Detection of Perfect stealthy Attacks on Cyber-Physical systems subject to Measurement Quantizations: A Watermark-Based strategy

In this paper, the attack detection problem is investigated for a class of closed-loop systems subjected to unknownbutbounded noises in the presence of stealthy attacks. The measurement outputs from the sensors are quantized before transmission.A specific type of perfect stealthy attack, which meets certain rather stringent conditions, is taken into account. such attacks could be injected by adversaries into both the sensor-toestimator and controller-to-actuator channels, with the aim of disrupting the normal data flow. For the purpose of defending against these perfect stealthy attacks, a novel scheme based on watermarks is developed. This scheme includes the injection of watermarks(applied to data prior to quantization) and the recovery of data(implemented before the data reaches the estimator).The watermark-based scheme is designed to be both timevarying and hidden from adversaries through incorporating a time-varying and bounded watermark signal. subsequently, a watermark-based attack detection strategy is proposed which thoroughly considers the characteristics of perfect stealthy attacks,thereby ensuring that an alarm is activated upon the occurrence of such attacks. An example is provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed mechanism for detecting attacks.

studying the spatiotemporal distribution and transboundary transport of aerosols,NO_(2),sO_(2),and HCHO in typical regions is crucial for understanding regional pollution *** a 2-year study using multi-axis differential optical absorption spectroscopy in Qingdao,shanghai,Xi’an,and Kunming,we investigated pollutant distribution and transport across Eastern China-Ocean,Tibetan Plateau-Central and Eastern China,and China-southeast Asia ***,pollutant distributionwas ***,frequently clouded and misty,exhibited consistently high aerosol optical depth throughout the *** Qingdao and shanghai,NO_(2)and sO_(2),as well as sO_(2)in Xi’an,increased in *** HCHO in summer in shanghai and Xi’an,especially Xi’an,suggests potential ozone pollution ***,pollutant transportation across interfaces was *** the Eastern China-Ocean interface,the gas transport flux was the largest among other interfaces,with the outflux exceeding the influx,especially in winter and *** input of pollutants from the Tibetan Plateau to central-eastern Chinawas larger than the output in winter and spring,with sO_(2)having the highest transport flux in *** pollution input from southeast Asia to China significantly exceeded the output,with spring and winter inputs being 3.22 and 3.03 times the output,***,the transportation characteristics of a pollution event at Kunming were *** this period,pollutants were transported from west to east,with themaximum sO_(2)transport flux at an altitude of 2.87 km equaling 27.74μg/(m^(2)·s).It is speculated that this pollution was caused by the transport from southeast Asian countries to Kunming.

Improvement of photogrammetric joint roughness coefficient value by integrating automatic shooting parameter selection and composite error model

In order to improve the accuracy of the photogrammetric joint roughness coefficient(JRC)value,the present study proposed a novel method combining an autonomous shooting parameter selection algorithm with a composite error ***,according to the depth map-based photogrammetric theory,the estimation of JRC from a three-dimensional(3D)digital surface model of rock discontinuities was ***,an automatic shooting parameter selection algorithm was novelly proposed to establish the 3D model dataset of rock discontinuities with varying shooting parameters and target ***,the photogrammetric tests were performed with custom-built equipment capable of adjusting baseline lengths,and a total of 36 sets of JRC data was gathered via a combination of laboratory and field ***,by combining the theory of point cloud coordinate computation error with the equation of JRC calculation,a composite error model controlled by the shooting parameters was *** newly proposed model was validated via the 3D model dataset,demonstrating the capability to correct initially obtained JRC values solely based on shooting ***,the implementation of this correction can significantly reduce errors in JRC values obtained via photographic ***,our proposed error model was integrated into the shooting parameter selection algorithm,thus improving the rationality and convenience of selecting suitable shooting parameter combinations when dealing with target rock masses with different ***,the optimal combination of three shooting parameters was *** values resulting from various combinations of shooting parameters were verified by comparing them with 3D laser scan ***,the application scope and limitations of the newly proposed approach were further addressed.

