Metaheuristics are commonly used in various fields,including real-life problem-solving and engineering appli*** present work introduces a novel metaheuristic algorithm named the Artificial Circulatory System Algorithm(ACSA).The control of the circulatory system inspires it and mimics the behavior of hormonal and neural regulators involved in this *** work initially evaluates the effectiveness of the suggested approach on 16 two-dimensional test functions,identified as classical benchmark *** method was subsequently examined by application to 12 CEC 2022 benchmark problems of different ***,the paper evaluates ACSA in comparison to 64 metaheuristic methods that are derived from different approaches,including evolutionary,human,physics,and ***,a sequence of statistical tests was undertaken to examine the superiority of the suggested algorithm in comparison to the 7 most widely used algorithms in the existing *** results show that the ACSA strategy can quickly reach the global optimum,avoid getting trapped in local optima,and effectively maintain a balance between exploration and *** outperformed 42 algorithms statistically,according to post-hoc *** also outperformed 9 algorithms *** study concludes that ACSA offers competitive solutions in comparison to popüler methods.

Synthetic grafting needs improvements to eliminate secondary surgeries for the removal of implants after healing of the defected *** scaffolds are engineered to serve as temporary templates,which support the affected tissue and gradually degrade through the healing *** mechanical function to withstand the anatomic loading conditions,scaffolds should also provide a decent biological function for the diffusion of nutrients and oxygen to the cells,and excretion of the wastes from the cells to promote the new tissue growth and ***,the degradation byproducts of the scaffolds should be safe to the human *** of such multifunctional scaffolds requires selection of the right material,design,and manufacturing *** has been recognized as the prominent biodegradable metal with regards to its mechanical properties matching to that of human bone,degradability in the body fluid,and its ability to stimulate new tissue *** with intricate porous structures can be designed according to the patient-specific anatomic data using computer aided *** manufacturing(AM)is the right method to materialize these models rapidly with reasonably acceptable range of dimensional ***,the recent research trend is to develop ideal scaffolds using biodegradable Mg through AM *** review compiles and discusses the available literature on the AM of biodegradable Mg parts from the viewpoints of material compositions,process conditions,formation quality,dimensional accuracy,microstructure,biodegradation,and mechanical *** current achievements are summarized together,and future research directions are identified to promote clinical applications of biodegradable Mg through the advancement of AM.

Lithium triborate （LiB3O5） was synthesized by high temperature solid-state reaction method, and then rare earth oxides were doped into LiB3O5 to enhance its thermoluminescent （TL） properties. The identification and characteristics of the obtained compounds were determined by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, Fourier transform infrared （FTIR） analyses, differential thermal analyses （DTA） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The glow curves were obtained using a thermoluminescent （TL） reader. The results revealed that all the rare earth oxides were not good activators for lithium triborate and the obtained compounds could not be used for dosimetric applications.

Recent reports from pulmonary arterial hypertension （PAH） registries suggest that the mean age at diagnosis is increasing in a growing proportion of elderly patients. The combination of several reasons such as aging popula- tion, increase in life expectancy, growing PAH awareness of physicians and patients, and availability of more treatment options could explain the changing picture of PAH. PAH should be considered as an emerging entity in the elderly.

Achieving high hitting accuracy for a main battle tank is challenging while the tank is on the move. This can be reached by proper design of a weapon control and gun system. In order to design an effective gun system while the tank is moving, better understanding of the dynamic behavior of the gun system is required. In this study, the dynamic behaviour of a gun system is discussed in this respect. Both experimental and numerical applications for the determination of the dynamic behaviour of a tank gun system are investigated. Methods such as the use of muzzle reference system(MRS) and vibration absorbers, and active vibration control technology for the control and the reduction of the muzzle tip deflections are also reviewed. For the existing gun systems without making substantial modifications,MRS could be useful in controlling the deflections of gun barrels with estimation/prediction *** vibration levels could be cut into half by the use of optimised vibration absorbers for an existing gun.A new gun system with a longer barrel can be as accurate as the one with a short barrel with the appropriate structural modifications.

Screw conveyors are widely used for bulk material *** study investigates the critical role of radial clearance,the gap between the screw and the conveyor body,on performance across various inclination *** Discrete Element Method(DEM)is employed to analyze the effects of different radial clearances on conveyor performance for concrete aggregate and sand as bulk *** efficiencies and capacity losses serve as key performance indicators,quantitatively assessed for each radial clearance and inclination *** validation is conducted to corroborate the *** the study,the optimal radial clearance was identified as 1.5 to 3 times of the particle *** optimal clearance minimizes the material jamming and increases the performance for screw conveyors with different inclinations and bulk material types as a result.

The aim of this study was ***,it analyzed the characteristics of the publication outputs for the Legal Medicine(LM)category using the Web of Science(WoS)database during ***,it discussed the distribution of the papers for the 25 most productive countries/regions in terms of quality and quantity,such as the h-index and GDP per ***,it investigated the trend and temporal stability of the journal impact factor(JIF)and determined the percentage of the journal *** findings suggested that the number of papers,the average number of pages of the papers,the average number of cited references in the papers,the average number of authors per paper,the percentage of open access papers,as well as international and domestic collaboration tended to increase ***,the productivity was limited when compared to the whole WoS database,since there was no significant change in the number of the *** countries/regions with the highest number of publications were not those that made the most impact in terms of the widespread impact of the *** level of international cooperation and the funding for the research had dramatic impact on the visibility of *** average JIF has increased significantly while the journal self-citation rates have decreased in a similar *** journals have had very stable(have not fluctuated)impact factors over *** the period studied,the journals with the higher impact factors(Q1,Q2)published many more papers than journals with the lower impact factors(Q3,Q4).

The growing interest to examine the hydroelastic dynamics and stabilities of lightweight and flexible materials requires robust and accurate fluid–structure interaction（FSI）models. Classically, partitioned fluid and structure solvers are easier to implement compared to monolithic methods;however, partitioned FSI models are vulnerable to numerical（“virtual added mass”） instabilities for cases when the solid to fluid density ratio is low and if the flow is *** a partitioned method, the loosely hybrid coupled（LHC）method, which was introduced and validated in Young et al.（Acta Mech. Sin. 28：1030–1041, 2012）, has been successfully used to efficiently and stably model lightweight and flexible structures. The LHC method achieves its numerical stability by, in addition to the viscous fluid forces, embedding potential flow approximations of the fluid induced forces to transform the partitioned FSI model into a semi-implicit scheme. The objective of this work is to derive and validate the numerical stability boundary of the LHC. The results show that the stability boundary of the LHC is much wider than traditional loosely coupled methods for a variety of numerical integration schemes. The results also show that inclusion of an estimate of the fluid inertial forces is the most critical to ensure the numerical stability when solving for fluid–structure interaction problems involving cases with a solid to fluid-added mass ratio less than one.
