)with mixed *** temperature-dependent thermal conductivity,thermal diffusivity,and Arrhenius activation energy applications are considered on the fluid flow with melting *** flow is analyzed under thermal and solutal Robin’s *** problem is formulated in the mathematical formulation of partial differential equations(PDEs).The similarity transformations are applied to diminish the governing nonlinear coupled boundary value problems into higher-order non-linear ordinary differential equations(ODEs).The resulting expressions/equation numerically tackled utilizing the famous bvp4c package by MATLAB for various interesting *** results were physically and numerically calculated through graphics and tables for the velocity field,energy distribution,nanoparticles concentration,and microorganisms profile for numerous *** the obtained results,we discern that the transfer of heat and mass coefficient is high over a plate and cone in the flow,*** velocity profile is reduced via a larger magnetic *** thermal conductivity enhances the thermal *** thermophoresis enhanced the concentration of *** microorganisms’Biot number boosts the microorganism’s profile.

The lateral guidance objective is to derive the cross track error towards zero with graceful and stable maneuvers and then to keep it as minimum as possible. A nonlinear sliding surface based lateral guidance scheme is proposed here for Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs) application with limited actuation. Following the inner(control) and outer(guidance)loop structure, the proposed guidance scheme resides in outer loop and generates reference bank angle commands for the inner control loop. The proposed 1 order SMC algorithm based on nonlinear sliding surface is derived using the kinematic equations for bank-to-turn vehicles. Mathematical proof of existence of sliding mode and actuation boundedness of the closed-loop is also provided. The proposed guidance and control system performance is verified via simulation results for different scenario. A high fidelity nonlinear 6-degrees-offreedom(6-dof) scaled Yak-54 UAV mathematical model is used for flight simulations. Simulation results validated the effectiveness and performance of the proposed lateral guidance scheme.

This paper presents a novel guidance algorithm for UAVs to follow a 2-D ground track by controlling the lateral cross track deviations. The guidance framework based on sliding mode theory is presented to solve the two dimensional path-following problem. To control the lateral track error of the vehicle during flight, the guidance algorithm generates reference bank angle commands for the vehicle control system i.e., by executing roll maneuvers. Novel nonlinear high performance sliding surface is proposed to reduce the lateral cross track error efficiently. Subsequently, 1storder sliding mode guidance logic is then devised using the proposed manifold for generating reference bank angle commands. Stability of the proposed nonlinear manifold is proved using Lyapunov *** boundedness is proved to avoid saturation of control signals. Effectiveness of the proposed algorithm is shown via simulation results for a research scaled YAK-54 UAV. Different scenarios（consisting of both small and large lateral errors）in simulation validates the proposed guidance framework and illustrates the effectiveness of the algorithm.