Causality,the science of cause and effect,has made it possible to create a new family of *** models are often referred to as causal *** those of mathematical,numerical,empirical,or machine learning(ML)nature,causal models hope to tie the cause(s)to the effect(s)pertaining to a phenomenon(i.e.,data generating process)through causal *** paper presents one of the first works at creating causal models in the area of structural and construction *** this end,this paper starts with a brief review of the principles of causality and then adopts four causal discovery algorithms,namely,PC(Peter-Clark),FCI(fast causal inference),GEs(greedy equivalence search),and GRa sP(greedy relaxation of the sparsest permutation),have been used to examine four phenomena,including predicting the load-bearing capacity of axially loaded members,fire resistance of structural members,shear strength of beams,and resistance of walls against impulsive(blast)*** from this study reveal the possibility and merit of discovering complete and partial causal ***,this study also proposes two simple metrics that can help assess the performance of causal discovery algorithms.

spatial-temporal distribution and emission of urban scale air pollutants in Hefei based on Mobile-DOAs

As a significant city in the Yangtze River Delta regions,Hefei has experienced rapid changes in the sources of air pollution due to its high-speed economic development and urban ***,there has been limited research in recent years on the spatial-temporal distribution and emission of its atmospheric *** address this,this study conducted mobile observations of urban roads using the Mobile-DOAs instrument from June 2021 to May *** monitoring results exhibit a favourable consistent with TROPOMI satellite data and ground monitoring station ***,there were pronounced seasonal variations in air ***,high concentration of HCHO and NO_(2)were closely associated with traffic congestion on roadways,while heightened sO_(2)levels were attributed to winter heating and industrial *** study also revealed that with the implementation of road policies,the average vehicle speed increased by 95.4%,while the NO concentration decreased by 54.4%.In the estimation of urban NO_(x)emission flux,it was observed that in temporal terms,compared with inventory data,the emissions calculated viamobile measurements exhibitedmore distinct seasonal patterns,with the highest emission rate of 349 g/sec in winter and the lowest of 142 g/sec in *** spatial terms,the significant difference in emissions between the inner and outer ring roads also suggests the presence of the city’s primary NO_(x)emission sources in the area between these two *** study offers data support for formulating the next phase of air pollution control measures in urban areas.

Mechanical ventilation is a specialized oxygen therapy and life support technology with significant importance for critically ill patients. In fact, 40%–66% of patients in the intensive care unit(ICU) require mechanical ventilation.^([1,2]) However, the mechanical ventilation can lead to ventilatorassociated lung injury(VALI),^([3]) ultimately resulting in difficulties in weaning from mechanical ventilation,prolonged hospital stays, and even increased mortality.

Damage analysis caused by ^(60)Co ions in functionally graded materials

Functionally graded composite/hybrid materials(FGCM/FGHCM)were produced by adding B_(4)C,TiO_(2),and B_(4)C+TiO_(2)ceramic materials at various ratios(0-50%)into the AA6082 *** analysis of the damage caused by^(60) ions'(1.173-1.1332 MeV)on the material was examined using the sRIM/TRIM Monte Carlo simulation *** the simulation,the following data regarding the atoms of the target materials were obtained:ion distribution,target ionization,total displacements,surface binding energy,lattice binding energy,and displacement *** the studied four materials,the one with the highest ion range value was found to be AA6082 with ***_(2)was found to be the reinforcement material that reduced the ion range the most in the *** to its high binding energy,B_(4)C reinforced AA6082+(0-50%)B_(4)C FGCM was found to have the least vacancy with 4782/ion.

Targeting epigenetic mechanisms in amyloid-β-mediated Alzheimer’s pathophysiology:unveiling therapeutic potential

Alzheimer’s disease is a prominent chronic neurodegenerative condition characterized by a gradual decline in memory leading to *** evidence suggests that Alzheimer’s disease is associated with accumulating various amyloid-βoligomers in the brain,influenced by complex genetic and environmental *** memory and cognitive deficits observed during the prodromal and mild cognitive impairment phases of Alzheimer’s disease are believed to primarily result from synaptic *** life,environmental factors can lead to enduring changes in gene expression and the emergence of brain *** changes,known as epigenetic modifications,also play a crucial role in regulating the formation of synapses and their adaptability in response to neuronal *** this context,we highlight recent advances in understanding the roles played by key components of the epigenetic machinery,specifically DNA methylation,histone modification,and microRNAs,in the development of Alzheimer’s disease,synaptic function,and activity-dependent synaptic ***,we explore various strategies,including enriched environments,exposure to non-invasive brain stimulation,and the use of pharmacological agents,aimed at improving synaptic function and enhancing long-term potentiation,a process integral to epigenetic ***,we deliberate on the development of effective epigenetic agents and safe therapeutic approaches for managing Alzheimer’s *** suggest that addressing Alzheimer’s disease may require distinct tailored epigenetic drugs targeting different disease stages or pathways rather than relying on a single drug.
