基于对和声搜索优化算法(HSO)特点及其优越性的分析,将其应用于埃及苏伊士湾Amal油田Kareem油藏油藏工程辅助历史拟合中。HSO算法具有如下优越性:对解空间探索和开发能力之间的良好平衡使得算法具有鲁棒性和高效性;生成解的多样性由两个组件有效控制,更适用于油藏工程历史拟合这样的高度非线性问题;和声记忆库取值、微调和随机化3个组件之间的配合有助于找到无偏性解;算法实现过程简单。将HSO算法与油藏工程辅助历史拟合中2种常用的优化技术(遗传算法和粒子群算法)应用于3个不同复杂程度的油藏工程历史拟合问题——2个不同尺度的物质平衡历史拟合和1个油藏历史拟合,通过对比3种算法拟合效果验证了HSO算法的正确性和优越性。Kareem油藏历史拟合结果表明,在辅助历史拟合工作流中采用HSO算法作为优化方法可以显著提高拟合质量,缩短求解时间。

In the last decade,there has been an increasing interest in understanding the effects of changing injected water salinity on the performance of oil reservoirs.This paper aims to investigate the effects of injected water salinity on oil recovery of an Egyptian oil reservoir(Bahariya formation).An experimental work program has been performed using 25 core plugs and 5 different water salinities to study the effects of changing water salinity during both secondary and tertiary stages of waterflooding.The objectives of the experimental work were to(1)investigate the effects of the low water salinity on oil recovery and(2)identify the optimum water salinity and the main reservoir parameters for application of low salinity waterflooding project(LSWF)in Bahariya formation.The results revealed that there is an optimum salinity for waterflooding in the secondary flooding stage.However,for the tertiary flooding stage,the results showed that the controlling factor is not decreasing the salinity,but rather changing the salinity(e.***.either increasing or decreasing).It was also clear that applying the optimum salinity in the secondary recovery stage is more effective than applying it in the tertiary recovery stage.Furthermore,the results showed that the positive impact of LSWF may be expected in reservoirs with high amount of kaolinite,high values of CEC,and low amounts of plagioclase feldspar.This study is an original contribution to develop guidelines for designing optimum salinity waterflooding projects in sandstone reservoirs.

Low salinity water flooding(LSWF)was initially considered using water with a low concentration of dissolved salts and was later extended to include modifying the ionic content of injected brines.This work investigates the effects of changing water salinity and composition along with the concentration of sulfate and iodide ions on oil recovery in carbonate reservoirs during the tertiary recovery stage.An experimental study was carried out using crude oil of 29°API,8 core samples extracted from the Eocene carbonate reservoir(Egypt),and 6 different water salinities.The results showed additional oil recovery up to 5%of the original oil in place(OOIP)in the tertiary recovery stage with changing water salinity and water composition.Injection of high salinity(HS)and low salinity(LS)brines with high sulfate concentrations increased the incremental oil recovery by a value ranging from 1.7 to 3.8%of the OOIP.On the contrary,injection of HS and LS brines with low sulfate concentrations showed insignificant incremental oil recovery(less than 1%of the OOIP).Furthermore,injection of water with potassium iodide(KI)after injection of water with high sulfate brines showed additional oil recovery of about 1.7%of the OOIP.On the other hand,injection of water with KI after injection of water with low sulfate concentration showed insignificant incremental oil recovery(less than 0.4%of the OOIP).The concentration of sulfate in the injected water appeared to be key parameter to achieve effective waterflooding(WF)projects in carbonate reservoirs.Moreover,the results revealed that the multi-component ion exchange(MIE)mechanism seems to be the primary recovery mechanism for LSWF in carbonate reservoirs.The results and conclusions of this study can be used to develop guidelines for designing waterflooding projects in carbonate reservoirs with optimum salinity.

Cubic equation-of-state solid models are one of the most widely used models to predict asphaltene precipitation behavior.Thermodynamic parameters are needed to model precipitation under different pressures and temperatures and are usually obtained through tuning with multi asphaltene onset experiments.For the purpose of enhancing the cubic Peng–Robinson solid model and reducing its dependency on asphaltene experiments,this paper tests the use of aromatics and waxes correlations to obtain these thermodynamic parameters.In addition,weighted averages between both correlations are introduced.The averaging is based on reported saturates,aromatics,resins,asphaltene(SARA)fractions,and wax content.All the methods are tested on four oil samples,with previously published data,covering precipitation and onset experiments.The proposed wax-asphaltene average showed the best match with experimental data,followed by a SARA-weighted average.This new addition enhances the model predictability and agrees with the general molecular structure of asphaltene molecules.

