Background Comparative and comprehensive omics studies have recently been conducted to provide a comprehensive understanding of the biological mechanisms underlying ***,because these huge omics datasets often contain irrelevant information,editing strategies for summarizing and filtering the data are necessary prerequisite steps for identifying biomarkers of male ***,we attempted to integrate omics data from spermatozoa with normal and below-normal fertility from boars and bulls,including transcriptomic,proteomic,and metabolomic *** enrichment analysis was conducted and visualized using g:Profiler,Cytoscape,EnrichmentMap,and AutoAnnotation to determine fertility-related biological functions according to *** In particular,gamete production and protein biogenesis-associated pathways were enriched in bull spermatozoa with below-normal fertility,whereas mitochondrial-associated metabolic pathways were enriched in boar spermatozoa with normal *** results indicate that below-normal fertility may be determined by aberrant regulation of protein synthesis during spermatogenesis,and the modulation of reactive oxygen species generation to maintain capacitation and the acrosome reaction governs boar sperm *** Overall,this approach demonstrated that distinct molecular pathways drive sperm fertility in mammals in a species-dependent ***,we anticipate that searching for species-specific signaling pathways may aid in the discovery of fertility-related biomarkers within large omics datasets.

A weak form of beyond endoscopic decomposition for the stable trace formula of odd orthogonal groups

we show that the cuspidal component of the stable trace formula of a split special odd orthogonal group over a number field, satisfies a weak form of beyond endoscopic decomposition. we also study the r-stable trace formula, when r is the standard or the second fundamental representation of the dual group, and show that they satisfy a similar kind of beyond endoscopic decomposition. The results are consequences of Arthur's works(2013) on endoscopic classification of automorphic representations, together with known results concerning a class of Langlands L-functions for special odd orthogonal groups.

Current evidence shows that apolipoprotein E （APOE）, apolipoprotein CI （APOC1） and low density lipoprotein receptor-related protein （LRP） variations are related to late-onset Alzheimer＇s disease. However, it remains unclear if genetic polymorphisms in these genes are associated with cognitive decline in late-onset Alzheimer＇s disease patients. we performed a 30-month longitudi- nal cohort study to investigate the relationship between Alzheimer＇s disease and APOE, APOC1, and LRP. In this study, 78 Chinese Han patients with late-onset Alzheimer＇s disease were recruit- ed form Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region in China. APOE, APOC1, and LRP genotyping was performed using polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphisms. The Mini-Mental state Examination and Clinical Dementia Rating scale were used to assess pa- tients＇ cognitive function. After a 30-month follow-up period, we found a significant reduction in Mini-Mental state Examination total score, a higher proportion of patients fulfilling cognitive impairment progression criteria, and a higher proportion of APOC1 H2 carriers in APOE 4 carriers compared with non-carriers. In addition, the APOE 4 allele frequency was significantly higher in the cognitive impairment progression group compared with the non-cognitive im- pairment progression group. In conclusion, APOE e4 plays an important role in augmenting cognitive decline, and APOC1 H2 may act synergistically with APOE ~4 in increasing the risk of cognitive decline in Chinese patients with late-onset Alzheimer＇s disease.

The enthalpies of formation of solid organic compounds containing carbon,nitrogen,oxygen,and hydrogen were estimated using two suggested descriptor sets,separately,by machine learning *** two descriptor sets are both composed of descriptors of Benson’s groups and corrected *** main differences between them are that one is generated based on atoms and the other is based on *** in-house program was specially written in Java to extract all the descriptors with a function to ensure that each atom(or bond)of a molecule is represented by Benson’s groups once for an atom-based(or bond-based)descriptor *** linear regression and partial least squares were used,separately,to build models to predict the enthalpy of formation for two descriptor *** combination of the models constructed by two descriptor sets based on the atoms and the bonds achieved the best-predicted results in this paper,and the corresponding results of the test set are better than that in the literature,from which the original data were ***,a small data set of fluorinated molecules was collected,and satisfactory results were also obtained for these molecules containing fluorine with the assistance of the former data set.

Monodisperse spherical Gd2O2s:Tb nanoparticles have been prepared using an improved homogeneous precipitation method combined with solid-gas sulfuration technology. The effects of Tb3+-doped concentration on luminescent intensity and color purity of samples were investigated, and the optimal Tb3+-doped concentration was determined. Under the excitation of X-ray, the obtained sample shows excellent luminescent properties, and its luminescent intensity is increased by about 50% under lower sulfuration temperature compared with that of the Gd2O2s:Tb nanoparticles prepared by complex precipitation method.

As a conserved transcription factor,FoxO plays a crucial role in multiple physiological processes in vivo,including stress resistance,longevity,growth and *** studies on FoxO have focused on human,mouse,Drosophila melanogaster and Caenorhabditis elegans,while there are few reports on agricultural pests and little is known about how FoxO modulates insect *** Asia,the brown planthopper(BPH)Nilaparvata lugens(st?l)is one of the most serious pests in rice production and high fecundity is the basis of the outbreak of ***,using the genome-wide ChIP-seq of NlFoxO in BPH,we found that NlFoxO binds to the promoters of ribosomal protein s6 kinase(Nls6K)and serine/threonine-protein kinase mTOR(NlTOR)and increases their expression *** also found that NlFoxO directly binds to the exon of vitellogenin(NlVg)and has a specific inhibitory effect on its *** addition,the number of eggs laid and their hatching rate decreased significantly after injection of NlFoxO double-stranded RNA into BPH *** findings provide direct evidence that FoxO modulates insect fecundity through binding to the promoters of Nls6K,NlTOR and the exon of NlVg and affecting their gene expression in the Vg network.