The Safaga Region(SR)is part of the Red Sea mountain range in Egypt.Catastrophic flash flooding is now an inescapable event,wreaking havoc and causing massive loss of life and property.The majority of the floodwater,however,has been wasted as runoff to the Red Sea,which,if used wisely,could meet a fraction of the water demands for a variety of applications in this area.The current work aims to use GIS techniques to integrate remote sensing data for evaluating,mitigating,and managing flash floods in SR.The data set comprised Tropical Rainfall Measuring Mission(TRMM)thematic rainfall data,1:50,000 scale topographical map sheets,geological maps,the ASTER Digital Elevation Model(ASTER GDEM),Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper"(ETM7+),and Landsat 8 Operational Land Imager.The flash flood risk model of SR is developed using ArcGIS-10.3 geoprocessing tools integrating all the causal factors thematic maps.The final flood risk model for the SR suggests that 57%of the total basins in the SR are at high risk of flooding.Almost 38%of all basins are at moderate flood risk.The remaining 5%of basins are less prone to flooding.Flood-prone zones were identified,suitable dam-building sites were located,and extremely probable areas for water recharge were recognized.On the basis of reliable scientific data,structural and non-structural mitigation strategies that might reduce the damage susceptibility,alleviate the sensitivity of the flash flood,and best utilize its water supply were recommended.

INTRODUCTION Preservation of the freshwater resources is a big challenge for a healthy civilized world.Although water consumption increased more than twice the population increase rate,drinking water pollution and freshwater shortage increased dramatically during the last decades(Kar et al.,2012;Mueller and Nowack,2010).Only 0.01%of freshwater resources are suitable for human needs(Rashid et al.,2019),even in the areas of abundant freshwater(Yeston et al.,2006).By 2050,over 5 billion of the world population will be under severe fresh water supply conditions due to climate change and urbanization exacerbate(Sealy,2019;Oves et al.,2015;Kar et al.,2012).Currently,one billion people drink unhygienic water,especially in developing countries which leads to severe waterborne diseases which might cause death(Aminiyan et al.,2018).Twelve million people die every year due to this problem(Zhao et al.,2019;Oves et al.,2015).

Objective:To determine the risk factors for dehydration in elderly people in one of Elbehira Governorate’s villages.Methods:A descriptive correlational design was utilized in this study.The study was conducted at Elnemaria village,Markaz Abo Elmatamir,Elbehira Governorate,Egypt.Data were collected using 3 tools:a structured interviewing questionnaire,a dehydration knowledge questionnaire,and a dehydration risk appraisal checklist.Results:The study found that 29.5%of the par ticipants were aged between 65 and 70.Males constituted 51%of the study par ticipants.The majority of the study participants regularly took anti-acids,anti-inflammatory drugs,and diuretics.Among the elderlies comprising the respondents,40%had a low level of knowledge regarding dehydration.More than half of the study subjects were at moderate risk for dehydration.Conclusions:The study showed that half of the par ticipants had diabetes and a medium level of information about dehydration.The study also showed in general that the elderly in the village are exposed to a moderate dehydration rate,and there is also a strong relationship between taking different types of medication and the occurrence of dehydration.

This study presents the synchronisation between two non-linear Lorenz chaotic systems using an adaptive intuitionistic fuzzy controller(AIFC).This problem is solved in the presence of external disturbances and uncertainties.Two classes of Lorenz systems have been formulated one as the master and the other as the slave.The master and slave systems have different initial conditions.Under different initial conditions,both systems diverge.This is called the butterfly effect that rules the behaviour of chaotic systems.AIFC is chosen as a different method that has not been used before to synchronise the chaotic systems.The scaling factors of the inputs and the output of the intuitionistic fuzzy controller(IFC)are tuned using the artificial bee colony(ABC)algorithm depending on a specified objective function.Then IFC stability is studied when it is applied to synchronise the Lorenz system.The simulation results achieved to assess the adequacy of the proposed control and to exhibit its dependability to synchronise the Lorenz system.

In this work, some new oxadiazole derivatives have been prepared, by reacting phenyl hydrazine and acetic anhydride together, which furnished 2,4-dimethyl-4-phenyloxadiazole. This product was reacted with a series of aromatic aldehydes, to obtain a series of oxadiazole derivatives. These derivatives were characterized by TLC, melting points, infrared red, proton nuclear magnetic resonance, carbon thirteen nuclear magnetic resonance and mass spectroscopy. Finally, these synthetized derivatives were tested for antiproliferative activity by two different cell lines. MCF-7 (Breast cancer cell line) and HepG2 (Liver cancer cell line) were used to assess the antiproliferative activity of the prepared compounds.
